Astro.com doesn't provide the Venus Return option, so unless a person has other software, this has to be done manually. I consult an ephemeris and then get a relatively precise chart by trial and error. (I don't bother with seconds of arc, so it's bound to be a little off.)
I also run the natal-to-draconic chart.
For one year I was particularly interested in, the VR chart has the draconic sun exactly conjunct Neptune, and some other interesting features that match the circumstances.

My Venus Return for the current year, though my new one will soon start. this ongoing one started last November, and the next one will start at 30th december, when I am going to be in Vienna.
Well I do always direct Venus to the exact degree, Minute and even seconds, as I noticed that if I don`t the degrees on the angles can vary quite a lot.
Anyway I still have to look up the Draco-natal comparision, but my current Venus return Looks very significant.
It has an exact Mercury-ASC conjunction on 7 Sagittarius, conjunct my natal ASC on 7 Sagittarius exact. I mean all on the same degree. and I know from my head that my Draco Moon is on 6°57 Gemini.
And that is the tip of the iceberg of this Venus return only. lol
It is interesting however to find Mercury as ruler of DESC right on the ASC - and I´ve been doing a lot of communicating this year, haven`t I? Especially with the Gentleman whose own natal Mercury is conjunct all of that by 2 degrees (which of course means that my Venus return and his Mercury return last year were maybe just 1-2 days apart)

You're right, lumina, I'm seeing how critical those seconds are. And this puts me at a disadvantage, as I'm going by word-of-mouth birth time and rectification. True you and the gentleman have been talking a lot this past year! I'd say this was the year of the breakthrough, where you're really more like friends in the way you communicate, though....more than friendliness gets communicated.

My Venus Return for the year I met my husband & started dating him: Venus-Mars-Pluto, my husband and ex both have that in stellium. I guess I was resonating with that energy this year. I don't know for sure where this VR ASC lands, but in this estimation it's conjunct my husband's Mars-Pluto. Some highlights: - 19 Virgo tr NN exactly conjunct my Juno - IC conjunct my NN Together these seem to hint at marriage or establishing a home life. - 16 Aries Saturn exactly conjunct my Jupiter (ruler of Venus) and my draconic Venus Maybe Saturn set it all in stone. - 20-21 Libra sun-Mercury conjunct 21 Libra composite Venus It was such a Venus year! --- The draconic version of this chart: 8 Pisces ASC, conjunct my draconic IC and our 8 Pisces draconic composite sun 27 Libra Saturn, conjunct my IC and our composite sun 7 Leo Neptune on his sun, my theoretical ASC 5 Libra moon exactly on his moon 14-17 Gemini Pluto-Venus conjunct my Mars Kind of a hodge-podge. Without knowing him I wouldn't have known how to interpret this, I wouldn't know what goes where. However, the Venus-Mars-Pluto stellium in this chart, which lands on my natal Mars in draconic....I guess I got married in war-like conditions, since my family didn't want me to do it, his family thought we were doing certain things wrong, and it was just way more stressful than any bride ever dreams about. Well he and I have ASC-Mars-Juno in composite so that's the way it had to be, I guess.

Ava your Venus-position should not vary this much though, especially since your birthtime is certainly correct in the range of maybe 15 minutes. That would not matter that much with Venus. As for the other thing, well, this thought just struck me earlier today: "If looking back in later years, this year will be remembered as the turning point." Well you cannot always see where things are headed at the turning point, but I definitely think this was such a year. And yes, it seems that we are communicating in a way like friends, at least we seem to share very similiar humour and thinking patterns. And yes, there is more than friendliness, I guess. Sometimes it shines through, and I guess I have to accept my part in this as well. I am not completely innocent here. even though I like to pretend that it all "just happens to me". Well, nothing really "just happens" to someone with Sun in 1st house and Pluto on the MC. lol Well not that something really happened, but I guess it`s become pretty clear to anyone, and even to us ourselves, that obviously we do have a certain soft spot for each other. Anyway I also looked up the Venus return for his marriage year, and in that year he had Return DESC falling exactly (just a few minutes orb) onto his natal Juno. Natal Venus was conjunct the ASC, but placed in 12th house, and there was a Mars-Jupiter-opposition from the intercepted 1st - 7th house in Aquarius - Leo. MC on 29 Scorpio conjunct Saturn on 00 Sag Definitely a marriage year, with Venus-Juno overlaying the horizon, and the manifestation of comitment with Saturn-MC (though it is interesting that MC fell onto an anarectic degree and squared his nodal axis exact), with the intercepted 1st - 7th Mars-Jupiter-opposition however and with a loaded 12th house of the Return chart (Sun conjunct PLuto on 9 and 13 Capricorn; Mercury conjunct Venus on 22 and 25 Capricorn), there seems to have been going on quite a bit behind the scenes. interestingly his wife`s Moon possibly opposed the Venus-Return-chart Sun, albeit probably widely; her Mercury-Venus fell onto the SN in 2nd house within 2 degrees; her Mars conjunct the Moon by 2 degrees (Moon ruling the DESC), her Saturn conjunct the MC-Saturn-conjunction by 3 degrees (it was shortly after her Saturn-Return) and her Ceres fell right onto the Return IC opposing Saturn (synastrically her Ceres is in partile square to his nodal axis, and chiron as well as Saturn are squaring it with an orb of 3 degrees each) But well I did not want to delve into that too deeply, I just found it interesting that natal Venus-Juno was overlaying the horizon. and that there was so much in the 12th house going on.

Thanks lumina! I followed all of that....very interesting. Her Ceres squaring his nodes, what could that be about? I won't criticize this because my Ceres is squaring his nodes as well. What's his VR like for the "Fall In Love" year?

I have Ceres (and Jupiter) square my Nodes in my natal. Anyway, I am not completely sure, but possibly this could represent a skipped step, so meeting him, there is some unfinished business or she has to develop nurturing qualities. And he possibly has to accept that Ceres symbolism in some way. Actually my first thought really was that with that it seems pretty clear that her becoming a mother was written in their cards. lol But her Ceres is differently placed than yours, though at the same spot. You have it as apex of a minor triangle with Saturn and Vesta, much more grounded, stable. Her Ceres is placed pretty difficult, as it is (widely ) conjunct Chiron and opposing Saturn, so this makes a Grand Cross with his nodal axis. Not sure what this means or how they experience it, but it migh be challenging. especially since her Saturn is actually unaspected in her chart (major aspects and planets), she doesn`t quite know what to do with that energy, and it tends to run away with her chart. So being inclined to extremes. being completely indulgent or controlling, with Ceres, even overbearing. And well, posessive, at least in a mental way (as it is in Gemini), but Ceres really demands to be given the ability to express her nurturing, and if people don`t quite want that or not always and not that way, she might become a bit moody. Well it is not easy to say how it is in their synastry, except for the square to the nodal axis, her Ceres only has a square to his BML on his NN, and a widish quinkunx to his Moon, neither really stabilizing aspects. Nevertheless, squares to the nodal axis often scream "meant to be" to me, however since it seems to be something to work out, the question is for how long it`s meant to be, probably just as long as it takes to acutally work it out, especially if there are no conjunctions to the NN. AS for the "Fall in love" Venus return, I will have a look later, but of course it was also a year of the huge break up with his longterm girlfriend, as well as meeting his future wife, though interestingly enough the first time I saw them together (well on a picture, and it was clear they were not yet that close, though getting closer) was just about 2 weeks before the NEW Venus Return would take place, and that one, was on first glance pretty unbeatable in terms of relationship potential (ASC falling onto his Saturn-Vertex-DESC; IC falling onto his Sun-Moon-MC and I am pretty sure there was more. lol) As for the Fall in love Venus return, I want to give it a bit more time, than I actually have right now, so I will be back with that.

your marriage - dating venus return looks so beautiful.
I am fascinated with the NN-Juno (so Juno again! how fitting!) and the IC-theme, and yes definitely a year to make a family.
But also with that Pluto stellium, especially since it confirms what was already present in other charts.

Well the first thing that struck me about his FIL-Venus Return was how close it took place to my solar return that year, just a few hours before, so basically the planets are the same, even thouhg my Solar Return Moon was at 28 Virgo and of course the angles changed the picture. And I guess my Solar Return with Moon exactly on the MC on 28 Virgo as apex of a Yod with Neptune-Chiron on 28 Aqua and 1 Pisces in 3rd house and Jupiter on 00 Taurus in 5th house and the Moon being opposing Uranus on 00 ARies on the IC I WAS crazy that year. In particular that Moon-Neptune-quinkunx looks awkward to me, didn`t help to have Neptune in 3rd house (and ruling the IC), I guess. Though it almost made me smile to see the Neptune-Chiron-conjunction, not that this cannot be hard, but we`ve had that in our first meeting chart, too, just then it was in Aquarius and on the NN additionally, and with our Neptune-Chiron-DW in synastry, I suppose it is just fitting that it came up (it was of course coming up in his Venus Return as well, just that for him it was also conjunct his SN on 1 Pisces exact, the Chiron part mostly. Sounds easy - breezy, right? Chiron on SN, and a lot of BML interaction, too, with his Venur return having BML squaring the NEptune-Chiron-conjunction AND additionally my natal BML on 28 Aquarius fell onto the Neptune-Chiron and his natal BML on 28 Leo was opposite. Yeah well, BML has her own agenda usually. though not really, maybe that is one of the most challenging things about her, that she doesn`t really have an agenda but being true to her self and allergic against anything that even just remotely resembles a compromise or surrendering to social norms. lol I know there are more major things to observe in his Venus Return, but I found that interesting. just like I found it interesting how his VR Sun was exactly conjunct my natal Sun-Mercury. bTW my VR Sun (about 2 weeks earlier) was conjunct his n Mercury exact, too. So I guess talking would have been a good idea. lol

I`ve been checking my brother`s Venus Return of this year, after all he`s gotten married. Having said that, I find it interesting that he`s been going through a pretty hard time this year, my mom thinks he might even be depressed (I think it is the double pressure of being a father and starting a really stressful job-period, and him being afraid if he will be able to manage it all). It`s interesting to see that P and him seem to go through similiar stressful periods and obviously responding similiarly to them; they both have the same set of angles, I think they are even partile conjunct, so both of them get their dose of Tr Saturn on the MC and squaring the ASC-DESC. However in my brother`s case this seems to not be as relevant to the sector of relationships as it seems for P (for P Tr Saturn squares his Saturn on the DESC, and Tr Uranus squares Venus, the ruler of intercepted 7th house // for my brother there seems to be more an additional Neptunian theme, as he has Neptune, his chartruler, on the MC, Tr Saturn is also conjunct Neptune, while Tr Neptune has returned to square his Moon-Jupiter-Uranus and then will once more conjunct his Sun - which might contribute to a certain feeling like he is "swimming in midair", or as Tyl calls it: "a time of bewilderment and dissolution of identity and ego-loss". Of course it is also immensely imaginative and creative; but there is no harsh transit as I can see to his 7th house, except the Tr Saturn squaring the DSC, anyway I disgress. lol) for my brother`s Venus Return I identified these possibly important configurations: ° Venus ruling the DESC (Taurus) of the Return chart and being placed in 5th house, opposite Jupiter in 11th house exact Dr Neptune (Dr-4th house) conjunct Jupiter and opposite Venus now he`s never wanting to get married, and very much emphasizing how it was just a pragmatic decision. However seeing this configuration, I think I have never ever seen a more romantic picture! lol High idealism, maybe not all that realistic. Brings to mind that they were picking their own song for the ceremony, well my brother did, and it is clear that he picked it for the lyrics (he semi-admitted that. lol) "I BELIEVE IN A THING CALLED LOVE SONGTEXT Can't explain all the feelings That you're making me feel My heart's in overdrive And you're behind the steering wheel Touching you, touching me Touching you, god you're touching me I believe in a thing called love Just listen to the rhythm of my heart There's a chance we could make it now We'll be rocking 'til the sun goes down I believe in a thing called love I wanna kiss you Every minute, every hour, every day You got me in a spin But everything is "A" O.K! Touching you, touching me Touching you, god you're touching me I believe in a thing called love Just listen to the rhythm of my heart There's a chance we could make it now We'll be rocking 'til the sun goes down I believe in a thing called love Touching you, touching me Touching you, god you're touching me I believe in a thing called love Just listen to the rhythm of my heart There's a chance we could make it now We'll be rocking 'til the sun goes down I believe in a thing called love"" well yes so much for, pragmatic and unromantic. ° Return ASC in Scorpio, falling into his natal 7th house, conjunct his natal Saturn there - so another angular Saturn! Return Mercury widely on Return DESC in Taurus (4-5 degrees); Mercury rules the cusp of his natal DESC Return Mercury also opposes natal Saturn of course, a lot of light falling onto the 7th house ° Return is ruled by Pluto and that one was in Capricorn conjunct Juno with only 1 degree, just out of being partile. Wow! So Juno again - it is in 3rd house of the Return chart (I start wondering what it is about 3rd house placements, they seem so unromantic, yet I see them coming up) Avalooking at your Venus Return you had the chartruler ALSO in the 3rd house (conjunct Mercury), of course it was in Libra Draco Mars-Vertex (Dr 8th) conjunct that Pluto-Juno Dr Pluto-Juno conjuncts the MC - so angularity again, and MC makes sense for years where a commitment is being formalized and publicly confirmed I think ° Return Sun in Taurus in 7th house square NN in 10th house exact Dr Sun on 00 Capricorn (Dr 7th) conjunct Saturn (2nd) Dr Uranus (6th) opposite Sun in 7th ° Retirm SN in Aquarius in 4th (natal 12th) SN conjunct his natal Mercury-Juno-conjunction (Mercury ruling his DESC) Natally this is in 12th house, but in this Return it also falls into 4th house BTW they got married one day after the solar eclipse of august, and that took place exactly opposite all this, so they waited to get married until the day the SE was exact on his Venus Return NN-degree. lol ° other maybe not so coherent things Return Moon in Pisces in 4th (what a softie! lol) Return Saturn in 2nd conjunct natal Neptune - MC Return Neptune in 4th conjunct n Sun in 12th Return Uranus in 6th oposite n Pluto in 7th Return Chiron in 5th conjunct n ASC-Avx Return AVX in 2nd conjunct n Moon-Jupiter in 9th (maybe not marriage relevant that much?)

luminaThanks for your replies "But also with that Pluto stellium, especially since it confirms what was already present in other charts." Also, Pluto in that chart (3 Sag) falls on the ASC-Mars-Juno of our draconic composite (2-3 Sag). "BML has her own agenda usually. though not really, maybe that is one of the most challenging things about her, that she doesn`t really have an agenda but being true to her self and allergic against anything that even just remotely resembles a compromise or surrendering to social norms. lol" I love this description! Mine's in Aries so it's extra hotheaded and selfish. " just like I found it interesting how his VR Sun was exactly conjunct my natal Sun-Mercury. bTW my VR Sun (about 2 weeks earlier) was conjunct his n Mercury exact, too. So I guess talking would have been a good idea. lol" Very cool. Also his moon-Mars conjunction is trine your composite sun. In draconic that moon-Mars falls on your Venus or sun-Venus midpoint at least (can't really tell without the degrees listed). Draco Vertex conjunct Pluto on your Venus, hmm... I couldn't follow all you said about the Neptune-Chiron stuff, and really just putting those words together generates so many ideas I practically go cross-eyed, thinking of all the phantom pains people can have (downside of Neptune) and conversely, all the healing potential of Neptune (remote healing, unconditional love). My draconic Neptune is conjunct natal Chiron @ 23 Aries and I know this aspects your draconic synastry with P, so maybe my prayers about you two carry extra force (praying you'll hug, praying you'll talk, praying he'll return your banana bread pan from the stage........jk) "now he`s never wanting to get married, and very much emphasizing how it was just a pragmatic decision. However seeing this configuration, I think I have never ever seen a more romantic picture! lol High idealism, maybe not all that realistic." Mm hmm. You see how draconic adds so much to the whole picture? "Return ASC in Scorpio, falling into his natal 7th house, conjunct his natal Saturn there - so another angular Saturn!" That's wild. It really makes sense for Saturn to be prominent in marriages and weddings, though, don't you think? Whether the marriage lasts or not, it's all very saturnine....which reminds me of a funny line from a movie my kids were watching yesterday: "Why would you want to get married? Just find a woman you know you'll hate in five years, and give her your house." LOL (I assume that houses, being actual structures, are a Saturn thing. Cancer makes the *home* in the house the Cappy built.) "Return is ruled by Pluto and that one was in Capricorn conjunct Juno with only 1 degree, just out of being partile. Wow!" I got married with Juno-Pluto at 10-11 Sag, on my Neptune. *Imagines hearing evil, snickering laughter in the background.* LOL, it's gotten better over time but definitely I was somewhat delusional about the intensity of what I was getting into. And that's a current conjunction btw...Juno @ 16 Cap, Pluto @ 17 Cap. "Draco Mars-Vertex (Dr 8th) conjunct that Pluto-Juno" Mirrors what I was saying about P's draco Vertex on tr Pluto, with draco Mars close by. "MC makes sense for years where a commitment is being formalized and publicly confirmed I think" I agree. "Return Moon in Pisces in 4th (what a softie! lol)" LOL, I have that in my VR too, you see, but this is only for the year I met and started dating my husband (and agreed to marry him). Formal engagement and marriage were in the following VR. By the way my Venus Persona chart has a Pisces moon, so I wonder if that is significant, prediction-wise? I mean, I really don't know what Persona charts are for, I just play around with them using the Secret Language readings, and I'm sure that's not what Persona Charts were created for. "BTW they got married one day after the solar eclipse of august, and that took place exactly opposite all this, so they waited to get married until the day the SE was exact on his Venus Return NN-degree. lol" He's not into astrology at all, is he? But with so much Neptune, maybe he just sense what's supposed to happen, and when.

This thread is so interesting. My venus return this year begins on November 20th, which coincides with a long planned romantic weekend. So transiting Venus conjuncts my natal Venus. In the Venus return year of our first meeting, Juno was conjunct the Sun.
This year's Venus is in the 1st house, where chart ruler is also Venus. It sextiles Pluto, semitextiles Mars on one side and the Moon on the other. And it is conjunct the anti-vertex. Not sure what the anti- vertex conjuction implies.

Ava "Very cool. Also his moon-Mars conjunction is trine your composite sun." Don`t you mean composite Venus? Well I`ve always thought we lack something in mid-Virgo in our composite. lol Actually we do have HAUMEA there (Hawaian Goddess of fertility. lol) " In draconic that moon-Mars falls on your Venus or sun-Venus midpoint at least (can't really tell without the degrees listed). Draco Vertex conjunct Pluto on your Venus, hmm... " It does? Let me check... No it doesn`t. Draco Moon on 3 Capricorn, Draco Mars on 1 Capricorn (of course it`s interesting that when we first met it was with a Moon-Pluto-conjunction on 0-1 Cap. lol) But nope orbs are too far off, Sun/Venus-mp is on 6 Cap, it seems to be on our Mercury/Venus-mp however. My natal MErcury/Venus is on 00 Cap, his is on 02 Cap, so it seems Draco Mars fell right onto the composite one, and of course this was activating his own Mercury/Venus-mp. ONe could be led to think he might have been writing a song or something. BTW my Venus Returnn was having an exact Venus-Pluto-conjunction on 6 Capricorn that year. "y draconic Neptune is conjunct natal Chiron @ 23 Aries" Transcending pain into spiritual healing and conversely infuse the physical with that understanding. And yes your praying did help. So what are you praying for for the concert in 2 weeks? Just wanna be prepared, you know. lol "Mm hmm. You see how draconic adds so much to the whole picture?" Never said it didn`t. HOwever I don`t use it to substitute the tropical (not saying you do, I just like to keep it straight in my head what each zodiac means), but to elaborate on it. "That's wild. It really makes sense for Saturn to be prominent in marriages and weddings, though, don't you think?" Yes, absolutely. So far I´ve found outstanding results with Saturn and Juno. Well my mom does not seem to fall into that pattern, however her Return NN was near her n DESC, and what I found very compelling, within VEnus Return, Draco Juno was conjunct the Return ASC by just 2 minutes. "Why would you want to get married? Just find a woman you know you'll hate in five years, and give her your house." hahah, I will memorize this! (I assume that houses, being actual structures, are a Saturn thing. Cancer makes the *home* in the house the Cappy built.) Yes, great way of putting it. You need Saturn to make things stable (and protected from the elements, talking about houses), but if there is no Moon/Cancer, so nothing inside, the house is just an empty shell with wind echoing through empty halls. And of course you will want a play-room for Venus and Mars as well. "I got married with Juno-Pluto at 10-11 Sag, on my Neptune. " See? It works! "And that's a current conjunction btw...Juno @ 16 Cap, Pluto @ 17 Cap. " Oh Juno is on our composite currently? Anyway yes, well my brother has gotten married in august, and I think Juno was going retrograde sometime in between then and now. "I mean, I really don't know what Persona charts are for, " For describing a planet in very much detail. So Venus Persona should tell you how you approach Venusian things in very much detail. Our birth chart is actually our Sun-Persona chart. lol "But with so much Neptune, maybe he just sense what's supposed to happen, and when. " Yes, I think so. He`s very perceptive and intuitive and probably sometimes to his own detriment, I mean taking things so hard. Or as my mom just said compared to him I am really "robust" (and she considers me hypersensitive as well. lol well I reminded her, that I am robust NOW, and she also recalled the really tough times I`ve been through, with my panick attacks and bouts of dizziness, which always made me fear I was going to die any moment. For real! Honestly speaking I haven`T thought about this for quite some time, and I think my stabilized surroundings helped, but maybe what helped the most was really meeting P. Somehow he anchored me, or made me come aware that I was real, or something. ARriving in my own self, or centred in it, I don`t know. I just know that my way of dealing with things, perceiving them, feeling them even, changed so much, that I hardly can recall how life used to be before, or at least it becomes more and more difficult to identify with the way I was then. I guess I msut have grown up somewhen inb etween, and I don`t mean that in a bad way!)

. In the Venus return year of our first meeting, Juno was conjunct the Sun. My sister in law has this this year, and well she got married to my brother. No - I misrembered; she is having Sun conjunct Pluto with Pluto ruling the 7th house and Sun the 5th; and Saturn conjunct Juno with SAturn ruling the 10th
Interestingly enough she is having a Taurus ASC, and my brother a scorpio ASC this year. Venus as ruler of her ASC is in 11th house conjunct SN. for my brother it is Venus as ruler of DESC in 5th house. Perfect match up. lol Complementary.
This year's Venus is in the 1st house, where chart ruler is also Venus. I imagine this to be important, Venus ruling or sitting on the angles, especially, 1st and 7th, though 4th and 10th possibly, as well. And for a year to fall in love I could imagine a 5th house Venus to be really charming. 8th house Venus might be very intense and transformative, though could go different ways I suppose. Venus in 12th, well it always makes me think of clandestine relationships. lol Or at least about something VEnusian under radar, below surface, just as if Libra or Taurus is intercepted, or any sign in the 7th house intercpeted, or Venus being intercepted. There might be double agendas in play. or something surprisingly surfacing that you did not expect before.
"And it is conjunct the anti-vertex. Not sure what the anti- vertex conjuction implies." similiar to Vertex, just that you might be a bit more proactive, instead of having things just happen to you. Though the sudden surprise factor might still be there.

Very interesting topic. I'll read carefully a bit later, but to let you know Planetdance (free software) does Venus Return calculation (go File->Returns). Me and my husband don't have a first-meeting date, so I use our first-kiss one On the day, his Venus/Mercury(exact) conjunct NN(3) in 5H. I had Sun/Venus(3) 1H trine Pluto 5H.

Very interesting topic. I'll read carefully a bit later, but to let you know Planetdance (free software) does Venus Return calculation (go File->Returns). Yes, I just find it a pity that they use the mean node so I can`t get a Draconic chart there on the basis of the true Node. I like however that you can also calculate the other zodiacs, like a Venus-zodiac for example. My Venus zodiac (same thing as Draco, just related to Venus, instead of the nodal axis), interestingly has DESC conjunct P`s n NN exact, as well as MC conjunct his natal Moon-MC exact and of course conjunct his Sun, too. in his Venus zodiac the conjunction of his Sun-Moon-MC falls onto his natal SN and my Venusian ASC, just on first glance, there are some more interesting things happening. like his Venusian Pluto falling exact on my natal Sun-Mercury, and my Venusian Uranus falling exact on his natal Venus and stuff like that. Well but probably this is too much off topic now. lol

Is that in your Venus return for that year or an event chart for the day? Sun-Venus definitely sounds sweet. In a returnchart I always place a lot of importance what is conjunct the Sun, as this seems to be spotlighted for the year (or the Moon, ASC, MC and Vertex in particular, I also keep an eye on the NN to be honest)
