^ I'm happy when other people find what works for them. My three long-term relationships all had/have sun-Mars synastry: * the square (double whammy) * his Mars trine my sun * his draconic Mars conjunct my sun (husband) Maybe I was always drawn to that because I have a near-exact sun-Mars aspect natally? For me these readings are pretty accurate: cafeastrology.com/synastry/sun_mars.htmlConsidering my husband's draconic Mars the same as tropical... "With Sun conjunct Mars in synastry, there is a real physical connection between the two that generally presents itself as sexual attraction and physical chemistry. There is a true feeling of progressiveness and energy between the two of you. The potential to both challenge each other and frustrate each other, as discussed above, is somewhat high..." Mmm, the good with the bad.

IME - not so much about intimacy (that's moon-mars or other moon or pluto stuff for me), but attraction, yes.
As the Mars person, although I am not pushier (because a.) my mars is square saturn and b.) I'm an awkward gal) but I am 'angrier'. Or at least, display my temper to these people a lot more. Vice-versa when it's their mars on my sun. Both of these are about the conjunction.
Trines and sextiles are fine, fun but not overwhelming. Unless they make bad contact with my Pluto.
The square - depends on the person, really. If they're aware of their strength and aggression, then it's not so bad.

How was the trine? If that's not too personal. His Mars @ 14° Virgo trine my sun @ 15° Cap. It was a complicated relationship, but definitely had its strengths. I'll just focus on those...the trine energy. He must've been attracted to me physically because he asked me out before we ever met. There was nothing else to go on, he just liked my style or something. So the physical attraction came first. And I was always physically attracted to him. Beyond that, earth signs are grounded. So my world was sometimes upside down but he was always there for me, and vice versa. It's like even if we weren't getting along, we would naturally fall into a rhythm and work together. He got very sick so I took care of him and did his homework. When we were broken up and my life was consumed with drama, he seemed to appear out of nowhere, insisting that I come home with him so he could cook for me and get me back to normal. Like magnets. We just kept gravitating to each other, even if it made no sense, it just sort of happened. One day I was walking down the street with a friend complaining about him. We were broken up. Then he turned a corner, shot me a look, ignored me. I said to my friend, "On second thought.....I just want to follow him home now, dammit!!" I forget if I followed him home. If I did, he would have let me in. He never blocked me. I think if I ran into him on the street we would naturally want to pick up where we left off, not with the physical (not possible) but living out that same wavelength and magnetism again.

I can understand that on an astrological perspective, the attraction, but as far as i never have been drawn to that aspect. Well p's wifes sun is trine my mars, but i dont think that counts. Lol seriously though just never happens for me. Well my own natal mars is in sag in 12th house, conjunct neptune, square jupiter widely, and its dispositor in piscesbin 3rd house square neptune on the asc.
Maybe my mars is just too un-Sun to even register that in synastry. Like it seems quite foreign.

@blindlion
good point about the decan! I probably would place more important on this than on a minor aspect, except maybe the semisquare/ sesisquare or quintile/ biquintile.
my Sun is actually in a Sun-ruled decan. Never realized that before. lol my Mars is in a Jupiter-ruled decan. Seems there is simply no cross connection between Sun and Mars in my chart, except they are in the same sign.

I'm in the habit of paying attention to minor aspects (especially if they are very exact) and hardly ever think of decans. I guess they go together?
I have Venus semisextile Uranus exact to the minute; my ex's Venus in the Uranus decan of Libra....this has meaning in synastry perhaps?
My sun and Mars are quincunx, both in Venus decans. Mars on the helio NN of Venus as well. No idea what it means except even within these acrimonious relationships I've endured, I did try and keep up the Venus aspects, niceties, surface pleasantry.

My Mars is sextile the Sun and Moon of S. We met on a goal-setting website called 43 Things (that's now gone). I have a group of friends from that site, we all congregated on facebook (most of us did), when the site was deleted. I really miss that site. It was something special.
Anyway, his Mars might be widely sextile my Sun, but I'm not sure. It might be just out of range by one degree.
My sister's Mars is trine my Sun, too. My Mars is sextile hers. We did have times when we got along well. That's what I miss. We balanced each other out.
My Mars is also sextile my dad's Sun.

^ Ah, that reminds me...my Gemini Mars is sextile one brother's sun in Aries, trine another brother's sun-Mercury in Aqua. I talk on the phone with these two; my other brothers, hardly ever. Hmm.
I haven't known what to say about my co-worker with Virgo Mars trine my sun. I think he's totally ambivalent towards me except he's so helpful it's like Christmas morning sometimes, and when I tell him how much I appreciate his help he says, "I appreciate your appreciation" which feels true. Also he stands too close to me sometimes. I don't mind proximity, not if I'm okay with a person's vibes, but I just don't get this. Except it makes sense with astrology -- it is what it is.

Sorry to talk about coworkers (boring) but that's who I see all the time lately. As I said on another thread, my Mars tightly conjunct another coworker's sun, he was a pro fighter.
Today, tr sun conjunct his Mars, tr Mars conjunct our composite Pluto...he offered to teach me how to fight for real. 😂
It's not that I'm a klutz or sissy exactly, but I'm laughing because the whole situation is bizarre.

AvaTrue astrological symbolism. If you cant have sex with those aspects you need to be physical or active in a different constructive way. Otherwise it can switch to the other side. But seriously great astro manifestation here.

Ava"You two are late, you should have been meeting today." Haha. Well, he is somewhere rehearsing for the premiere next weekend (curiously a play he has been doing before, but now taking over a different role; from the youthful hero - to the aging bad guy. LOL) Actually, in trying to escape carnival in Germany, I was booking a ticket yesterday, even though I always said I wouldn`t go there, but only after getting the confirmation I saw how strange that date (my grandpa`s birthday btw) looks: 22.02.2020 Erm, something to do with 2? lol But as for the other thing, well I guess his wife would take some issues with him seeing me on THEIR wedding anniversary. lol But interesting so our composite will have a Mars-Return (8th/ 9th november). And actually his wife and him are having their composite Nodal return (7th/ 8th november) - and also had a composite Mars-Return (1st june). "Do you even have plans yet?! " No. lol Of course not. Well I am planning to see a concert with him and three others on 25th november, but not sure that qualifies as "meeting". 28 Leo NN 29 Leo Mars, Rx 28 Aqua SN-Jupiter, Rx 24 Scorpio Uranus, Rx Aww a Mars-NN in Leo with Jupiter and Uranus. that looks exciting. liberating. Punch those frozen fruits and vegetables! You will certainly beat them. lol

Hi lumina "Well, he is somewhere rehearsing for the premiere next weekend" Will you be there? Sorry, I can never keep track of your schedule. "22.02.2020 Erm, something to do with 2? lol" Pretty wild! "Well I am planning to see a concert with him and three others on 25th november, but not sure that qualifies as "meeting". " So that's the next time you meet? "Aww a Mars-NN in Leo with Jupiter and Uranus. that looks exciting. liberating. Punch those frozen fruits and vegetables! You will certainly beat them. lol " I asked him what's the first thing he teaches (because he has taught fighting at a gym before) and it's how to make a fist, which knuckles to use, how to avoid breaking your hand and wrist. Aw, what a cutie he is. But I'm speaking on an emotional level. All things considered I'll be surprised if I know him for more than a few months, even though he's always inviting me places...which is probably also all our Mars. "Let's do this....let's do that...." I doubt I'll ever see him outside of work. I mean we can't even coordinate a coffee break together. Edit - LOL, I missed that about punching vegetables.

Hi Ava "Will you be there?" No, I won`t. I am on a "break" so to speak. lol Though my aquaintance was a little shocked when she asked me the same thing and I said I wouldn`t be there. But she also was the one, who at the last musical event (not P related), was having that freudian slip, when seeing my ticket/ seat, that I probably was seated closest to "P". She meant another guy from the group, but seems even she cannot think of me without thinking of him simultaneously. lol And honestly speaking I have seen him much less often than she did! (She will actually be at the premiere). "So that's the next time you meet?" Well not sure this really is a "meeting", but yes I will be there. hopefully at least. I still hae to somehow organize a ride back as it is a monday. But I learned that in these instances the universe has my back, if it is meant to be, something will come up by chance. Of course I probably will have to undergo the whole love of my life talk again. But I think I might have matured and gotten over it in the recent months? "I asked him what's the first thing he teaches (because he has taught fighting at a gym before) and it's how to make a fist, which knuckles to use, how to avoid breaking your hand and wrist." Sounds reasonable to me. Also you should somehow find a time for a coffee break, sounds you get along pretty well. and who knows? Maybe you might have met a friend?

^ I don't know how I feel about that. Being friends with him. I'm not attracted to him, and assume I can avoid feeling anything, via willpower. I'm a great fan of his synastry and composite with his fiance and want to stay out of their lives and business entirely. But he invites me to go out with them and his other friends, and it's a little bit tempting, if only to broaden my horizons.
Off topic, with my Sag Venus *exact* on his south node, and his Jupiter conjunct my sun, he's coming from a different angle than I am familiar with. (Oh and transiting Venus is there now.) You understand, my Venus is seeking out that expansive, larger-than-life energy. Yesterday he was telling me that when he meditates, he leaves his body from the top of his head. While I was at meditation that "cue" came to me and to make a long story short, that meditation session was different from any other I'd had.
He seemed like he wanted to come to meditation, but I didn't invite him. I didn't invite him because I realized I wanted him there. If I feel drawn in whatsoever, it's time to take steps back. That's just how it goes.
Please don't quote, will erase, just wanted to explain a bit ^
As for the concert stuff you mentioned, and Jupiter (sorry to go off topic!) won't tr Jupiter be on your suns then?
I wonder when Mars will hit your suns (back on topic!)

Ava just shortly, I really meant a friendship out of the romance context. We all also need people around us we just like, without romantic thoughts. Interesting about the meditation experience, I would like to hear more about it, but maybe you don´t want to share it here. 2As for the concert stuff you mentioned, and Jupiter (sorry to go off topic!) won't tr Jupiter be on your suns then? 2 well actually it will be on our Suns, starting with mine more around next week and the following one I think. will be on my Sun on 14th november, on his on 18th november and on composite Sun on 15th november. Of course it spans some more even using just one degree orb. For me: Me: 9th-18th november him: 14th - 23rd november composite: 11th - 20th november so basically the week before the concert seems to be important. However at the time of the concert there will be a transiting Venus-Jupiter-conjunction on 28 Sag, which is exact on his natal Moon-MC conjunction on 28 Sag and there will be an exact opposition of transiting Mars on 3 Scorpio to transiting Uranus on 3 Taurus. And we both have Sun/Jupiter-mp on 3°34 of the fixed signs, his on Scorpio, mine on Aquarius, so both are always triggered simultaneously, though possibly it will be stronger for him, esp. with the transiting Mars right on his Sun/Jupiter - maybe he will be in one of his joking moods. Hopefully. lol Also that day his pr Moon will be on 25°08 Gemini, opposing my natal Mercury on 25°03 Sag and Sun on 25°56 Sag, and the month after that will make a fullmoon with his own chart. Also the Moon-Saturn-conjunction in our progressed composite (20 Leo) will be separating by just 11 minutes, so absolutely partile. Hmm interesting that that Moon-Saturn-conjunction happens with Transiting Jupiter simultanesously conjunct composite Sun. "I wonder when Mars will hit your suns (back on topic!)" february 2020, just 2 days or so, after the musical history concert (which I hopefully will get tickets for on saturday. lol)

@blindlion - Ah, that's nice. Sounds like a good time. I'm glad to hear that her Mars on your sun doesn't bother you. Some of the readings for sun-Mars mention that Mars can get on the sun's nerves. Cap Mars has gotten on my nerves before (sorry, Mom.) But I've never experienced that in synastry with a guy, not that I know of. I think I'm not getting on my co-worker's nerves (my Mars on his Gemini sun) but it's hard to tell because he can be really silent and unreachable sometimes. I never press the issue, I just walk right past him. Sometimes he calls out to me for conversation and I think, "Oops I was just rude," but sometimes he doesn't. I think we are getting to know our rhythm. It's almost like nothing is really of consequence. Air signs are cool that way.

lumina , I didn't realize Jupiter was so close to your suns (yours and P's I mean...you don't get more than one sun for yourself...that would be unfair). I didn't realize Mars was so far away! Well I'm looking forward to that next event even if Jupiter will have passed your suns. I think I'd be bouncing around in my seat if I were you...this looks like a great transit! I don't know if physical attraction is always a choice. For me in the past it could fire up in a moment (my Venus-Uranus?). I wasn't romantically attracted to H for the first month we were dating. I just thought we were too dorky for romance. Nobody would cast us in a movie. LOL...he got better looking in time. ^ Edit: that's on topic! Sun square Mars DW. No physical attraction when we first met, not for years actually. Sat next to him in history class and barely registered his existence. That's Libra Mars.... As for Aries Mars, sorry but they just kinda scare me....not all...but the one I know intimidates me. Pls don't quote

Ava "I didn't realize Jupiter was so close to your suns"# Neither did I. But well you know sometimes Jupiter-transits just make you lazy and selfindulgent. and nothing hugesly rewarding happens. Though when my solar arc Jupiter was precisely trine my Sun (yes I know we do not really work with trines in solar arcs, but seems it worked nevertheless. lol) P was performing this hilarious last christmas scene on his concert for me. That was at least nice. Even though he naturally scolded me for having dared to wish for "THAT" song. LOL (I know though that he likes it himself, so let him complain as much as he wants, he loved having the opportunity to do that on stage and not even have to take responsibility for it. After all it was all my fault, right? lol) of course I WAS lazy and selfindulgent. lol (yours and P's I mean...you don't get more than one sun for yourself...that would be unfair) LOL But his Sun on the MC, my Sun at least still in 1st house - such prominent Suns, and on the Galactic centre. I think we deserve to have our own solar system! LOL Sagittarian-typical modesty here. . I didn't realize Mars was so far away! it is. It is in Libra still, I think we are just a few hours away from our new composite Mars-Return, with Mars on 23 Libra. Well I'm looking forward to that next event even if Jupiter will have passed your suns. To be fair, it will still be pretty closish, I mean it will be on 28 Sag, that is just 2 - 2,5 degrees off my Sun and just over one degree off his Sun, even though I like my partile orbs, it is just too close to ignore. lol and also right on his Moon-MC, well Tr Jupiter on his Moon and MC shoujld at least make him feel good and possibly successful. right in the spotlight. WEll it is where he is most of the time, but it is just such a showcase conjunction. lol I think I'd be bouncing around in my seat if I were you...this looks like a great transit! Nah, probably we have come as far as was possible in terms of our connection, so I do not expect anything more. However I do hope and think that it will be an enjoyable concert, hopefully. Maybe not super exciting but really nice. "^ Edit: that's on topic! Sun square Mars DW. No physical attraction when we first met, not for years actually. Sat next to him in history class and barely registered his existence. That's Libra Mars...." It was the same for my friend and her husband, too. They started out as friends, and at least she wasn`t attracted to him the slightest in the beginning. I think he was attracted to her much sooner than she was, but even for him it might not have been from the onset. They really hit it off, when they were training for a dance performance (he had joined her dancing group) of Alice Cooper`s "Poison". They were performing this one in november 2000, I even remember the date. LOL It was very..... expressive. and I think they considered themselves a couple from 1st december on. lol But it really just took off, the attraction, once they did things physically together (in this instance, dancing). Hmm, btw I was slightly wrong saying I have never experienced Sun-Mars. Actually P`s Draco progressed Mars is on 14°58 Aries, separating from a conjunction to my Draco Sun on 15°46 Aries (his pr Mars is retrograde, and very slow - it does however apply to my Draco Mercury on 14°53 Aries - well that is pretty close, at least looks like it. (the exact hit will be in july next year. his Draco pr Venus is on 15°26 Libra, applying to oppose my Draco Sun, and actually my progressed tropical Moon is on 15 Libra this month (until 13th december). As for Aries Mars, sorry but they just kinda scare me....not all...but the one I know intimidates me. Pls don't quote
