"Erato seems to indicate lyric as opposed to epic poetry, singing the praises of something or somebody, to talk about love, to be concerned with something or somebody."

I have been looking this up too recently. My Erato is in the third, closely trine my sun and square Jupiter. It also squares Venus by 2 degrees but for some reason astro.com doesn't show it. I do write poetry and am a big fan of poetry from the Victorian romantic era. My writing attempts to be weird and abstract, hinting towards spiritual topics. I am a big fan of lyricists who are clever with their words- intelligent but read like poetry. People like Paul Simon, Jon Fratelli, Jack White, Ermal Meta.
My mercury is closely trine my Neptune too.

lol just realized my pr Erato is conjunct P`s natal Moon and MC.
and this is even crazier, his pr Erato currently is at 6°55 SAgittarius conjunct his pr DSC on 7°03 Sag, opposing his pr Moon on 5°59 GEmini.
with my natal ASC on 7°04 Sag. lol
his solar arc Erato applies to a conjunction with my natal VEnus by 0°25 (exact in 5 months) my solar arc Erato is on 29 Cap, and will exit the sign in about 7 months.
my solar arc Uranus is conjunct my natal Erato with 0°28 s (so it was exact in about january - when the last workshop took place. lol)
Well noone is singing anyone`s praise, however curiously enough I have been asked (and also done it voluntarily) to write some bits about his podcast and those doing it. NOt really all that lyrical to be honest, but at least I was writing something.
NO clue if he is writing anything at the moment, but most probably, if he is, not about me. lol

I wonder what this would indicate in synastry then? Do you think inspiration to write about each other or something?

well let me quote myself quoting someone else. "I just read in a book by Leeman about the muse Erato in synastry. Qutoe: "In mythology, ERato was the muse of lyric and love poetry. The asteroid Erato represents emotional inspiration. If one person?`s Erato contacts another persons chart, the Erato-errson is likely to be inspiring to the other person in the area of life relating to the other person`s planet or asteroid. Erato may be thought of as the muse in its purest form - the inspiration of one person by another person, place or thing." and "It may be a little difficult to disntinguish the actions of Erato from those of Eros (passion) or Sappho (sexuality). Erato, however, represents the inspiration of love, not the consummation of it." and "Erato contacts in synastry suggest that one person is capable of being the Muse for the other. The Erato-person is the Muse to the planet/ asteroid-person. Cross Erato contacts indicate that each individual can play that role for the other. The Muse function in hte case of Erato shows the inspiration, the hope of love, not its conclusion or eventual course." I would add Sappho, too, though Sappho differs in a way that it is HER who receives the inspiration and expresses it, and of course Sappho differs also in that she strives for consummation of the longing. found something by Kim Falconer on Erato "Erato reminds me of Sappho though perhaps a little lighter, less intense. She is know as the "Lovely" is the muse of love poetry and mimicry, and is seen with a Lyre and a crown of fragrant roses." erosastrology.proboards.com/thread/165Also I would add the asteroid MUSA (600), as encompassing all muses, but maybe also as a symbol for music or the importance of music, as the word music is derived from Greek "musa". Other muses that I found are: Calliope (22): epic poetry Erato (62): love poetry Euterpe 27): music Melpomene (18): tragedy Polyhymnia (33): sacred hymns Terpsichore (81): dance Thalia (23): comedy Of these Sappho and Erato seem to be most emotionally involved." www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum28/HTML/002243.htmlI am not so sure however who would be muse and who would be writer.

Ahh okay, so yeah all the muses inspire something different in all of us and obviously in synastry too. I was reading Faiths link there and saw Marilyn Monroe was listed as she inspired a song by Elton John. Makes sense haha!!
Ooh I'll have a play and see if I hypothetically inspire anyone or they me hahaha
