Jupiter crossing the ASC

Hi, 
Im having jupiter crossing over my ascendant. My appetite has increased somewhat, ugh:( Iv also had my venus return(chart ruler venus in leo).

Anyone want to share their experiences with this transit? I know it can relate to gaining things, but im sure it is not only weight and appetite gain.

Sorry, I mostly just gained weight, lol. But that's not a bad thing for me. I traveled for the better part of a year across the country, bought a home halfway across the country, and when Jupiter transited into my second house I went back to work full-time and lost most of the weight I had gained, then sold the house and moved again.

Jupiter rules my 5th and 8th houses.

I went through this was at the beginning of 2009 when Jupiter went into Aquarius. Physically, there were some changes. I did start actively going to the gym a lot, so I put on more muscle and wasn't as thin as I was before. In fact, I was a real gym fiend that whole year.

But, mostly, I think this transit was influential in how it expanded my perspective and changed things for me. I was in my second year of college then and engaged in a major act of rebellion (Aquarius) around the time of the exact conjunction by changing my major to theatre, which is what I really wanted to do, even though I knew it wasn't a conventional or stable choice. That was a huge deal to me, in terms of breaking the rules and expectations my family had of me. I actually did it without even telling them, making the choice all on my own, and it was what set the course for the rest of my life, even up until now. The North Node was also in Aquarius and conjunct my Ascendant during that time.

I was more erratic than usual during that period. I was kind of "acting out" in ways that surprised me. I think that increased feeling of anarchy/unpredictability came from me being more assertive about what I wanted. Also, my friend group at the time settled into becoming a major fixture in my life. I met them all the semester before when I became roommates with two of them and I became good friends very quickly with them all. But, that period of time was really when they became my best friends, to the point of us hanging out all the time. And it solidified our friendship for several years to come.

So, I would just more so expect the interests, traits, and activities of your Ascendant sign to really amplify and take over during this transit. The 1st House is about new beginnings. So, this "expansion" can create new opportunities that last for a long time. You might also make a major decision that is the catalyst for an entire new journey for yourself, like I did.

It's approaching for me. About a month away, when it enters Scorpio. I've been having weight during the past year with it in the 12th, so I don't know what to make of that...

Hoping it's going to do good things. Saturn through my 1st did... necessary things that I'd probably admit we're good though the manner that it did them was abrupt to say the least.

I will have this, too. I was hoping I'd get my sense of humour back. It's there a little bit, but not the way it used to be.

M eating potato chips, cheesecake, broccoli cheddar soup, cheese sandwiches, etc. need to back up a bit on it all.

Thanks for your inputs all! Throughout the past year I have lost weight, but then recently it is starting to creep on and my appetite has been increasing especially for chocolate and bread and iv been a bit lazier lately, I had my venus return recently. But i noticed a small shift again. Jupiters about to hit my pluto as well so maybe that marks the change.

I have felt generally in a better mood lately. The day Jupiter went over my ASC(a couple days ago) I received my deposit back from an apartment I had rented out(it was about 1200 euro), I had given up about getting it back as I had moved countries. So it brightened up my week getting it back.

I have issues with my posture, and found that is causing alot of the pains that i have been having. Im using most of the money I got from my deposit to pay for chiropratic treatment. I have jupiter/uranus conjunct natally in my 2nd, what i find with this is that as soon as i get money it departs again, but saturn tranisting my second has been teaching me to be mre resourceful with what i have.

So I think the gains i have has so far in this transit - mood, weight, eventually height(when my posture is treated) and some money gain.
