Well I have the conjunction, but I can relate to that feeling that if I fulfill my everyday duties I deserve a medal. The more exotic stuff comes easy to me (spending HOURS looking at astrological charts), but if you try to make me clean up my kitchen, I usually find ways to avoid and IF I do, afterwards I feel like having done the most extraordinary thing.
BTW I found a video on my aspect, too.
have not watched it yet though.

I have a weak sextile between the two but I am a Pisces Mars so I watched both videos.. I learned a lot. This astrologer has a lovely way of articulating her thoughts and even just her enunciation is pleasing to the senses. I was surprised to hear that in the Mars opp. Nep video that these natives have a tendency to come off as sexually inappropriate. I've always thought that a Neptunian influenced Mars would be extremelyyyyy subtle to the point of preferring to communicate interest via psychic venues so long as it does not have to be blatantly so uttered A Pisces Mars does hate being exposed and so easily read. One of my boyfriends had a tight Mars conj Nep aspect in his natal and, again, I was surprised to hear that Jewel said these natives can carry a lot of anger in them. He is one of the sweetest, most gentle, loving people on the planet. Must also be his Pisces Moon at work. Lots of info I could relate to in both videos.. fascinating stuff.

I have Mars in Pisces, so like Athena, it's probably fitting for me, too. I think I have the square just out of range, as well. Close to having an aspect.
I'll have to watch the videos later.

I have the trine and Neptune is also in my 12th. More than the predictable descriptions of passivity, bad boundaries, and escapism, I think the most defining thing about this energy is the self-deception. Mars-Neptune people are excellent actors (metaphorically but also very possibly in a literal sense) because Mars is what you act on. It's like we have to engage in some form of a lie in order to achieve an objective or get/do what we want. In many cases, this can mean not admitting to yourself how sensitive you are or how much something is hurting you or affecting you. I can be very good at that and it's not until I pause and reflect that I realize "oh, that really hurt me" or something like that. But, in the moment, I was too busy playing the role of someone who didn't let things like that hurt them.
It can be a bit hard for me to be honest about stuff like that, at times, so I can only imagine how it feels in the case of the square or opposition or conjunction. I know a Pisces Rising who has his Mars square Neptune (making it one of his most important and powerful aspects, since it's his chart ruler) and he swears that he's not sensitive and seems to try very hard to not just convince others but himself. I just intuitively know that it's an act. It feels like it's very comfortable for him to stay in that state of mind, though. But, that only makes it worse for the person when the illusion shatters. I was actually startled by him recently because he cried over a break-up, which was the only time I'd ever witnessed him that upset in the several years of knowing him. It wasn't just tears, either, but a full-on panic attack and I had to actively calm him down. But, I also saw it as an effect of his Saturn Return (which was exact when that happened).
I think this may be why the astrologer says that Mars-Neptune can have a lot of anger because whatever feelings get in the way of the "character" can be bottled up and handled poorly and eventually come out in overwhelming ways. Also, I have noticed that the hard aspects can definitely make the men, in particular, very ambiguous and confusing on a sexual level, like they are either hiding certain desires or sending out signals that they don't understand or want to admit to.

I have been confused about Jewel. I remember she was a virgo rising because she said she has her mercury on the asc and mars on the asc ... I think.
But then in one video she commented that she is the astro twin of Tori Amos, who is Libra moon. Hm.... I've watched so many videos from her I don't even remember which one to go back to check. If anyone has a vid where she mentioned her aspects, please let me know. Her eyes are scorpionic tho.
