Love reading the posts here. Starting a forum is like opening up space for new energies and new knowledge to flow in. This feels like a positive and and sacred space .

I love it! Thanks for the stories, everyone. <3 lilsol, you're inspiring me to do some of that myself. anela, so sorry about the sad parts of your story. I know what you mean about the clothes; I couldn't believe my sister just gave away all my dad's clothes including his big wool cardigans that I would have kept and worn when I missed him. We inherited this house from my parents-in-law and there is a lot of my father-in-law's WWII stuff in the attic. My husband has been selling it off bit by bit. It bothers me. Even though we don't keep it like a museum up there, it's just stuck in boxes and I rarely see it, I hate hearing stuff like, "Just sold my dad's canteen," and "Just sold some aerial photos from an army reconnaissance mission." I just told him the other day, "I feel like we've had a piece of your father still in the house and when you sell this stuff, I feel like I'm losing him." I don't mean to sound depressing, but I do like talking about the people I love, even if they are no longer alive. <3 --- On topic... I love sage itself, more than most plants and even some animals. I was telling justjuni a few years ago that I seemed to have watched the soul of my sage patch fly up and away, after brambles took it over. It's the only time anything like that happened to me. Even before that, sage has seemed almost sentient to me. Maybe because I had conversations with it. I'd be cooking in the kitchen during a snowstorm and think, "I'd love to put fresh sage in here. Sage, are you alive?" and I'd trek out to the garden in the snow and fresh sage would be sticking out above the snow. "Thank you, Sage!!!" VioletsI used the lavender-baking soda carpet treatment yesterday...wonderful! That WILL become my habit.

Ava That is an interesting story. Last year I had tooth ache and I wondered what could help. The doctor was doing a good work, but I always go to the garden and watch the plants. Sage was one and I did drink the tea. I dried some for the winter and yesterday I wanted to burn the rest of it. I refrained from it, because it is always is foggy afterwards with a ugly taste.

I remember reading that story about your sage plant, Ava ! I've never tried to burn regular cooking sage for smudging, but I might be curious as to what sort of effects it would have. I often add pine needles to my sage plate, as pine is another one that's good for clearing out negativity. I'm so glad you like the carpet freshener idea! <3 You can do it with any oils you choose, or dried herbs...it's fun for me to use different mixtures, depending on what type of energy I want to feel in the house. I do like a combination of clary sage, lavender, and lemon.

Ah sage . I smudge and burn Sage quite often and Myrrh as well (and others). It's important to note that after we do the clean up and the purification, it's good to burn afterwards something which attracts positive loving energies to fill up the cleaned space. Having said that, Rosemary is excellent to attract all kind of goodness. Rosemary is actually an all around excellent herb to attract and bring positive energy (not only in smudging or as an incense, but in baths as well).

Thanks for the information, Sun! Do you use rosemary essential oil in the bath? I haven't learned which essential oils burn the skin and which don't...except I know not to use the citrus ones. Learned that the hard way. 😬

I like to use this after cleaning or cleansing our home. I seriously love this stuff. I wipe down windowsills with it, and mop the floors, etc when trying to remove crap energy from our space. But yeah, usually after I smudge/pray. ❤ www.luckymojo.com/chinesewash.html

Violets , Ava That Chinese water is very good. I have read good things about it, unfortunately I haven't tested myself as I am not in the US and the shipping is expensive. About the essential oils: I have never used essential oils in baths. I use the actual plant, its dried leaves. But when I do cleansing baths I use pure salt as base to get rid of everything and then I combine 3 herbs to add to it (it's usually used an uneven number of herbs 3, 5 and so on). I use a little organza bag and add to it the salt and a mixture of 3 herbs of my choice depending on the purpose of bath, if I want thorough cleanse, to add protection, to add more positivity, to relax, for love and so on. Quick examples: Salt + 1 - Hyssop, chamomile, rosemary - cleanse, calm down any anxiety and stress, relaxation, optimism, positivity, good luck 2 - Bay leaves + lavender + roses - focused on cleanse (bay leaves very good for cleansing too ) and a focus on the energy of love and for love matters. 3 - Rosemary + lavender + rose petals - healing bath, focused on love and all that is good These are just from the top of my head, but you get the idea . You make the combos as you need and you mix the herbs according to your purpose. the salt is always default. It's always pure salt + 3, 5, 7... herbs at your choice. You can put it all in a little sachet and put it in your hot bathtub and soak in there for a couple of minutes. Or you can also boil water put the sachet or the herbs on the water and then mix the infused hot water with the water in the bathtub. For those without a bath tub, throwing the water from your neck down in your shower will work too; do not throw it over your head, only from the neck downwards. Light up an incense and a candle and you are ready to go! There are so many herbs and their "magic powers". Of course we can also make teas and stuff! But I digress... I could keep going about this and do a whole post about it, but hey, I also have asteroid Hecate right smacked on my Sun haha! Can't shut up about this type of stuff.

I love this, Sun ! I have Circe on my Mars, and I can't shut up about it either, lol. My Hekate is conjunct Regulus, but I don't know what that means, exactly. I also use sea salt in my bath, if I'm taking one for cleansing purposes. But I hoard my herbs either for tea, infusing oils, or using in my carpet freshener, hehehe. Mostly for teas and oil infusing. Ava , I love this thread so much...! (We need a heart emoji.)

I know if you are on this board, you're spiritual or dabbling in the metaphysical world. The amazing thing happening is how science is becoming enmeshed with the spiritual world. I read an interesting article last year which made me appreciate sage burning all the more. My tribe is Sioux, so it has been part of my culture forever. Hope you enjoy the article. I'm a slow learner...but usually once I get it, I get it. I have Hekate conjunct Uranus, ruling and square to my Aqua Mercury. I've been scared of witches. However, currently in my progressed chart: 15.10 Scorpio Hekate 15.53 Scorpio NN Time to look at it differently.

SunThanks for the recipes! I have lots of dried mini rosebuds that a friend sent to me; I haven't known how to use them, but a bath satchet sounds perfect. Which kind of salt are you referring to? Epsom, sea salt, another salt?

Violets Oh awesome! It would be fun to talk with you then, we wouldn't shut up haha . One of the best gifts I have received was a mortar and pestle haha. Ava It's pure sea salt. I get mine from an esoteric shop. Love this thread too, great initiative Ava.
