I haven't read much about Psyche. I remember briefly looking it up, years ago, when people were talking about it, along with Eros (which I have at 25*Leo). My Psyche is around 16* Aries. Trine my MC, conjunct my Mercury by three degrees.

I like the myth, but then I like Greek Mythology in general. One of my favorite tarot decks when I was younger was The Mythic Tarot, and the suit of Cups centered around the Eros/Psyche myth. I don't have much to add about the asteroid, but I wouldn't mind reading more about it.

Really short version: I have that tarot deck somewhere.

Yesterday we had Jupiter-Psyche @ 19 Scorpio sextile Eros-Pluto @ 19 Cap. Today it's all still at 19-20° of those signs. Anyone feeling any thrills with this?

Psyche is opposite (by sign, not by orb) my n. Psyche t. Eros is square my n. Eros. TMI but YES, definitely. This explains a lot for me at the moment. (insert fire emoji here) Also in relation to the original post: you and I must be soulmates anela, your Psyche is exactly conjunct my Venus/Eros! Somewhat in relation to the original post: Psyche is SUCH a prominent asteroid that plays out time and time again in my synastry with others. Its sheer success rate (+ Eros) is what made me a believer in asteroids.

I relaxed for the first time since Christmas day. or maybe New Year's day. I stayed in bed until 3pm, which wasn't great re: losing the day, but I wasn't anxious.

As I had just mentioned to Faith this morning, how weirdly grounded yesterday had felt to me.

So, y'all had fun with this one? Good to see. My lunar return captures that energy and may grant me a month-long supply. Hopefully the sextile adds a bit of harmony and magic to my life overall. That would be great.

I just learned that Psyche is like our inner world, literally:
Psyche is metallic; it's the largest known body made of iron and nickle. Scientists think earth's center core is made of the same metals and that's why there's a space mission planned to Psyche.
For whatever it's worth...
K, let me theorize.
I have Psyche in Gemini so maybe thoughts/words are my iron-equivalent: "it opens up the connections between this world, and the others"...so maybe I should do mantras.
Nickel also works well for Gemini! "It is therefore useful when additional information or energy is required" Information.
I don't know how this would fly for other signs and don't assume it's meaningful enough to even pursue, I'm just playing.

That's cool.
My Psyche is on 24 aqua. Pallas on 9 aqua, black moon on 27 aqza, moon on 17 aqua. Well moon is on the mp of pallas/psyche, I kind of like that.

Very cool idea there, Ava ! @op: Yeah, I kinda relate to both my psyche placements, natal and draconic. Natally, it's at 2°45' Virgo: conjunct Vesta & Jupiter, trine Eros, sextile Merc-Mars. Draconic Psyche exactly on tropical Pluto. I also have tropical Psyche exactly square MC. Well, I'm always wishing I could apply that side of myself to my job/career.

^ Eros trine Psyche! Nice. Last night I was looking at 1221 Amor and 763 Cupido because of this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cupid_and_PsycheI have no patience for long, convoluted stories like that so I barely know what's going on with that soap opera. I will try and learn again some other time. Maybe if there's a movie about it starring Tom Hardy as Eros, then I will care a lot. My draco Psyche @ 17 Libra exactly conjunct tropical Karma. My husband's draconic Psyche @ 4 Aqua is conjunct my tropical Eros @ 2 Aqua (2°08 orb). Pls don't quote

Ava oh easy.... Psyche was a very beautiful princess. Her parents and even other people started bragging that her beauty surpassed even Aphrodite`s / Venus. Venus was a very jealous goddess and demanded a human sacrifice. Since noone wanted to do it, Psyche offered herself, because she had been the cause of that unrest (though she never bragged about her own beauty, it did not matter to her). Venus told her son, Cupid (that is the name that is originally given to him in the story, it is Psyche and Cupid) that he should sent the most despicable monster to take Psyche away. Well Cupid, curiously, was taking her away himself (she was blindfolded though), and in doing so pricked his finger at his own arrow and fell deeply in love with Psyche. (in some versions he did not prick his finger, but simply fell in love with Psyche when he saw her) However he was a mommy`s boy, and dreading his mother`s anger about this, so he hid Psyche in a palace of his, where he was visiting her every night. They had a great time (lol), but he demanded that she should never ask to see him. So Psyche never really got to see his face, as they met in the dark. She grew lonely, even though he provided all luxury except human society; she pleaded with him and he allowed that she could invite her sisters. The sisters came, saw the luxury she lived in with a husband who apparently adored her, grew jealous and tried to make her insecure, but implying that her husband must be very ugly, if she was only to meet him in the dark. Psyche got suspicious because of that and the next night lit a lamp when Cupid was asleep to see him, she was so struck by his beauty that she got carelss and a drop hot oil hit his skin. Cupid awoke and got really angry, and despite her pleading, he abandoned her then and there and ran to Mommy, where he hid away. lamenting how Psyche had not listened to him and how life was so unfair and was just pouting (that is my interpretation at least). (Okay I am not being fair, actually he was wounded, by the oil, but also wounded because of Psyche breaking her promise due to her lack of trust; though I think he was trying to keep her hidden and in the dark, so he was not free of guilt either). Psyche was despearate and wanting to get her husband back, she even pleaded with Venus who was still jealous and revengeful. Venus gave her certain impossible tasks, yet with the help of creatures of nature (like ants for example) and by her own modest nature Psyche managed all tasks except one. The last one was to get a box of lotion from the land of the dead and their queen Persephone/ Proserpina; well she actually got there, into Pluto`s realm (and Persephones) and Persephone even gave her that box, but also told her to NOT open it. Psyche however, was curious and also wanting to put some lotion on (it was said to make a woman irresistible to the man she loves), but out came not the lotion but "sleep", and Psyche fell into a dead-like sleep that noone could wake her up from (which had been Venus plan all along). Anyway meanwhile Cupid had finally gotten over himself and realizing he was missing her and that he wanted her by his side, no matter what, and he found Psyche and kissed her awake (yeah sleeping beauty anyone? ) And after that Jupiter/ Zeus married the two of them in front of all the gods and goddesses (could not get more official!) and they were living happily ever after, having a daughter called Voluptas (greek: Hedone), which means "Pleasure".

Thanks lumina. How funny, I have Venus opposing Psyche natally. Psyche by sign: astrology4dumdums.tumblr.com/post/140458537839/psyche-in-the-signsastrolovecosmos.com/post/164713457708/eros-and-psyche-psycheI guess that fits. I have a lot going on in Gemini. Actually I've thought perhaps the dominant planet of my chart is Mercury. - Mercury is exalted in Aqua according to those who think it's not exalted in Virgo - Mercury is my only planet conjunct an angle - My nodes are conjunct Mercury's helio nodes - My MC is ruled by way out-of-bounds Gemini Mars which is tightly conjunct draconic Mercury (domicile). My helio Mercury-Jupiter-Chiron conjunct tropical MC. - That whole thing with my sun-Mars-Jupiter all being within a quarter degree of each other - Mercury parallel Venus and Neptune, contraparallel Saturn, all within 1° - I talk a lot

After that Jupiter/ Zeus married the two of them in front of all the gods and goddesses (could not get more official!) and they were living happily ever after, having a daughter called Voluptas (greek: Hedone), which means "Pleasure". How neat, their daughter's name shares roots with/is phonetically similar to "voluptuous" and "hedonistic".
