Has anyone else had success with something like this? I've tried twice before, with professional hypnotists, but didn't get very far. I saw a little something with the second, and mum did, too (she was allowed to sit in, because I was nervous - I'd woken up anxious, and almost didn't go).

Only with energy healers, or while doing my own energy work, often with my husband.

May I ask: Is past life regression about people who you met in a different life? or Is it the actual work on your own to find out about your past life?

AvaOne person told me that she is fat in this life, because I was an Assasin in one of my past life(s). I apologized for things I might have done, although I could not connect to this specific former life. Anyway, she lost some weight.

May I ask: Is past life regression about people who you met in a different life? or Is it the actual work on your own to find out about your past life? Both, I think.... Some past lives are easier to confirm than others of course.... The story of James Huston, James Leninger is the best proof of reincarnation that I know of, especially if one looks at their birth charts, it's just amazing. These two had the same mean nodal axis: NN @ 8 Virgo. They have opposing stelliums consisting of the same planets: Huston: Sun 28 Libra Saturn 23 Libra Mercury 12 Libra Mars 2 Libra Leininger: Sun 20 Aries Saturn 23 Aries Mercury 13 Aries Mars 28 Aries AND Huston had an Aries moon while Leininger has a Libra moon. Copied from "the other site."

Past-life regression can be for either of the things you mentioned. I was obsessed with them for a while, starting in 2009. Before that, I'd tried regressions via CD's, in 2003/2004, after wondering why my BIL was such an ass to me/around me. I'd watched something about past lives, so I started to wonder about that. The practical reason is just that he's an ass, or he was.

Thanks for your responses. I'm not quoting, as requested. I went for one regression in 2010, because I really wanted to experience what I'd been reading about, and thought I might have more luck going to a professional. Instead, I wasn't as relaxed as I would be at home, and felt like I was grabbing at things to make her happy, because she was so nice. I have a tape somewhere, and my mum listened to it and agreed. I did get the idea from it, that my fear of the dark came from the dark being "death" somewhere. I don't know why. It didn't cure my fear of the dark, though. I can be outside in the dark, no problem, but in the house, I need some sort of light, even if it's just from the TV. In 2011, I went to see a local woman. I didn't get much there, either, except that mum and I saw similar things, we seemed to switch places as we moved on from one part of the reading to another. So that was interesting. I was hoping to really experience something that would make me feel better about death (not mine), aging (mine, as well as others), and so on. One of the few times I got something, was when I listened to Sylvia Browne's CD in 2003. I had "Babylonia" come to me, when asked where I was. I also had a few things come to me in 2005, when I listened to other CD's, but can't remember who recorded them, or what I saw. I wrote it down, but the pages disappeared.

I was also hoping to find out why this one relationship came along, and tripped me up so badly. That was the start of the past eight/nine years. Dehumanizing. And why my confidence was trashed not only when I was a child, but once again thanks to that guy, and my own family (five years ago).

AvaThank you! In this case I do not have any of this past life connections so far. A very interesting link. SourceSource^^^I do have difficulties to define myself as I do not think that I have control of my past present of future. On the other hand, how do I know that I accomplished everything in the past life? Is there an astrological point of view to differ those two types?

I was a mother and my children were secretly married to the other persons children. She dreamt about it and this story rings true.

anela <<<<hugs>>>>> I always say to myself: The past brought me to the present. It is now time to move on..... Thanks. It's just that too much has happened, and that drama broke my relationship with my mother, and my sister. My sister and I are talking again, but my mother had been drinking too much here and there, drank that way every day, until we almost lost her three years ago. We then had to build her up (as I was being eaten up by anxiety attacks and loneliness, as well as anger at everything), and then she wouldn't go to the doctor when it was obvious that something else was going on. She died of an aneurysm, after surviving two surgeries (hip and heart). My life was torn apart over the last eight years. I had been in a good place, and the whole thing was trashed. That's why I'm still needing... something.

I have so much I could say on this topic, but as the past lives I've seen or been informed of we're part of a healing process, there is a lot of sadness attached to those stories that I prefer not to think about... My shaman cleared all that she saw, and severed connections where it was necessary.
I personally do these sessions with her over the phone, in the comfort of my own bed, and the results have been such a relief. I need to have another session soon, so hopefully there will be some extra money for that at some point in the future.

Yesterday I got Tyler Henry's book from the library, Between Two Worlds. He's a celebrity medium in case anyone doesn't know him.
I took the book with me to bed, thinking I would read a few pages, but I couldn't put the book down and almost finished it in one reading.
Anyway he talks about a "contemptuous" banker who contacted him for a reading. Tyler was baffled because the client was so obviously unwilling to be there. But as he began the reading, he saw a child being ripped away from his mother during tragic circumstances in the 1930s. It didn't make sense because the banker couldn't have even been alive that long ago; the banker couldn't have been the child.
The banker revealed that both he and his wife had received impressions that they were mother and son in a recent past life in the 1930s, facing the same tragedy Tyler described, and the couple's difficulties coping with all these impressions/flashbacks compelled his wife to urge him to get a reading.
Interesting.

I have had reports from mediums about my past lives and the accounts concurred. anela, you could page Chryseis on LL - she does channelled readings and is good with past lives in my view. She did one for me and her account was extremely detailed. I think it would be safer to have a reading which may explain your current phobias or fears rather than go for a regression. Alternatively, go to a healer who could clear and relase past traumas. One thing that may happen with regression is that you link into a group soul memory or anyone else's past lives and beileve that they are your own. This has been reported. People in a hypnotic state are very vulnerable and prone to suggestion - there are risks of getting contaminated or stuck in a negative place. So, regressing instead of developing and releasing.

I think that's really valid advice, @astrokeen. Very good points.
