In Vedic I am Cancer rising, so I also have my chart ruler in the 8th.

Um. How do I find my Vedic chart? 😬 I googled for a free one. I posted a link to mine in another thread, so maybe you could follow that one, and try it? Maybe someone has a better link, though. I was trying to find the one that told me my life would be crap after a certain age. I have an online friend who talks about vedic occasionally. She refers to being in her Sade Sati period, which is dreadful.

Violets When you're on the astro.com "extended chart selection page", if you scroll down to the lightly shaded peach area, you can click on "sidereal" instead of "tropical" and bam - vedic chart! The only issue is that it uses the western wheel :\ Every planet in the same sign is considered conjunct no matter the degrees. All of the other vedic sites I've used are rather confusing when I make a chart there. Hopefully someone posts a helpful link

Thanks, athena! I had found it through searching, but... Everything is in the same house that it is in my natal chart...? I'll have to assume that's standard, but I'm having a difficult time "getting" it. It gives me a Cancer Asc.

Np! The wheel is definitely confusing because Kapiel Raj said I have Saturn in my 5th house - but natally it's in my 4th, and it is mostly definitely *still* in my 4th with the western astro wheel.. so idek what's going on there I've heard that in vedic, Cancer ASC are extraordinarily lucky in love if they marry after their Saturn Return! Apparently that's really rare according to him.. I think missblyss mentioned this to me a while ago back on LL (she's also a vedic Cancer ASC)

I would say that's actually very accurate for me (although Jupiter in 8th natally has a similar connotation). I did marry after my SR, and my husband and I... It's a very infuriating yet magical experience we share with each other, lol. My Isis conjunct his Osiris, his NN conjunct my Dsc, other things like that that play out in life.

"infuriating yet magical" is so succinct 😂 yet it's honestly the dream combination for a solid relationship imo
NN conjunct DSC is gorgeous. When the NN hits an angle in synastry, that's the sort of glue that people can only fantasize of in a partnership. When I've seen it play out irl, it has the kind of effect many astrologers attribute to Saturn. Definitely sounds like the universe conspired to reward you after your SR ♥

Hopefully someone posts a helpful link I believe that selecting "whole signs" for the house system solves the problem. Someone at the other site said to choose Hindu/Lahiri instead of Fagan/Bradley. There's a 0.53° difference. I don't even know what purpose degrees serve in Vedic astrology. (?)

For a Vedic chart: www.prokerala.com/astrology/birth-chart/You can choose South Indian (all squares), North Indian (triangles...like KRS uses), or East Indian (I'm not familiar with this at all.) And there's a little reading there. The concept of Yogas is pretty fascinating to me...though at least two of mine are completely contradictory. Maybe different yogas apply at different times.

Mine says: "KemaDruma Yoga
Kema Druma Yoga is formed when there is no planet (except Sun, Rahu and Ketu) on either side of Moon. Moon does not get any support from other planets. The Moon becomes alone and weak. The native will also lead a lonely, unsatisfied and difficult life. In this chart there is no planet on either side of Moon."I don't know how that's the case. In Vedic, I have an Aqua moon, Cap Mercury, Pisces Jupiter. Edit: it even says that I also have: "Durudhara Yoga
Durudhara Yoga is formed when there are planets (except Sun, Rahu and Ketu) on either side of Moon i.e. planets are placed in second house and twelfth house from the Moon. In this chart planets Mercury & Jupiter . are on either side of Moon"So I had to research that and I think my Kema Druma is formed another way: "Kemdrum Yoga is formed if the second and twelfth house from the Moon are vacant. It is also formed when the Moon is not aspected by an auspicious planet or is not in association with an auspicious planet." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kemadruma_yogaI think that's my problem. Even though my moon is sextile my sun...either the sun is not auspicious, or the sextile doesn't count in Vedic? Aye, it's confusing. Also, apparently the Vedic way to count houses means that the very next sign/house is the "second house from (whatever)"...I would call it "the first house from" if it were my own system. -- Okay I'm trying to learn...

Thank you for those tweaks Ava , it seems each planet is now in the house is needs to be in according to KRS! Damn looking at my chart I feel like it's so dry. Still a Virgo ASC, still a Taurus Sun, but now I have a Cappie Moon. I feel like my irreverent edge is gone without my air Moon I know that the concept of one's "nakshatra" is very important in Vedic. It's almost like something of a chart ruler (in a sense). The degree and sign in which one's Vedic moon is in is of critical importance in the native's life. There are several different nakshatras one can have - you can find yours by plugging in your birth chart info here - once you figure what yours is, it's best to just google it as that website doesn't have meaty interpretations. Some of the "predictions" can be a bit creepy though and delves into those aspects of Vedic we're uncomfortable with. So something to keep in mind.

I saw this video sometime ago. I can't remember it all but I can say that sometimes meditation can help me out with my emotional extremes, though often I am just too emotionally caught up to deal with it like this.
Best way to describe it is periods of emotional serenity followed by periods of intense emotional cycles. I could be having a great time and bam, depressed to the point of feeling like everything is crap. Often it happens without warning, it just comes on its own and I feel depressive and sad and upset without any real reason why.
Though getting the emotion out of me, even if it means crying to myself in my own bed where no one else is around, helps me deal with it. It's a emotional release; let them show themselves and they'll feel more content. You have to please your emotions in order to please yourself.

In KRS' Intuition 101 video, moon in the 8th is credited with intuition, though the ultimate for psychic power would be Ketu (south node) conjunct the moon and Jupiter in any of the water houses....especially if they are in a water sign. And he listed certain Nakshatras that are especially intuitive; I believe most of them fall in Pisces. Anyway I have an intuitive moon in the 8th. My Nakshatra is geared towards death ☠️ so that we are encouraged to pursue careers as funeral directors, homocide detectives, weapons manufacturers, assassins....you get the idea. I find this really humorous for some reason. We might also be hired for putting curses on people. Or, if you need to curse someone, wait until the moon is in my Nakshatra, Purva Badhrapad. You are welcome for that advice. 🌈 I really find this hilarious although I can totally see the reasoning behind it. I have all the patience in the world until I don't. Then there is this vortex of darkness. It's said that people in my Nakshatra are motherless, and I suppose it's the lack of motherly care, and all that happened as a consequence of it, that helped create this back-against-the-wall wolverine teeth-baring energy that is latent within me, which I never even considered a matter worthy of discussion, it so rarely appears (or so I think)...until time after time people brought it to my attention, asking in bewilderment: "What happened to you to make you this way?" "What way?" "You don't even know......" Not to be overly dramatic, but the descriptions for my Nakshatra are dramatic, so I am trying to match my biography to their astrology. edit Sorry if it seems like I'm feeling sorry for myself, I'm not...I'm just flipping through the darker chapters of my personal storybook. We all have these chapters, I know. ❤️ And I might delete this later.

Ah, thank you Violets. ❤️ I was taking a rather negative view, ignoring some of the positives. There is a balance there, I just felt like showing a few snapshots of the hard times. I mean, they exist, too.

You don't need to apologize for feeling sorry for yourself. It's okay. I know this is coming from someone who sounds like Eeyore most of the time, but I don't care.
