I've been watching the new Twin Peaks series, and pondering on the synastry between amazing directors/actors as a team-- David Lynch and Kyle MacGlachlin, and Tim Burton/Johnny Depp.
I'll post charts in a bit. Kyle MacLachlin is interesting to me, as our Suns and Asc are conjunct, and he grew up in the same town I did. We both have 8th house Suns opposite our Moons. I also lived in the town where Twin Peaks was filmed. đ€
At any rate, Lynch and Kyle MacGlachlin (particularly Lynch, but paired with MacLachlin it seems magnified to some extent) seem to reach into people with their films in a very deep, strange and otherworldly fashion.
I know David Lynch is an Aquarius Sun with Scorpio Asc. Tim Burton is a Leo Sun, Johnny Depp a Gemini (and Helena Bonham Carter a Gemini as well, although they're now divorced) but I'm not sure of the rest of their charts.
Will be back to speculate on that, just wanted to start the topic.

A thread right for me! Well you know my "delicate" relationship with Lynch/MacLachlan, as I feel this weird Connection to both of them. In fact I think I might have dreamed of Lynch last night (not that I often do that. lol I cannot even remember much of the dream, but there was some sort of Circus (?) and Clown and those strange bikes and masquerade and a hut or something like that involved. no clue, it was weird - and believe me before coming on here I have not spent a single thought of either of them for a Long time. And it is weird anyway, usually I dream of MacLachlan. lol) But I am curious how is the new Twin Peaks? I feel it in my bones, I will not be able to resist the temptation of watching it in the end, though I know I probably should stay away. lol But after you are done with those two synastries, I am curious about the one between Guy Ritchie and Robert Downey Jr/ Jude Law as well.

lol I was just printing out the Lynch/MacLachlan synastry and Composite, have not really looked at it but just spotted in a very fleeting look that their Composite Sun falls right onto my natal Moon. I suppose that makes sense. Esp with my Moon ruling my 8th house and being in Aquarius, thus combining that weird surreal bizarre/quirky vibe Aquarius/Uranus can have with the dark underbelly of a Cancer-8th house. lol

After a first look Lynch/MacLachlan have a VERY significant synastry/Composite, with a lot of tight/partile aspects, and in the Composite a lot of Exchange between 5th and 2nd house, including 10th house. Which makes just so much sense. 5th house contains a stellium in Aquarius btw.
and the Composite Triggers very relevant synastric aspects, I am thinking mainly for now of Composite Moon on 2 Virgo I believe conjunct both their Moons (5 Virgo and 28 Virgo) and I think falling onto Lynch`s MC, with MacLachlan`s Moon-Pluto opposite Sun falling right across this. Of course Lynch also activates the whole cross in MacLachlanÂŽs Chart, but he certainly brings out the Moon-Pluto in him! in that slightly neurotic Virgo way, mixed with some Leo (and of course Pisces).
not sure I would een Need to look any further than that.
Also a few months ago tr NN was passing over their Composite Moon, and highlighting this particular polarity.
There is of course much much more than that.

have a look yourself
That exact Pluto-NN-conjunction in the house of the audience certainly makes tons of sense as well.

The new Twin Peaks is very good, imo. Very much David Lynch doing what he does, I think.
I'll respond in a bit after some coffee, but I'm still in love with how Lynch's Moon is conjunct mine, and his IC/MC axis conjunct my Sun/Moon, and Kyle MacLachlin's Sun. I also lived in Montana for a bit, and it was Missoula I wanted to move to. We ended up a couple of hours away instead.
And I'm surprised by his Cap Sun, but... Capricorns can run very deep, I'm thinking of David Bowie and Khalil Gibran...
I just woke up, so I'm rather hazy this early in the morning, lol. Thank you for posting their charts! đ

I noticed a curious Detail, just a random Observation really, but in both Composites: Lynch/Machlachlan as well as Downey Jr/Law the ruler of ASC (Mercury and Venus)are on 13 Aquarius respectively.
(well in my Composite with Mr Law the chartruler, Jupiter, is on 14 Aqua, so missing the boat just a tiny bit. lol)
Anyway Sabian of 13 Aquarius is a rather interesting one: A Train Entering A Tunnel
It sounds quite powerful to me, though potentially "ominous"
(well Sabian of 14 Aqua is very different: Two Lovebirds Sitting On A Fence And Singing Happily. lol)
Also out of curiosity I had a quick glance at my own Composite with mr Lynch, since it was his creation, that undoubtedly had such a tremendous, albeit not entirely positive, Impact on me. Well first I looked at the Composite and thought: Where have all the planets gone??
(because I looked above the horizon).
And then when looking below the horizon into the 2nd house: Ah there they are!
I really have not seen anything like that in my Composites before
a line up in Capricorn of
Jupiter 3°55 Mercury 5°31 Juno 7°39
Vesta 11°36 Sun 12°50
true Lilith 14°44 Pallas 14°54 Venus 16°28 (!)
Chiron 20°34
with such an Extended stellium I was curious where the midpoint of the brackets: Jupiter and Chiron would be found, and actually the midpoint of this whole stelliums is on 12°15 Capricorn, right on the degree of the Sun! That really Shocks me! lol
The Sabian is
12-13 deg Capricorn A Fire Worshipper Meditates On The Ultimate Realities Of Existence (Fire walk with me, anyone? )
In case you wonder about the missing personal planets:
Moon on 26°08 Scorpio in 12th house conjunct ASC on 27°38 Scorpio
sextile
Mars on 27°58 Virgo in 10th house
with NN on 19°54 Virgo conjunct MC on 19°06 Virgo
the chartruler is Pluto on 9 Virgo in 9th house, and trine Stun with 3 degrees, it`s quite an introverted Composite compared to my natal Chart btw (with all the planets being in earth signs and Moon-ASC in a water sign, and Scorpio at that, falling into my natal 12th house. It always amazes me how much sense it seems to make comparing the Composite back to the Natals.
Sorry I got distracted, cause my 1st house Sun-Mercury on the GC is just so fascinated with myself. lol

I love their Uranus in 10th, trine Jupiter in 2nd. And the 5th house stellium in Aquarius. It does make perfect sense.

Violets, not quite sure why but I was suddenly thinking today about harmonics that might be strong in David Lynch and Kyle MacLachlan, depicting their collaboration for Twin Peaks, and for some reason I was thinking of the 13th harmonic. I was following that hunch and found these keywords for 13th harmonic: "â birth, segregation, originality, âfreakââ and categorises it under the âPrimary Prime-Harmonics of the Inner Sphereâ. Lower octave of the 29H, the Keywords of which are (according to the same author): âdeath, dream, subconscious, âserpentâ, humourâ.
In the Axial Harmonic Theory, the thirteenth level connects to the notion of âbehind the scenesâ and âbelow the surfaceâ and therefore to the occult, to the hidden, to death; to the 8th house and to the Scorpio archetype.
13 is the number of 12+1, it is that step further than harmony and perfection, it is the One enclosing and surpassing the All - and for this often misunderstood; because the circle is completed by its division into 12; the 13th is simply that which dissolves the circle closed; it represents the adventurer whom the others do not dare follow, it stands for the crucial question posed after everyone thinks the issue is resolved and can remain archived in the drawer. It is the crucial question to which there is no answer â and if there is one indeed, no-one proves at the end able to pronounce it. It is the answer to a problem which by itself constitutes the posing of a new problem; it is, therefore, the closing of a cycle and a new beginning."www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-27945.htmlThe keywords to me seemed to be matching the concept of Twin Peaks nearly perfectly. But I STILL was stunned seeing David Lynch`s 13th harmonic chart. It`s just WOW! [/URL] Well Mars-Saturn is conjunct in the natal chart, so it is not a 13th harmonic aspect, but Sun-Neptune clearly is 13th harmonic. But what a perfect chart to go into these darker mystical realms, but doing so with quirkiness! You can just see the mystical aspect, the quirky ones, the creative and unique mind at work, but also the relation to hard hard hard work. in that kite of Mars-Saturn 29 Pisces Uranus 29 Scorpio Mercury 27 Cancer (Mercury-Uranus, why am I Not surprised?) and the arrow pointing at Sun 26 Cap (which is oh so fittingly conjunct Neptune on 21 Cap, though Neptune is out of orb for making aspects to the other planets except MErcury - the orb for the opposition is okay) And as if that was not clear enough, a Venus-Pluto-conjunction, I mean if a show has a Venus-Pluto-vibe, it is that one! (there are of course several ways to express that, but here it really reminds me of death and destruction of girls, amorality, taboos and breaking of taboos, pretty much everything sexual one could imagine, Venus-Pluto is even symbolizing prostitution on its lower end of the scale, and of course we can also see some of the powerplays and financial schemes here as well). And additionally NN on the ASC - as if this is really where his purpose in life is, exploring everything having to do with 13th harmonic, not just Twin Peaks of course, but just have a look at his other creations! and of course Pluto is on the DESC, Venus too though with a bit more of an orb. Honestly this chart gives me goosebumps, almost like it is acting as a channel or medium and Lynch being the person to express/ verbalize some of those thoughts, ideas, archetypical images that come through. And now I am starting to wonder if the 13th harmonic might be something like a gate? And who knows what we might let through. lol

Not strictly an actor-director pair. They only ever worked together on two projects - but, oh what iconic projects they were!
Luis Buñuel & Salvador Dali:
- Buñuel's Aries Venus in Dali's 10th House, conjunct his Jupiter. - Dali's Sun/Merc/Mars stellium square Buñuel's Mars/MC (Maybe that's why they only made two movies together? Too much friction?). - Buñuel's Sag Moon trine Dali's Aries moon. - Buñuel's Aqua mars conjunct Dali's Aqua Saturn. Dali's Uranus conjunct Buñuel's Saturn. Dali's Saturn trine Buñuel's Neptune/Asc in Gemini. (They could 'harness' each other's crazy?) - Dali's Venus sextile Buñuel's Sun, trine his Saturn. - Buñuel's Moon/Jupiter/Uranus/NN in Sag in Dali's 5th house. Woohoo. - Mutual Neptune-MC contacts. (Dali's Cancer Neptune trine Buñuel's Sun/MC, Buñuel's Neptune/Asc square Dali's MC).
