Starting early because This happened yesterday in Ireland and mercury retro came into my head when I heard about it(although I know it's still the shadow period at the mo) www.rte.ie/news/business/2023/0816/1399974-bank-of-ireland/Basically there was some sort of IT glitch at the bank of Ireland which enabled people to withdraw from ATMs/transfer more money than was in their accounts. People were then queuing up to use ATM machines and the guards(Irish Police) were called to the ATMs. |

IS merc already retro? It's such a Chaos week already It's stationary today at 21 Virgo, turns Rx tomorrow at 4 pm here (EST). (And in case you are too busy to look at transits lately, the current Mars-Neptune opposition is t-squaring your sun-Mercury.) |

I think it's starting today but shadow period has been alot of IT issues for me(my 11th house). But I always seem to get IT issues anyway during mercury rx. The last mercury retro was not so bad for me though - generally it was ok. It's actually my mercury return time in the coming week  Iv been a bit sensitive lately and intense dreams again but I also have Neptune squaring natal moon and Neptune. Sometimes I wonder also though if knowing about mercury rx makes me more anxious about this period. |

Sometimes I wonder also though if knowing about mercury rx makes me more anxious about this period. I too wonder about confirmation bias and how much it affects our view of Mercury retrograde. Retrograde motion itself is an illusion. The planet/s only *appear* to move backwards relative to our frame of reference. Having said that, there are things that consistently stand out when mercury is retrograde. At least enough for me to believe there is an effect. It may be exaggerated by our anticipation of things going wrong, but it's there. |
