I was trying to think of asteroids that could denote women becoming empowered. By this I am referring to instances when women make a decision in their best interests, such as to gain independence from a relationship that isn't working for them, or a decision to end any circumstances which they would be better off without. It could be an instance when the Saturn influence has done its work and they gain clarity of vision. So we're talking about freedom, release, confidence, self-actualisation, insight, power. Can you think of any asteroids that could be relevant?
I was thinking of some of the Goddess astroids such as Kaali, Sekhmet, Tara, or Spirit and Wisdom.
Any suggestions?
Edit: I think Kaali is relevant. I made an event chart for myself and Kaali was exactly on the Asc.

Ava , in the past I've mentioned that I know a channeller who channels Archangel Michael. This lady is an academic with a PhD in Psychology and works for the government. Her clairvoyant abilities are kept separate. I met her years ago at a local spiritual healing workshop. She belonged to the spiritualist church, something she distanced from later, and one fine day began to only channel this one entity that described itself as Archangel Michael. During a face to face channelled session with me I asked "Michael" (the lady was in a trance state) why he had chosen this lady as a channel and got a very interesting response - "because she does not believe". He went on to say that because she questioned everything, she was a very pure channel and did not colour what was coming through with her own mind. I thought that was a great response. Her speech when she spoke for Michael was quite extraordinary. She spoke at length without hesitation or pause for thought - a skill that would be impossible for any human to master. Anyway, I got a lovely message from her today because I had been wondering whether my research would be of much use. The message ended with these words - "it is important to go ahead with your research in order to generate change and improvement in such a key and important area. You have much to offer, and with persistence and continuity your work can potentially improve the experience of many women, their dependents and communities for many years to come." It was indeed motivating and inspiring. Edit: I made an event chart for when I received the reading: T Sun/Kaali at 11 Leo were close to my n Asc - this looks pretty potent T Pallas was at 11.11 Virgo - considered to be a spiritual no - conjunct my Angel.

vg , thanks for the BML suggestion! Of course, that's a perfect point to consider in this context. BML has an interesting placement in my natal in Sag. BML 25.25 Galactic centre - 26.14 - an evolutionary point Pallas 26.35 Sun/Moon md pt - 26.57 Will keep track of it in the future.

12YearsABlob, an interesting suggestion. The notion of empowerment is a positive thing though and I am wondering whether a show of strength if it involves sorcery and cunning should feature. This does remind me check which mythological women could be regard as feminists. Methinks Juno wouldn't the bill, for example, too deeply into home, hearth and fertility.

Haha, yeah Circe liked to have her fun. She does not consider herself beneath any man, unlike Juno, Hera, and all the other long-suffering wives of mythology. In my head cannon, they (the myth writers) added a dimension of 'wickedness' to any woman who dared to be independent. Or smart. Or anything but a clinging vine. (With some exceptions, like Athena*). Circe may not have used her power in a very charitable way, but she was *empowered*, IMO. *My knowledge of mythology isn't great, so I dunno if she has any skeletons in her closet.

Thinking of queens, goddesses, etc
Kind of predictable, set-of-ten "grab bag"
216 Kleopatra 3199 Nefertiti 76 Freia 3497 Innanen 10199 Chariklo 1388 Aphrodite 672 Astarte 42 Isis 306367 Nut 269 Justitia
216, 3199, 76, 3497, 10199, 1388, 672, 42, 306367, 269
Edit: Nice, it's my Aphrodite Return today. Aphrodite-Freia is transiting @ 15 Sag.

Thanks. Will try and eliminate those who were long-suffering, poorly treated by men. I love how we happen to mention asteroids at key transiting aspects for you. Must check these for me.. Edit: Ava , your the list is very helpful. I didn't mean to imply that it needed checking - poorly worded sentence on my part. I was referring to finding others as well.

@astrokeen
I think if a woman is powerful it doesn't matter how men treat her (?) -- that's just some BS she has to deal with while she's doing more important things. But power OVER men can be a serious power, because it removes male dominion from the equation and enables more to happen.
I'm sorry I don't know more about history and mythology to properly "vet" all the women I put on that list.
If anyone objects to one of those candidates I can remove her.
---
My solar return for this year features NN @ 11 Taurus conjunct Kaali. SR NN conjunct my natal Demeter, Isis, Hera, Atlantis...it's one of the more heavily populated areas in my chart, when it comes to asteroids.
My natal NN is widely conjunct Kaali as well (20 Scorpio NN, 22 Scorpio Kaali). The year's not over but I have some ideas for what it could pertain to.
Next year's SR features the sun exactly conjunct Freia, which I like.

I am not saying anyone should be defined by how they are treated. Just talking about the mindset. Yes, good point. In fact, feminists define it as moving from a state of disempowerment to being empowered. If you didn't start out disempowered, then you wouldn't become empowered. I personally think that everyone is capable of being more empowered.
