Great article: www.astro.com/astrology/faa_article230327_e.htmI have this natally, with a wide orb, and they are closing in on each other by progression (pr Jupiter 23 Aries, pr Chiron 24 Aries). These are conjunct in the 9th house on my natal MC, if my chart is rectified correctly. I've been hungry for positive interpretations of what seemed like a disastrous combination, where Chiron is just pain and Jupiter is magnification. And who wants that? This article paints a much more intriguing picture:

An interesting read, Ava. I understand your apprehension about Chiron, but I would consider the potential "magnification of pain" you mentioned to be the worst case scenario. Chiron is strongly linked to our deepest wounds, yes, but he's also the key to transcending the pain that comes with them. It's an alchemical process that hopefully results in gaining wisdom (albeit flawed), adequately reflected by its position in the sky as a bridge between the inner and outer planets. Jupiter's role might simply lie in its ability to enhance the potential for achieving growth. Actually, I think this progressed aspect would inherently represent an opportunity to address and heal any issues surrounding your core beliefs, principles and the search for meaning in life through religious systems, especially considering that the 9th house is involved. This could also resonate with you as an ongoing theme in your life, since the conjunction is present natally as well.

Much appreciated and well said @aetheria

Definitely, it's an ongoing theme and something that still needs to be done more deliberately.
I forgot to say that pr Jupiter-Chiron squares pr Saturn (currently @ 27 Cancer Rx). Nothing's ever easy, but I already know that. My dear friend from childhood has this alignment, she's a nurse. For a long time I've admired her ability to deal with the most depressing situations and still come across as sunny and unburdened. Good example to follow.

Saturn squares her Jupiter-Chiron natally, but I don't see a reliable source for her birth time online, so we don't know what it rules... transit Saturn is moving closer to her natal Venus, though. It's worth remembering that Chiron still hasn't completed a full cycle around the zodiac since its discovery, but I imagine our understanding of its expression will be more solid when it does. Do you have any other major transits or progressions coming up, Ava? Progressed Jupiter moves rather slowly, so it might seem like an exact Ptolemaic aspect should be important in a tangible way, but I wouldn't be too surprised if it makes itself apparent in a very subtle manner. I've experienced many progressed aspects that manifested on a purely psychological level.

I have the opposition natally with Jupiter in the 2nd in sag and Chiron in retro in the 8th in Gemini. Some might consider it wide (3/4ish Deg). Uranus in sag is also in the mix as it makes a rather tight conjunction to Jupiter and opposes chiron.
Im still trying to figure out my Chiron but I do think it relates to pain and wound that don't heal fully but that we learn to live with and perhaps share/use that to help others.
Without going into too much detail losing a close relative when I was a young child affected me v deeply. As I've gotten older and my spiritual beliefs have changed I've learned to live with the effects it had on me.
I do feel that its related to the reproductive system or births as well in my case - when it came to the birth of my eldest, the transit of the moon to these planets was interesting.

@aetheria "It's worth remembering that Chiron still hasn't completed a full cycle around the zodiac since its discovery, but I imagine our understanding of its expression will be more solid when it does." That's a great point. Chiron was discovered @ 3° Taurus in 1977 -- quite a discovery chart there, with Venus-Pluto-NN-MC. www.astro.com/astro-databank/Celestial:_Chiron_Discovery"Do you have any other major transits or progressions coming up, Ava? In mid 2035: 25 Aries Jupiter-Chiron, conjunct tr Neptune 24 Aries 25 Gem, pr Mars (on 23 Gem pr MC) 25 Aqua, pr Mercury Pr sun will be applying to natal moon then, seems momentous for several reasons. My pr Mercury was in Capricorn for most of my life and stationed @ 23° for several years, exactly squaring natal Chiron @ 23 Aries, pr Chiron @ 23/24 Aries. It also squared pr Jupiter but more widely. I lost my father and both parents-in-law while pr Mercury was @ 23°; it was square pr Chiron exact to the minute the day my mother-in-law died. That was all in the span of less than six years and included my Saturn Return and birth of my second and third children. Stressful. However, my father and parents-in-law had all lived relatively long lives and had people/facilities taking care of them so this was more of a psychological burden, not hands-on hardship or trauma. I know other people caring for aging parents have a lot more suffering involved. But being parentless from early adulthood did shape me in ways I've struggled to communicate, as if part of my mind is still frozen there at 23 Cap, square Chiron.

Interesting. I'd say that's one of the best and easiest ways to spot a significant time frame, having multiple hits all at once, and especially with the luminaries involved. Progressed luminaries applying to natal planets seem to be the one thing most astrologers agree on, even those who minimize the value of other progressed planets and points. Thank you for sharing what you went through. I'm really sorry you had to endure all of that. I'm sure every loss and hardship played a huge role in how you evolved, but that doesn't make it any easier, does it? I guess that's part of being human. I was just thinking... we're approaching a hybrid solar eclipse on April 20th — the rarest kind to occur, apparently. I'm sure you know eclipses have incredible potential to spark drastic changes, but what's interesting is that it coincides with t Jupiter right at 23° Aries. Transiting planets often act as catalysts for whatever might be brewing in the progressed chart. Here's hoping that this time, both Jupiter and Chiron operate at their highest frequency for you. There's duality in everything, after all.

I really appreciate your thoughts and kindness @aetheria , I watched a video on midpoints yesterday, which reminded me that my sun/Saturn midpoint @ 23 Libra opposes natal Chiron. My 6H sun and 12H Saturn are in mutual reception, so that's a vital midpoint, and I'm mentioning this because it adds context to the time frame I described above, where I was often in hospitals and care facilities. I didn't know this upcoming eclipse was hybrid, thanks for the information! I had to look it up: www.mentalfloss.com/posts/hybrid-solar-eclipseThe eclipse squares Pluto which is exactly conjunct transiting draconic Saturn @ 0 Aqua at that time. Everything about it looks potent. In my location, Chiron is exactly on the IC in the event chart. "There's duality in everything, after all. " Yes yes

I was just watching Yellowjackets, and the show is hovering over the line between spiritual and practical. The spiritual going against morals. Instincts.
