I want to raise awareness about hormone imbalances in males. I had my estrogen levels checked when I did my lab work at the Veteran Affairs medical center. My estrogen levels were found to be 593! That's way too high for a male. The reference range is 56- 213. My testosterone level is low. I have to go see an endocrinologist. I actually requested to my primary care doctor to get my hormones checked. It's a good thing that I did. I recently found out that I have rare mutations that indicate potential problems with endocrine system and reproductive system. One of them is a rare missense mutation on the Androgen Receptor (AR) gene which is located on the X Chromosome. The rare mutations also have connections with abnormal neurological processing. Some of my rare mutations are actually novel (not currently found in anybody) like my rare missense GNAS mutation. Both AR and GNAS genes are found to have connections with neurodivergent conditions.
