Show and tell? Links? Still trying to figure out if there is any special meaning when there's a prominent configuration in the composite. === Last night I hummed the first note to "Unchained Melody" (one note, barely audible) and my youngest son, who was pouring himself a drink in front of me, rolled his eyes and started singing "my love, my darling..." Mocking me. I protested, "Hey I didn't even SING anything!" But he says I'm super predictable. Here's our composite: If we include Psyche and allow a bit of orb (I know YOU won't lumina, but I mean other people ) there is a grand sextile. Natally I have a splash chart. Yet it seems in my life, I have dealt with more than a normal amount of striking composite charts, especially kites, mystic rectangles, and tight t-squares. Is it a case where I am naturally or subconsciously seeking order and structure to compensate for my own scattered chart? Anyone else have stories about geometric composites?

Wow! Ava what an amazing chart! (and in this instance I definitely would count Psyche in - and the proof is in the pudding, or in the singing in this instance )

Not quite as geometrical or convincing I guess. And well I included Chiron and SN, but did not draw in lines to the asteroids

Oh sorry, I didn't mean it as a geometry contest. It's quite geometric and "convincing" lumina . Now that you present it this way...honestly, why haven't we talked about Venus as the apex of a Golden Yod before? AND it's conjunct the moon and squaring the nodes. With Mars-Pluto on the NN. If we take the south node as the apex of the kite and part of a t-square, it really speaks to me as a lifetime in crisis almost, where the past hasn't been resolved. It's like the chart is saying, "Remember this? What about this?" Then the SN dispositor, Mars, is on the north node. Something about remembering who you are as individuals (Aries) will bring about the NN? NN = Mercury/Saturn and Mars/Pluto midpoints, more or less. Tough conversations you aren't having because moon-Venus keeps demanding that you be gentle? How do you get into a productive war, the enlightened way? (I know that's a strange question, but to my understanding the I Ching gets away with it, so why can't everyone else?)

Ava"Now that you present it this way...honestly, why haven't we talked about Venus as the apex of a Golden Yod before?" Yeah, that is true. and it is pretty exact too, Venus on the Jupiter/Saturn-mp. 14 minutes of orb. "AND it's conjunct the moon and squaring the nodes. With Mars-Pluto on the NN." Yeah. seems like a skipped step If we take the south node as the apex of the kite and part of a t-square, it really speaks to me as a lifetime in crisis almost That resonates with me, though not quite sure why. Also I find it interesting that our synastric Pluto-Chiron-opposition falls along this axis. His Pluto on 21 Libra in his own intercepted 7th house, my Chiron on 20 Aries in my 4th house. " Actually in the composite the Moon is on the (far) Pluto/Chiron-mp: 22 minutes of orb. (22 Cap - 22 Cancer) According to Sandbach "o experience feelings of great intensity, which, if given into, can lead to profound healing Mars is squaring the Pluto/Chiron-mp with 36 minutes of orb "Action which has a deeply healing and transformative effect. Extremely intense impulses are felt, and need to be acted on, or else great stress might be the result. Spiritual forces are pushing hard at one to take the initiative to further evolution. Then the SN dispositor, Mars, is on the north node. According to Jeffrey Greene one of the sureshot signs that people are (meant to be) meeting again, and have met before in a past life. Not totally sure how I feel about past lives either, but for now I treat them as "symbolic storylines" putting into images some internal feelings or impulses or connections. Something about remembering who you are as individuals (Aries) will bring about the NN? I`ve always found it intriguing that it is HIS Pluto on the NN, while my Chiron is on the SN. Seems to say something too. NN = Mercury/Saturn and Mars/Pluto midpoints, more or less. NN 20°46 Libra Mars/Pluto 19°11 Libra - but since it is conjunct, that is close enough for me Mercury/Saturn 19°31 Libra (Moon/Venus 19°27 Cap) Tough conversations you aren't having because moon-Venus keeps demanding that you be gentle? POssibly, though there have been "tough conversations" or at least exchanges, usually brought up by me. I hate bringing up any kind of criticism but now and then I felt I had to do so, but this only ever happened when the internal pressure became too much and feeling like keeping silent about some things would just poison my good feelings about our connections. Usually I went into those talks, well oftentimes at least the time when they were happening was more or less a "spur of the moment" thing,b ut really just the peak of some development taking place usually over months before, and well when I went into these talks, I was totally expecting him to never talk to me again. Usually - sometimes with a bit of delay - this led to constructive changes however, not to the point that I would say he did everything I wanted, but seems he gave the impressions I voiced some thought, sometimes the changes came up months later though, and I am sure he thinks it was all his own idea. lol (Remember I pointed out about the weird noises his piano was making on the recording? He didn`t seem too receptive to that complaint/ observation and found explanations for them, which well didn`t feel quite right, but I let it rest. I had said what I wanted to say and that was all. Not even a month after that he came out with the announcement he has bought a new piano, cause the old one was almost unbearable in sound. I probably was not the only one pointing it out though, though I never heard any other fan complain about that, actually several were pointing out the disappearance of the other the old piano and were surprised he changed it. But I could imagine that the pianist who was playing his piano in some concerts might have also found some direct words about the sound quality. lol) However there are definitely talks we are NOT having, for sure. interesting that currently we have a Mercury-Saturn-opposition in the progressed composite. I like your phrasing of "productive war", I can absolutely understand that.

Your composite with your son is really intriguing. I mean Moon on the ASC in Gemini - emotional sharing of thoughts, might even be within your heads I guess.
And then the connection of personal planets with otherworldly energies, that Uranus-Neptune in particular, though Pluto is there too and the Sun-Mercury in Pisces, more Neptune flavour, and then there is of course Psyche, too, seems like you have a strong intuitive-psychic bond to each other.
I do wonder though how you feel about that Mars opposing Uranus and Neptune?
it is also aspecting your Sun. Well of course the composite with your son was ALSO your own EVC with that moment of his birth. Mars - Uranus is very exact, something unusual about that birth? Unusually quickly or something else that was out of the norm? though Neptune is close enough to matter of course, so it was not just Uranian.

Thanks for all that interesting information and detailed replying lumina. I'm curious, where does Jeffrey Greene say that about composite Mars on the NN? Is it online? Any more free content to be found along that vein? Well I would love to add more serious readings to the "Planets on the NN in composite" thread. I'm in a bit of rush to leave for work, might reply more later. First, one answer: "Mars - Uranus is very exact, something unusual about that birth? " Yep. One of the worst experiences of my life. My son's worth it though, such a cutie.

Ava I think I read it in his book on evolutionary astrology, maybe there are mentionings of this on the EA forum as well, but I don`t know for sure. BTW it is not about MARS on the NN, but the ruler of the SN being brought to the NN. And yep, I could imagine that with the aspect there, but there are such nice aspects in that composite too.

Yes, interesting how there is something else we have in common there.
Well I don`t think we need to apply this to past lives so much as it might represent like something from this past, or even something that we are familiar with, being brought into the future. Usually we say that we are well versed in the south node traits and we should not get stuck there to not block our path into the future.
HOwever I think with the dispositor of the SN ON the NN, that kind of familar behavioural conditioning (or however we want to call it) IS the path into the future. Or differently put, we do not have the luxury to just let it stay in the past, but we have to find a way to bring it up into the present-future, possibly in a modified version of course. But almost like we are "not done with it (the SN) yet".
It is probably not easy for either of us. after all Venus in Scorpio and Mars in Libra are basically in detriment. likttle bit like a fish out of water. Wait I don`t want to go all deep, life is supposed to be comfortable, comforting, tangible, lived with the five senses, don`t wanna know about some 6th sense, its difficult to breathe in deep water too, and it`s murky down there, like in a swamp, I belong on a meadow though, just indulging in the good simple life with the simple pleasures of food, touch, music, wine etc. might be Venus first take on having to go deep into Scorpio and just reacting uncharacteristically intense.
And I suppose Mars in Libra is basically the opposite venue, having to go more charming, more refined, more diplomatic than Mars really feels comfortable with. Like asserting oneself without being a warrior, or finding ways for fighting somehow aesthetically?

I do wonder if composites with planets heavily aspecting the nodes are more likely to have strong geometry? Far-out question, could the two go hand-in-hand? Hmmm Not by pure mathematical relations, but maybe qualitative ones? I could imagine that. BTW just for fun of course

lumina"Not by pure mathematical relations, but maybe qualitative ones? I could imagine that. " Yes, that's a good way of putting it. Though I'm never exactly sure where one thing ends (mathematical reality) and another begins (intelligent design?). I mean everything is statistically impossible if you look at it a certain way. Right? I was laughing at the super stellium with Mr. Law. I forget it and then it shocks me again. I think, if you have a bundle of planets opposing one or two others, it's called a hammer? www.astrotheme.com/files/figures-composed-aspects.phpBut your hammer forms a t-square. Anyway with so much in the first house it's no wonder you were so close to the stage. "Sparkly" golden yod with M, I see your logic. Imagine if that really is their comp ASC, apex of yod with Saturn-Pluto and Neptune. Just the Saturn-Pluto alone makes a person wonder. I've got another geometric chart to post...

Composite with my Cancer son features a trapeze: ASC-Saturn, Pluto, moon-Neptune, Mercury. From the same link above www.astrotheme.com/files/figures-composed-aspects.phpI guess there is also a grand cross, but with a wide orb. Not sure what to say, it's not like I can summarize a whole person or relationship here, but he's a super practical kid, I rely on him for help around the house, advice, a number of things. Then I try and keep the balance equal (sun in Libra there hooks onto the trapeze). The Saturn/Pluto square was longstanding in my EVCs I guess and may explain a dark period (baby blues) after he was born. He understands my gravity, his moon's conjunct comp Pluto on my NN, his Jupiter is conjunct comp Cap moon-Neptune on my sun, opp his sun. We're also pretty good at laughing things off or inventing jokes to navigate difficult situations with some levity. He's got a natal kite, with Jupiter at the base, sun at the apex..his entire kite configuration overlaps this composite with conjunctions: comp Mars conjunct his sun, comp Chiron on his Uranus, and I've mentioned his moon and Jupiter. Also our comp ASC/DSC axis is his exact true node axis (his NN on comp DSC); his true nodes square my mean nodes exactly. Pls don't quote

" I mean everything is statistically impossible if you look at it a certain way. Right?" Well what I meant is that in composite some aspects will be the natural result of the presence of certain aspects in the natals or synastry.
Like if one person has Sun trine Jupiter with Sun coming first, and the other person has Sun trine Jupiter with the Jupiter coming first, and both aspects are approximately having the same orb, then the composite will have Sun conjunct or opposite Jupiter. Always. That is due to the mathetmatical make up. It of course sais a lot about meaning too of course.
But a conjunction of planets to the Nodes in the composite does not neccessarily have to mean that there will be symmetrical geometry. though if there is a square to the nodes we always have symmetry of course.
But very often it seems to be the case, geometrical composites coinciding with strong nodal aspects.
"I was laughing at the super stellium with Mr. Law. I forget it and then it shocks me again. "
Yes, me, too. lol
That is why I now and then like to dig it up, just never had anything similiar in a composite, coming up and the stellium being bracketed by Moon and Sun, and I haven`t checked but I suppose the NN falls onto the midpoint.
I think, if you have a bundle of planets opposing one or two others, it's called a hammer? Hmm a Hammer would be a square with two sesisquares (Thors hammer), I know what you mean though, it probably could be counted as a bucket, with Saturn as the handle. Actually I have natally a bucket with Saturn at the handle too, but Saturn does not oppose any planet. (however the rim planets of my Bucket formation are Jupiter and Pluto, and the Jupiter/Pluto-mp falls exactly onto my Sun-Mercury conjunction - why am I not rich btw?Shouldn`t I be a mega millionaire with that or at least the leader of some cult? ROFL I guess I must express that one differently )
As for Mr Law, just checking, he has a bucket formation too with Jupiter and Pluto as rim planets. lol But the collection of planets on the one side, is much close to each other as in my case, fits almost in a square or so), his Jupiter/Pluto-mp is on around 25 Scorpio, nothing big there, except it is closest to the Lilith-Mars-conjunction, but this is on 29 Scorpio, so too wide for a midpoint.
The planet at the handle is also Saturn, but unlike in my case, in Gemini in 7th house, and opposing his Venus by 2 degrees (and his Mercury by 5 degrees).
Well there are some similiarities between our charts.
obviously that makes our composite a bucket chart too with Saturn at the handle and in very noteable opposition to Sun.
I think the midpoint of the rim planets, Jupiter-Pluto again, miht fall close to the Neptune-ASC-conjunction.
"Sparkly" golden yod with M, I see your logic. Imagine if that really is their comp ASC, apex of yod with Saturn-Pluto and Neptune. Just the Saturn-Pluto alone makes a person wonder." I could imagine her having been born close to noon, the chart just seems to fit somehow. Well yes, that Saturn-pluto, quite a complex aspect. Saturn-Pluto can be very harsh on personal relatonships, or as Cochrane calls it the "bare bones, no dessert for you" aspect. It also in my opinion can be very binding. like cement. Which is why I like to see it harmoniously connected to personal planets especially Venus or Moon or even Sun or Mars or Mercury. Because without that, you might be glued to each other, but at some point the question might come up of: "We are bound to each other, but can you explain me, why?" (I am talking mainly about romantic relationships btw, I think in business relationships this can be a power-house aspect, though might be overpowering to anyone else around).
And obviously there comes a lot of responsibility with that aspect.
Their composite is intriguin in that it combines very different outer planets aspects.
As for Saturn-Pluto it squares Ps natal Venus-Juno-opposition. So whatever triggers him (or his Venus-Juno), affects the relationship as well. Pluto for now.

Very interesting composite with your Sun. I think I have come across trapezes in some composites. If allowing wider orbs my parents have one as well.

So interesting that your composite with your son features the Saturn-Pluto-square. It makes sense with the gravity and phase of depression in your EVC`s (maybe other aspects count in EVC`s too, not only conjunction / oppositions, that might be a hint towards this).
But here this is what I meant, the Saturn is trine Mercury, Pluto is sextile Moon. That makes this potentially very deep, and with practical empathy, and the why seems easy here, well also Mercury represents the child, Moon the mother, so that is sooo literal. lol But apart from that there is a lot of understanding and depth of emotional sharing there, that seems very serious, but also gets consolidated b y Saturn and Pluto.

Hi Ava"That astrotheme article I posted with my comment mentions a hammer, just plain hammer, that is one planet opposing a stellium" Ah, okay, I see ". A bucket is similar except the stellium is larger and spans more signs (I thought)." Strictly speaking there does not even have to be a stellium in the closer sense, it is enough that all planets except one occupy one half of the chart (so that would translate to a range of 180°, though I find it often to be much closer and very often coinciding with some stellium in there) Your comp stellium with Mr Law is almost entirely in Sag, except the sun and asteroids. But if that's a bucket to you, that's what I'll call it. It is a bucket cause all the planets except one (Saturn) are on one half of the chart. www.astro.com/astrology/in_jonespatterns_e.htmspeaking about me personally, I certainly can see how my Saturn (though rather complicated) is a driver of my chart and acts as a gatekeeper. My mother had the square natally, exactly conjunct and squaring her nodal axis. No we never got dessert (!) or had ice cream/sweets in the house, unless there was a special occasion. Our Easter candy came from the health food store. I am fascinated by the literal manifestation of that. Of course that is also extremely sad, especially considering that she had to die so young. I almost have the square or a wide one: Pluto 9°05 Libra, Saturn 16°57 Cancer, it usually is wide enough to not create a lot of havrock (but possibly an underlying sense of dread and how potentially gloomy life could become is there). Well I remember one of the most challenging times in respect to P was when our composite solar arc Pluto was exactly square composite Saturn. (at the same time Tr Saturn was squaring my pr Sun and pr Moon was moving into a square to my Pluto, well there was a whole lot of crap going on) Their comp NN on your draco ASC? Seems a sensitive point in your family, might predispose you to seek this out or sense it in other people? (P's ASC) Maybe. My youngest brother`s ASC is exactly conjunct P`s and there are certain manierism and quirks both have in common. They also both have a Sag-Moon of course. "HELLO. WAKE UP, TALK RIGHT." LOL I love that! That is how it should be!
