Thanks lumina . In my location that Aqua stellium fills the 8th house. Draconic new moon @ 5 Sag. I try and be a good sport about transits, but tr Neptune on my moon square tr NN in Gemini on my Mars is a b*tch. Total confusion and pressure to make speeches about it. So I try and read more but it's snowing so much I have overdue library books (Mercury Rx, too).

Ava Draconic new Moon on my tropical Mars. Yeah sounds like a bit of a difficult transit-time going on for you. Well I`ve just had my lunar Return this month; I had not thinking of this too much, but when P was asking - generally - which song would have to be in OUR top 100 (his latest project, his personal top 100, let`s see how far he gets before losing interest like usually. lol - well he started with "Hallelujah"). Anyway after the first post where i Named some songs, I suddenly got struck that the one song that MUST be in there, really, is "Innuendo" by Queen. Actually it makes me laugh now, seeing that my lunar Return has ASC on 21 or 22 Pisces conjunct NEptune on 19 Pisces, with a stuffed 12th house. That song is SOOOOOOOOO much that! (apparently he agrees with me though that this is an unfairly underappreciated masterpiece, at least he liked my suggestion.). It only later hit me, I mean usually I am thinking of the lyrics or the title first, the meaning, this time I was very much about the composition, however I was basically shaking my head about myself, considering the whole of the song, including title, lyrics and of course this bombastic, fluid composition. I think I already manifested my lunar Return. lol (not so mention that basically the minute it shifted, the lunar Return I got notified that P had put up another video on TikTok, and the thing is, I don´t know why I got notified. I mean I sure follow him, but I follow others too, and I have never been notified when THEY released a new video and not when he did so before, but oh well, also "Hallelujah" seems rather fitting the Neptunian theme too, of course the lyrics are overflowing with disillusion and disappointment. Still a great song.) Sorry I am ranting. ACTUALLY I just wanted to say I sort of like the exact Venus-Jupiter-conjunction on 12 Aqua which falls exactly onto my pr Sun, not sure why it is in 12th house though. Also that MErcury is right on my Moon, and seems that is now crystallized for the whole month. Obviously my Lunar Return is sort of a New Moon-chart, not very close in orb, but close enough to be interesting, my Moon is at 17 Aqua, and sun at 22 or 23 Aqua in that chart. But yeah anyway 12th house is always weird. Well my Solar Return is a 12th house chart as well, with a Moon-Jupiter-Saturn conjunction at the beginning of AQuarius there. Don`t know, just observing and finding all of that very strange, but sort of intriguing.

AvaI was being curious, if and when a lunation in my Draco EVC would mirror that new Moon. Yes there will be one, not a New Moon however, but a Fullmoon again. It is not EXACTLY the same degrees however. It will happen on 9th march (a week after my Draco Uranus Return) all Draco EVC Moon 25°02 Leo EVC Sun 25°02 Aqua flanked by EVC Uranus 22°20 Aqua EVC Venus 27°59 Aqua so it seems the EVC fullmoon, closish to the tropical New Moon as of today, will actually fall right onto the EVC Venus/Uranus additionally. NOt even sure this is "something", but it looks interesting.

Relevant features of that New Moon for me (using the delineation tips by Sophia Mason).
New Moon itself ------------------
- widish sextile to n Sun-Mercury (2-3 degrees) - exact conjunction to n Psyche - (exact sesisquare to n Pluto - I don´t know how much a sesisquare/ semisquare features, but some astrologers say especially in predictive astrology they are very potent; I could imagine them sneaking up on us, at least I think I notice that in the synastry with P)
--- hmm apparently I have a natal Pluto-Psyche-sesisquare, never noticed that before, but it does seem to make sense; also New Moon conjunct my n Psyche would have made a lot of sense for the last month, too. of course I do not know if this will continue in this month.
- conjunct my pr Mercury (1 degree):
----- so my pr Mercury is reapplying to my n Psyche (0°34 a), both on 24 Aquarius, and the New Moon seems to energize this.
The Sabian being: A Butterfly With The Right Wing More Perfectly Formed
The mentioning of butterfly is interesting, as this is what Psyche means, literally, butterfly. I think this is a call to a balance in terms of thinking, maybe I am too prone to rely on rational thoughts or am more used to it, and need to let the "intuitive" side speak a little more.
Whatever this is about, and even if we do away with asteroids, this New Moon aims at my Mercury, it aspects both, natal and pr Mercury (sextile and conjunction). Don`t expect me to shut up. lol
- also opposes Priapus, but with almost 2 degrees (Priapus on 21 Leo)
And a lot of 8th harmonic aspects really.
- semisquare pr Mars - sesisquare pr Pluto - semisquare pr Juno
plus
- quintile pr Neptune - conjunct pr Pallas - quinkunx pr Eros
Well pr Pallas is on 23°55 Aquarius, so this one, too, is conjunct pr Mercury on 24°37 Aqua and n Psyche on 24°02 Aqua - and the New Moon activates it. loooooots of thinking perhaps going on in the next four weeks?
Interesting the last fullmoon was exactly falling on my natal Pallas. Making a mental note.
Wellw ill continue later; not sure how I feel about the big 8th harmonic chain there. I mean I KNOW I have pr Mars partile square pr and n Pluto, and applying, seems the New Moon must be possibly squaring the midpoint? But that would mean that P`s n Uranus must be somewhere around the midpoint ofmy progressed Mars/Pluto. uoh, not the most comforting and comfortable placement there might be, will check later about the orbs.
Edit mental note to myself: midpoints in the progressed charts, especially of forming aspects
(random observation the New Moon is very tightly square P`s n Uranus: 0°08 and also conjuncts my solar arc Venus: 0°11 well this of course ALSO means his n Uranus is squaring my sa Venus at the moment (0°17 applying, would be completely exact in 3-4 months), but well the New Moon falls on this.
Not sure if that means anything (though In oticed in recent years that yes, if solar arcs are very tightly aspecting a natal factor in another chart, including the so called soft aspects, it usually manifests in some way, in the case of soft aspects, more subtly and smoothly and flowing, dynamic aspects are usually a different matter, but of course I cannot say if that might just have been a coincidence or if this is a rule so to speak.
And yes my pr Mars/Pluto is right there on 23°50 Scorpio; also not sure how much squares to midpoints figure in; sometimes I think they are very powerful, sometimes I am not sure. I am sure about direct midpoints, the squares I am still in observation mode, sometimes I think squares my manifest, but a little differently, like a car that hits you sideways when you least expect it)

Let's see if we can actually follow this new moon through the month lumina? Transits to those aspects you listed above might ignite them or something? Tr mean north node exact on my Gem Mars, opp Sag Juno, and I already overtalked a past relationship. "Relevant features of that New Moon for me (using the delineation tips by Sophia Mason)" Is she the one you quoted before, talking about how exact transits during a lunation sort of define the next two or four weeks?

Ava Yes, I suppose transiting Sun or Moon might be good activators? I suppose the transiting Nodes might always be a factor? Yes, I was referring to the one I talked before, though I stumbled across an interesting method or idea, about the gestation cycle, by Frank Clifford, in his little book about horoscope snapshot (which is a collection of essays of interesting subjects, and seriously more food for thought than some really thick books. But his writing style is very up to my taste. Must be because he is Aries, short, concise, to the point, a little too "brash" maybe, but just like that. ) Actually he refers to and expands on the work of another astrologers, quoting him "Yet, what Dietrech Pessin found was that nine months after every New Moon, there is a First Quarter Moon in the same sign and around the same degree.1 And nine months after this First Quarter Moon, there’s a Full Moon at around the same degree of both previous phases. And nine months after that, a Last Quarter Moon is around a similar degree of the same sign, completing a ‘Moon Family’ – four phases linked by time and the (near) degree of a sign.
Clifford, Frank. Horoscope Snapshots (S.197). Flare Publications. Kindle-Version. "
"Most human cycles and life stories are not completed in a month. With the Lunar Gestation Cycle, though, there are four related lunar phases (each nine months apart) that speak of the development of a seed (New Moon) into a crisis/action phase (First Quarter), then to fruition (Full Moon) and finally into crisis/recap/recoup (Last Quarter Phase). It’s a useful timing tool that shows events
Clifford, Frank. Horoscope Snapshots (S.198). Flare Publications. Kindle-Version. unfolding over two and a quarter years (0, 9, 18 and 27 months). No longer are we expecting a lunar cycle to hold all the answers or show a complete cycle of human affairs in a mere 28 days. The Lunar Gestation Cycle is more akin to real life phases and timings. It is also, interestingly, the time it takes for Saturn to move through a sign.
Clifford, Frank. Horoscope Snapshots (S.198). Flare Publications. Kindle-Version.
So how do we know which phases we’re in now? Well, we’re probably in a few, as there are New Moons each month that may activate some aspect of our chart. One New Moon may conjunct our Mercury in March, and a month later the next New Moon squares our Saturn – both begin Moon Families of their own. So I advise students at the LSA to highlight New Moons and the aspects they make to their charts (usually with a 4–5º orb) and then follow the cycle through. If a New Moon triggers our chart (e.g., by aspect to a planet or angle), it sets in motion a two-and-a-quarter year cycle. The events, emotions or circumstances that transpire will have in them
Clifford, Frank. Horoscope Snapshots (S.199). Flare Publications. Kindle-Version.
the symbolism of the sign(s), house(s) and aspect(s) involved, and the stage of the development (New, First Quarter, etc.) will be significant, too. So we have a clearly marked map. There’s no need for predicting which of the three to five aspects from transiting Pluto, for example, will manifest in a ‘meaningful event’. With this method, we have a ready-made timetable that links a storyline (a package of events), and we can watch it wax and wane through the months and years ahead. As Dietrech points out: dramas in our lives cluster around the dates of these phases usually within two weeks either side, but sometimes to the day. And when there’s an Eclipse involved (whether it’s a Solar or Lunar one), it becomes a power-packed Moon Family and the developments have more lasting consequences for us.
Clifford, Frank. Horoscope Snapshots (S.199-200). Flare Publications. Kindle-Version.
The cycle doesn’t always end with the Last Quarter Moon. Sometimes the New Moon nine months later is still within orb of the original set of phases and this continues the storyline further (see the example that follows).
Clifford, Frank. Horoscope Snapshots (S.200). Flare Publications. Kindle-Version.
I probably need to delete those quotes in a bit, cause I am not sure I am even allowed to quote so much from this essay. Well I have not really researched it yet, but it is an interesting idea, might give it some thought or look later. Well exact transits always get my attention, I could imagine a lunation giving them extra energy, as if shining a light on them, bringing them into clearer spotlight or focus. However I just noticed that Tr Pholus is coming into partile conjunction with my Venus, it is also interesting to me, as natally I have a Venus-Pholus-aspect, albeit a very soft one, a sextile, but it is exact (0°39, 6 Cap - 6 Pisces). Curiously enough P has Pholus sextile Venus as well (2°41; 25 Cap - 23 Pisces; it is a bit more widely, however Pholus is angular, conjunct his ASC on 25 Pisces, which honestly is my rectification, with the time he originally gave me, the ASC would be on 23 Pisces, but come on, who is born exactly at 12:30 p.m? Ahd what father does remember a precise time? Though P himself gave the birththime of his first son VERY specifically with 6:11 p.m. lol) The ASC on 25 Pisces works very well with the timing of several events, but of course I am open to being wrong about it. lol (this is also just a time difference of 4 minutes, Pisces is so quickly rising. lol) But anyway of course because we both have it natally our composite has the sextile as well: Venus: 16°01 Cap, Pholus on 14°55 Pisces, pr composite PHolus 16°29 Pisces. Actually pr composite Vesta has been conjunct pr composite Pholus exactly not too long ago (exact in summer 2019, interesting timing). Well my own pr Vesta has just been on his natal Venus I think. Actually it was completely exact on our birthday. lol Well obviously it is valid for longer than a day, but interesting to see when it peaks. Anyway like usually I disgress. lol And I am overtalking a non-relationship. lol But as long as it is fun, entertaining and helps me to understand (at least astrology), it is as good a way to pass time than any other, and astrology is one of the rare things that never bore me.

I have to add this to my Karmic Debt thread...never knew this! Thank you. I was thinking of Pholus lately because of this recent, horrible tragedy. dfw.cbslocal.com/2021/02/11/pileup-100-cars-trucks-trapped-drivers-interstate-35w-fort-worth/Well Pholus is square Chiron...but also, this new moon was conjunct draconic Mars and Uranus, on their midpoint. --- ANYWAY, anyway... Pholus can be good, too. And Pholus-Venus sounds intriguing. Well you and P have a theme of small things snowballing into something larger, wouldn't you agree? Yeah, I mentioned my college boyfriend on another thread and I think for him it was love at first sight because he liked this headband I was wearing. LOL That's like Pholus, right? *Checking* ....transiting Pholus around 15 Virgo then, conjunct his Mars, trine my sun. It's the little details. GREAT headband.

Avaabout Moon - Saturn right, yes? Well once I realized a couple of years ago that Moon takes the SAME time for a cycle in days as Saturn takes in years, AND then realized that Moon is the closest to earth, and SAturn basically the farthest (of the traditional planets, the visible ones), I started paying attention, especially when there are Moon-Saturn-aspects in synastry, composite or progressions (BTW P got together with his wife when his pr Moon was opposing his n Saturn and trine hers) It`s like their both giving a "frame to earthly experience", they are maybe too "boring" for most current astrologers spiritual notion of romance and twinflames and the stuff )(they are certainly no Venus-Neptune, which I adore for its own reasons), but in terms of the every day experience, they certainly have their say. Well they represent Mommy and Daddy for a reason I suppose. And they need each other Saturn desparately (though denying it is so) needs the emotionality and softness of Moon, generally speaking), and Moon`s emotions need some sort of "container", some hold, to give them shape and not letting them just trickle away. And the correlation of their cycles is really saying something I guess. (obviously sometimes Moon-Saturn can also suck royally, if they do not work together well, but persisting on their respective position and closing up to each other, then it can get very ugly very fast, icy, so to speak). "I was thinking of Pholus lately because of this recent, horrible tragedy." Yes, that is shocking and so sad. "Well Pholus is square Chiron...but also, this new moon was conjunct Mars and Uranus, on their midpoint." I guess both might figured in. though I think David Cochrane did a research and found that Sun-Mars-Uranus is often activated in accidents. www.astrosoftware.com/AccidentResearchWithMidpoints.htm"Pholus can be good, too. And Pholus-Venus sounds intriguing. " It is at least intriguing. Well I first noticed Pholus in regards to the first P. who actually has his Pholus and SN conjunct my Moon. Interestingly he had been seemingly invisible and disappeared, and suddenly, I mean like really sudden-ly, reappeared when Pholus was discovered! Yeah, Pholus is pretty young in the astrology world, it was discovered in 1992. But I then noticedc that everytime something small had happened that snowballed into a bigger thing (good metaphor for Pholus), Pholus was activated. It is a little bit like lightening a stick of dynamite, but with a looooooong fuse, and you are not even aware that at the end of the stick there is dynamite, but while it slowly burns its way of the fuse and you think you can pretty well deal with it as it is just a softly glowing, and at some point something will blow up/ explode, and you are just confused: where did THAT come from? (it was in development all the time, but you just didn´t really get it. lol) Not sure it is always the case however, I suppose some Pholus aspect might really go unregistered. Well you and P have a theme of small things snowballing into something larger, wouldn't you agree? Yes, I would. lol Well we met when Tr Pholus was right on the first meeting chart`s ASC and right in bewteen my ASC and NN (and Neptune) and on his Mercury. I haven´t really traced Pholus in recent years though. just out of curiosity been putting it into the transit chart for the first workshop and when he was first hugging me. Then Tr Pholus was on 27°00 Sag, conjunct his Sun by 3 minutes, and actually right on the DESC of that event chart (27 Gemini on the ASC; 27°19 Gem, and Tr Sun was on 26°06 Sag, so on our Suns, yeah a day to remember. lol). It's the little details. GREAT headband. Exactly!

^ LOL, me and my headband.
Thank you...wow, first hug has a Pholus signature, right on his sun! Now I'm all curious what magic (or misery) this will bring me when it's on my sun. I think that will be the first time in my life? Checking...yes, Pholus has a 92 year orbital period.
It hits my sun's degree in 2028 but doesn't quite conjunct it. Basically at the end of this decade I have sun-Pholus in my solar return charts.
Thank you for the Cochrane link. 'Meant to say the new moon was conjunct DRACONIC Mars-Uranus, on their midpoint, because it appears to be so in a natal-to-draco chart. However, looking at it carefully, that's not true: draco Uranus 20 Aqua, Mars 1 Pisces, mp 26 Aqua.
Tropical Mars/Uranus mp @ 12 Taurus squaring Venus-Jupiter, though.
The new moon was on the tropical Neptune/Pluto mp @ 22 Aqua.
Sun @ 13 N contraparallel Uranus @ 13 S for this new moon.
....Yeah moon/Saturn is one of those solar system oddities. People who don't believe in astrology will still sometimes admit that full moons can make people and animals nutty, but we don't get as much feedback about Saturn because it's not visible.

K, I'm curious about: 1. The 27 month lunar gestation cycle that began at last years' new moon @ 4° Pisces 2. The whole set of lunations accompanying this coming full moon, because it's an important one for me astrologically. Looking here, even though it doesn't show quarter moons cafeastrology.com/lunation-charts-year-2016-2017-2018.html18 months prior to the upcoming full moon, there was the new moon @ 6° Virgo on August 30th 2019. I wonder what I was doing around then, besides cleaning (I know the rules for a Virgo new moon). I know the emotional "theater" of that time (this new moon squares my Venus, is conjunct my husband's Venus) but I don't know what this upcoming full moon is going to unveil about a subtle, ongoing, unnoticed narrative relative to that time. HMMM....we'll see.

Ava I am curious too. Hmm, today is such a weird day. Maybe it is the fact that there has not been sun all day, it is all grey and rainy, maybe I am just feeling bored, but also unmotivated to do anything. Like "between times", sort of. REally makes me wonder if there is any kind of 29 degree scenario going on in some of the quicker prediction charts, like tertiary progressions or quotidians or even diurnal charts. lol Not that it is important, or that I could even find the energy to look those up. Well I do have energy, I am just unmotivated. Bleh. Sorry for that rant has nothing to do with any lunations, just a weird day, neither bad nor good, just grey. Did I mention I really dislike grey-ness? lol

8th august 2021: 16°14 Leo (next new Moon)
actually it seems they are getting closer to aspecting my Moon again (17 Aqua).
