whisperix is a fabulous rune reader I play with them myself. My favorite rune for a while has been Dagaz. "Dagez means daylight, and represents divine light. This rune generally refers to dawn (the initial sparking of energy) or to midday (the climax of energy). Both dawn and midday are symbolic of change, but unlike the changes in the perpetual circle of the year which are slow and subtle, the changes over a day are much faster and more dramatic. The breaking of a new day is symbolic of the rapid illumination of dismal circumstances, and is suggestive of Satori. Be careful - although this rune generally suggests a positive change, the symbology of a peaking point suggests that there must be a change downward as well. Fortunately for some, this rune is cyclic and irreversible, and so permanence is not promised - the only thing you can be sure of is an exciting ride."Passing through the runes, through each one in order, is the same as passing through Tarot, a journey of initiation. Here you can find an online rune oracle, which is also a learning tool: www.facade.com/runes/

Ahh thanks a mill LeeLoo. I'm just a beginner, so I don't have a favourite one. I asked a question on the website you linked, but the answer was less than pleasant 😕 so I guess I need to find a new way. I'm thinking of writing runes on my body for something. Just wondering if anyone tried it without a mirror. It's not easy to write them in a way that the "other person can read", yet they need to be written from left-to-write top-to-bottom

I wanted to study them several years ago. My aunt used to work on a hotline, and gave readings to people. I tried to make my own from Silver Ravenwolf's "Angel" book, and also collected stones from my driveway, to try making more. That was in 2009.

Hi! I have never made a "licence" to read runes. It seems that I prefer traditional old ways for divination. When I began with runes I was fascinated by the several ways you can use them and I liked every single story about them. I studied the entire story for each rune first. Afterwards I was sitting in the nature and picked one stone after the other and asked each one: "Do you want to help me to find the truth?" It took me some time. For me a stone holds wisdom. Other take wood, because it resonates more. When I came home I did read the story again, while I was drawing the rune onto the stone and said:"Thank you." I always lay them down outside on a full moon to reload them with their special meaning in combination with their wisdom. As soon as I hold them in my hands and there is no energy any more I do throw them away and release them into the world again. That is the point where I sit in the nature again. The very first questions were: "What is the message of the day, please?" As life moved on I protected my house with three stones and the runes that I needed at that time. What I do like to create from time to time is a rune that I need for a special time in my life. I throw the entire set and combine them into a bindrune. I know that other use this technique to represent a concept. Please be aware that this is not the same way a Sigille is made. I like this site to give a brief overview. www.runemaker.com/wares/personals.shtmlMy personal rune is Othila at the moment and I paint onto my body like a tattoo. I had a time were I put the rune into my bra. I can not recommend that, because it is not sexy when all of the sudden some stones are flying out there.

Thank you for sharing your experience with runes.
I'm not in the right mind to making them now, so I'm just learning about the meaning, story, and basically anything I can find. At this stage I'm more inclined in making the stone ones, but I've read that runes made from wood hold energy better.

How do you write a rune on your body? In what position? Do you use pen or visualize it?

I do need to remove it when I work, but it is still there for me . My affirmation:"My right(=arm) to an inheritance(=Othila)."

m2322! Hi and welcome! Yes sure. I always like to exchange experiences and I can try to answer your questions. Hi! Thank you!! I dont know if you can now..lol, I have general q for now..meaning things that I have noticed or not understood during my own readings. Like I got a reading with tea leaf cards and it was the horse and I was told that sb comes in my life as quickly as a horse and is sort of a knight, so to speak, a really good relationship and a strong bond.. AND at the same time I kept pulling the rune Ehwaz for the readings I made for myself..but really nothing happened and I got confused about the meaning or the depth of it, since ehwaz stands for the same things as the horse card in general. Whats your opinion about this? Thank you in advance!!

Haha yay you found my thread. Thanks for bumping it up. Looking forward to learning more Btw, since those earlier posts, 4 people I know personally made rune tattoos. I am not sure what to think of it... I personally would not do it, especially if you consider that most of them (if you believe in it) have a *double* meaning.

One of the first things rhat came to mind..since I am looking for the proper tatoo for about 12 years lol.. But I ve read this is serious stuff and they function as spells too, so better not play with this..I think for now..but I keep my mind open, dont know..! Yay I am.waiting for more too..!!

@m2322 I would be scared to make a rune tattoo. I read somewhere that when you draw a rune, you address to the specific god. Just imagine, if you have a rune tatto, its like you are calling for them all the time non stop. I dont have any tattoos, but I would like to do something cosmic

If you interpret Ehwaz as the symbol with the rider and the horse it can be that a lover comes into your life. Some associate this rune with the Lovers-card in Tarot. If this rune reverses then a pause could be displayed. Maybe you were a bit too fast? Maybe you have missed something and now you should take another step backwards. If the rune converses it means for me that the meaning is meant for the future and not for the moment. May I ask: What is you personal connection to this rune?

If the rune converses it means for me that the meaning is meant for the future and not for the moment. May I ask: What is you personal connection to this rune? Yes it was about a potential lover as you said. It came up firstly with the tea leaf cards when I asked a q about a person that I am really interested in and this fell off. The reader wasnt sure if it was about him or sb else, but then and without knowing anything about the rune, I pulled it when asking about him again. If we are gonna be together and such. So it kept coming up. It was mostly for late November and December. Now it stopped. Lol. And yes there was a pause, although I didnt draw it reversed. So maybe I could ask you a question, as I am dying to have a reading from another rune reader? Lol. And I can exchange of course if you d like. Really thank you for the help anyway! Eta.. whisperix lol just now I noticed that you said going too fast, yes, thats what I did in fact. Is it possible now that you said that, that the rune represented me in regards to him?? The tea leaf reader had told me that a knight lover is coming, nobody came though. It was just a phase that I thought maybe sth would happen between the 2 of us. But nothing happened lol.
