Old conversations I know, but hopefully still interesting. How do you think Venus-ASC synastry plays out? I think it indicates mutual attraction, not just Venus liking the ASC or the other way around. Every time I've had mutual attraction (not common but it has happened I swear ) there has been a sextile between their Venus and my ASC. Once there was a square. Sometimes a sesquisquare too actually from Sag venuses. That's another conversation though- really minor aspects? Yay or nay? I do think this synastry aspect is rather superficial though. More like a fleeting crush if there's nothing else supporting it. Anyways, lets talk about something nice ^_^

I don't have a Venus/Asc in synastry but a Venus/Sun dw (a square and a trine).
How would you think that might differ from Venus/Asc?
Venus/sun - soft aspects by cafe astrology: "They create a sense of harmony and offer some common interests to the partnership. The Sun person feels more loving and beautiful in the presence of the Venus person".
while Venus/Asc is described thus: 'points strongly to attraction, where the Venus person enjoys or is stimulated by the Ascendant person’s body energy and mannerisms. You will be especially aware of each other’s affectionate nature'.
I agree with the Venus/ Sun interpretation. The Asc aspects take the appearance into account more - how a person looks counts for a lot and appears to be more superficial.

I suppose the Sun would feel appreciated by Venus for who they are, whilst the ASC would feel appreciated for how they looked, yeah. Just going strictly by what each planet inherently represents Thanks for replying!

We also have a Sun/Asc dw so both Asc and Venus aspecting the Sun. Therefore, some of the characteristics would be common.
