I have been using Google Fit, an app that counts how many steps you've walked as well as the pace, to set myself a goal and try and achieve it. This is working well. The WHO recommends 150 heart points (150 minutes of brisk walking) a week, which means about 25 minutes of brisk walking every day or 40 minutes of brisk walking every other day.
A moderately brisk walk is measured as 100 steps a minute. Or, alternatively, a speed of 2.5 to 4 miles an hour. I think steps/minute is a better measure since a petite person may not be able to cover the mileage. I seem to cover 2.5 miles in an hour.
Anyhow, I have set myself the goal of 60 heart points a day, i.e., walk briskly for an hour a day as this is recommended if one wants to change one's metabolism and gain muscle. Will post a link to that advice once I find it. It is hard, however, to maintain a fast pace for an hour. I tend to do it in two sessions on most days.
I have also downloaded "Noom", an app for counting calories, which is making me eat more healthily. The very fact that you log more calories if you're eating loads of starch, makes you wary of doing so simply because you want to look good on the chart:D . Noom, however, does not log exercise as well as Google Fit does. And since it is an app one needs to subscribe to, I'm going to look for something else.

Well I do have a steptracker, but more accidentally, however I`ve been taking one to two walks daily in these times, maybe not as briskly as wanted. And watching what I eat (though this has a lot to do with a probable lactose intolerance as well). Anyway just today I was crossing the mark of having lost 10 kilos since february (and yes, most of it intentionally. well after accidentally losing 3 kilos at the end of february due to some health problems, I kept it up and changed my nutrition), which is the lowest I have been weighing since november 2018. I was rather unhappy with the weightgain that happened throughout 2019, so it is just the weight that I had gained that year, that I shed again. But I certainl feel relieved. I think in some way the lockdown has been good for me grounding and centering myself and come to some sort of inner peace and quiet.

Yes, the lockdown has resulted in a better focus on myself, on things which I've been putting off for a while. One of these is to get fit. I've been gradually putting on weight, say 3 or 4 lbs a year, but after 2 or 3 years that amounts to a lot. My objective is to get back to my 2015 weight. Your weight loss since Feb sounds amazing! Well done!

I added activity, as well as revised my diet. I eliminated sugar. That will help me lose weight. Chloe Ting's workouts are really cool, but also challenging. I like the fact that I burn a lot of calories. The important thing is that you feel comfortable.
