The name Patria is derived from the latin word for 'Fatherland'. It is in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. I assume it relates to Patriotism, a love or pride for one's country. Being in between Mars and Jupiter is quite fitting really, emphasising the idea of fighting for your beliefs, your philosophies and understanding of the world...and your place in it.
I don't really want this thread to become political, but it might be too relevant to be ignored or not touched upon. Either way, let's at least have fun. Where is your Patria and how does it relate to you?
I'm thinking that, depending on how it is aspected, it may indicate what how you feel about your roots, what love or don't love about them. Roots/homeland/whatever may relate to a more spiritual topic as well...where do you think we come from?
More generally in relation to this asteroid, it may represent what it is we are proud of- it may not even relate to the homeland as such, but what things in your life make you want to stand up and defend them? With such an ardent fervour for something, is it something that makes you feel at home in the world?
Many questions, I know, sorry. I'm just musing on any potential angles and themes this asteroid may or may not cover.
In my own chart, it is at 8* Libra RX directly opposed Venus and sits in my 4th house. I'll have to think about the above questions as to how this relates to me. I was raised to think things through fairly and squarely and I have held on to this throughout my life. I try not to jump to conclusions, or take things at face value- which could well be the opposition to Aries Venus at work here because sometimes I do slip up or am tempted to jump to conclusions hastily and when I do, I am reminded of those Libran lessons! As I integrate these into my adult life, I also tend to bang on about it too...I hope I don't do it dogmatically, but when I am out and about in the world (10th house), I find people are impulsive (Aries) in their ideals, or irrational or quick to resort to idealism (Aries/Venus/Pisces MC). So I start hammering on about balanced judgement blah blah blah.
Probably not great, but hey ho...
