Things that are a degree before a house or sign are "on the cusp". 29° of a sign is considered at a "critical degree".
But what about when the object in question is retrograde? Do you consider one degree after a house and sign on the cusp? Is 0° now the critical degree as the Rx object is about to leave the sign for the previous one?
Personally, I count these as such, though I'm not sold in the critical degree thing in either case. How do you all feel about it?

Yes geminiblues, I do count 29° and 0° as critical degrees, whether Rx or direct. I haven't worked with house cusps that much but maybe lumina has some observations.

I also count 29° and 0° as critical (transition) degrees. I do not really take rx into account with housecusps as it is the housecusps that are moving over the planets really, not the other way round.

lumina, my logic there is that the Rx carries it back to the previous house by progression, if it's close enough and a fast enough planet.

geminiblues the natal house? ah yes, I see. Well since I consider both degrees, the last AND the first of any house or sign as "critical", it doesn`t really make a difference for me, and I am not really using cusps anyway, except the planets are REALLY close. (under 1 degree for sure).
