We may have several asteroids conjunct the Sun. Is there one which reveals a key quality in your personality, or a quality you aspire to? I have one which I thought was striking - Thersites (1868). Firstly, it is the closest to my Scorpio Sun in 3rd than any of the others. Sun 1.35 Sco Thersites 1.39 Thersites was a Greek commoner who had the gall to speak up in an assembly and rebuke Agemmenon on his plans to wage war on the Trojans. He is one "who says what everyone else is thinking (Wiki)". Thersites was then beaten by Odysseus for his impertinence. Mark Andrew Holmes see Thersites as a complainer, critic or dissenter. But I see him as one who speaks out when others may choose not to. He is the one who offers to bell the cat. I always found it odd that I was the person who voiced criticisms openly when no one else did - a quality that emerged in my late teens and has continued to surface in different ways. It could be as trivial as being the only one at a conference table who informs the speaker that they cannot be heard. More often it is finding something to criticise in the organisation I am working for and then doing so. I was fortunate enough to eventually get paid for being critical, that is, I became a consultant - .

Very cool @astrokeen & FruityLlama I have Thersites on my ASC and have long admired people who are courageous in their way of speaking. Even if I disagree with them...you could say I prefer "strong drink" when it comes to this...give it to me straight. And FruityLlama, lumina has sun-Tesla, too, I think. I've got a bit of asteroid-envy over that. --- To answer the OP I like having 10428 Wanders conjunct my sun. edit - Well I wrote about that in detail but it feels boring to read. I just like wandering around, taking long walks, being nomadic. It's all too easy for me to feel caged in and restless.

Ava don´t feel envious. Do you know what I have to endure in february in terms of static shocks I am receiving all the time? no matter hwat I touch it seems to be electrified, usually in february, cause of the air then I guess.

Ava , Oh thank you! I don't quite know what Tesla-Sun would mean in a natal chart to be honest, but thanks! I also have Zero on my sun-moon midpoint (so conjunct my sun)...!! Adding Moira tightly conjunct my sun too. A sense of destiny with self expression? I don't even know what that would mean either but there you go. Plus Gross widely conjunct my ASC I also have Winer conjunct Mercury...I do like to talk about wine!!

^Hey that's really important in math. And in life. A zero and its clones make the difference between 1 and 1 million. It's completely safe to add. Will f*** you up if you try to divide. Destroy you if you dare multiply.
Has an interesting relationship with infinity. They're the inverse of each other. Each springs from the other. The shape echoes the symbolism. An oblong shape, a completion with no beginning or end.
Hah. I like numbers.
OP, I stumbled across a few a while ago. Off the top of my head, there's Persephone & Proserpina. My dating life would agree, lol.
Also, Rhea (wife of Saturn/Cronos).*
It's really cool you have Thersites on your Sun! An admirable quality. I have it at 5° Scorpio, on my mercury. But I'm only sporadically like that, if ever.
* I realize these are not qualities per se. More like 'roles I've played'. But these are all I remember right now. I'll see if I happen to find any standalone ones.

12YearsABlob Oh that's true, I didn't think of it like that! I just thought it meant I amounted to nothing haha how sad ^_^ I also found Moira. All I know is that means destiny in Greek. Thank you by the way ^_^

Oh I'm not sure, I just know the word that's all. I'd take the Angel of Death though, could be an interesting term of endearment on a birthday card hahaha

Haha, I might be confusing references. Moira is a good one regardless.

I'm not sure. I know that I have Ceres and Chiron, but don't remember if both are considered asteroids.

I have Priapus conjunct my Sun (2°) Always pondered the meaning of this one. According to LeeLoo, Priapus represents " compulsive desire to merge physically and totally, great physical attraction and desire"Source
Which is true in a sense. Anything that doesn't consume me doesn't seem worthwhile. I also have Pallas conjunct my Sun (3°). An excerpt on Pallas: For what it's worth, I also have Quaoar exactly opposite my Sun. Crazy as I grew up in LA!

EMP and Karma, which could be alternative Tesla and Moira. I have never experienced any odd electrical activities though. Karma conjunct Sun could be interpreted as a fated life, i.e., one that will deliver certain rewards or the reverse come what may.

I find that so funny because my Pallas is conjunct my father's Jupiter. I think lumina has that, too.

Ava yes you are right, did not even notice that, but yes, with a loose orb my Pallas 9°10 Aqua his Jupiter 12°17 Aqua fits. He was always encouraging and also admiring the expression of ideas, or interpretations of certain things. I remember at one point when I was growing up he was mentioning how I was surpassing him by far in being able to interprete things "between the lines" and how he admires my courage to never keep my interpretations and perceptions back, even if they may be far out. I had not seen that as courage, but thought it was very special that the most intelligent man I had ever met (who just happened to be my own father) was seeing me that way. He certainly is not the type to give out compliments like that on a daily basis.

On the other hand my Pallas is even more closely aligned with M`s Jupiter on 10 Aqua. I don´t think she really is that fond of my skill to see certain patterns.

ROFL --- 24°44 Pisces is my Pallas 25°18 Pisces, my father's Jupiter Not sure what to say about this except growing up, I always felt like he believed in me, as a person. I didn't really get that feeling from anyone else in the family. When I was really young I considered my father and my sycamore tree my best friends. None of my children have their Pallas in aspect with my husband's (their father's) Jupiter which is late Virgo.

Back to the original topic, have you all noticed that whatever asteroids are conjunct your sun seem to play an important role in synastry?
I've said this before, I have Hyperborea on my sun, and it comes up all the time in my relationship charts.
My husband went ice climbing alone in the Arctic Circle for a month, and when we were first getting together, I was so completely infatuated with him as he told those stories. He and I also got to see the Northern Lights together, off the deck of our country property, one time when the conditions were right. His Hyperborea-Neptune is conjunct our composite sun on my IC.
