Ladies (and gentlemen) *steeples fingers* are you ready to continue the series? And what better theme to pick than on the night of the Taurus Full Moon? I figured I'd make it gender neutral this time So what are we thinking when it comes to wooing a true blue Taurus over? Of course I can think of a few, being a Sun/chart ruler in Taurus myself: - Stability is KEY. Do you have the same group of friends you've had for the past 10 years? Do you generally stay at the same job for long periods of time? Are your moods consistent? Is your philosophy/ethic system consistent? Are you finances generally okay? Is your life typically calm and not one that falls into cycles of chaos often? Then you just might be a key recipient in winning over the heart of a Taurus!
- Flavorful food. Creative food. Food in which love has been poured into it. Key moves: Babette's Feast, Like Water For Chocolate, Eat Drink Man Woman, Chocolat, Fried Green Tomatoes. I was once flown to Paris first class on New Years Eve and then subjected to a 10 course dinner with endless champagne. That's an apex life experience for a Taurus. Woulda married that dude if I could have.
- Are you a little jealous? A little possessive? You will not be judged in the House of Taurus for these qualities.
- I would say we like PDA quite a bit. Kissing in public, holding hands, touching whenever possible, nuzzling, eskimo kisses, any kind of non-erotic sensuality and displays of affection are a-OK here.
- Be good in bed, last a long time in bed, be up for anything. A lot of sites state that we live to incorporate food into sex.. perhaps it's my Virgo rising but I find this a HIDEOUS thought. Other Taurus placements I know tend to agree. But candles, bathing, lingerie, toys, that's all fair in love and war here.
- Past a certain age (let's say.. 25, when your frontal cortex stops developing) I believe that an individual should have a long term relationship under their belt in order to qualify for courting a Taurus. I'll never forget when a 27 year old admitted to me that they had never been in a relationship for longer than 6 months in their life. Trust me, they were as charming, gorgeous and sexually experienced as could be. It instantly shrived my massive crush on this person.
- Being well versed in the arts (art history, film, books, well traveled) is also a plus for this sign.
- Having a good sense of style! I can think of two guys (one a Taurus Sun, the other a Taurus Mars) who were very taken with the way women dressed, and could talk shop quite well when it came to cuts, fabrics, flow, etc even though they were very basic when it came to their own sense of dress. You don't have to be overly feminine, just understand how patterns/textures work for your skin/body type is all that's needed to impress. My Taurus Mars ex bf loved to buy me clothes from this ritzy catalog he would shop from - strong, reliable materials from a long standing, old company was what he valued. He would also get things like J. Peterman catalogs mailed to his house just for the hell of it.
- Not surprisingly, the guys seem to be breast men rather than ass men based on my limited experience.
- Slow, stubborn, opinionated.. all true. But if you hold your own and are logical and patient, respect will be doled out in spades.
Questions/comments/concerns?

The food comment is SOOO true I would say ( looking at my dad who is biggest Taurus I know) for him it is all about comfort food though, he is a guy who just likes the feeling of a comfy cold day, where he can read the newspaper or a good book, being called to come to eat lunch and it being a nice comfort food meal. He likes the traditional foods, things from the oven + good soup. Stability yes, although I noticed the want to provide the stability but yes to the woman who wants it on the same level as them Lol I do not wanna even think about the rest since I am basing this off my dad Hmm the sense of style I do not know I know he always depended on my mom to tell him what to wear since while he worked he had to wear a uniform Travel/books for sure, he loves a good book, especially one about history or some spy novel and he is a retired pilot so yeah travel (he keeps telling me he keeps having dreams about being a spy) WOW to the being flown to Paris that must have been some experience athena !!

^ Hmm, they do have a solid vibe. Dunno if it's a guy thing, or an earth sign thing - they tend to move pretty suddenly, all at once. Like it's now or never. In my limited experience only, of course. Perhaps Taurus is very decisive, no wishy-washy will-they-won't-they confusion. So if they're in, they're allll in. Maybe that's why they take time?
One Taurus guy I knew was interested right off the bat, but maybe that was his Cancer stellium - listening to his feelings.

Well I do not know about dating one. But I know my mom told me she could not wait for dad to propose any more and that she just proposed herself and he did not mind. So yes maybe such things just take longer for them. In her words " he took so long, he would have waited few more years so I just asked him"

There are a few things ppl don’t know about Taurus: They have quick, extreme reactions, especially when they dislike something. Taurus is ruled by the senses, they are very tactile and very in touch with how their bodies react to external stimuli. Now, usually their strong reactions to things subside over time so they learn to not respond immediately to any situation before they can decide how they feel or think about things. In many cases, they might have such a strong reaction to a situation, or a person they never want it happen to them EVER AGAIN. It can be an immediate shock or a response to a situation that last a long time. But Taurus only want to surround themselves with things of values, and if they decide you are of low values, they freeze you out and never interact with you again. It’s passive aggressive and kinda peaceful. Speaking of passive aggressiveness, just imagine a bunch of cows trying to protect their lots... they do not want your trashes in their lot and they’ll guard it. You are supposed to read between the lines and stay off their lane. If you are somehow confused by their peaceful manners and keep violating, there’ll be a build-up of anger and they’ll unleash it as the final resolution to crash it all down and rebuild things up again. If that’s the only way they can remove your existence... Their logic is that they have done everything to save what’s beautiful and valuable and their effort has been futile so might as well just destroy it all...yeah it sounds like Hitler because he was a Taurus ... so was Stalin. Taurus mulls over things for a long time and solidify their knowledge of life into a fixed deposit of water. They don’t like things that contradict each other. They like consistency. Major philosophers are not Sags, they are all taureans because philosophy is a discipline of putting things in boxes, of “ought to,” of precondition and expected results. Taurus can be very traumatized, confused or depressed when there is a shakeup in their belief system, as in something forces them to reevaluate their viewpoint. I guess that’s why Gemini is the following sign and it’s about mental flexibility.
Taurus take a lot of pride in their work, and they mull over their work until it’s perfection before releasing them to the world. That’s why they have abundance in their life, because they’re made of quality and quality control is their mode of operation my dear.
Singers like Adele, Kelly Clarkson and Sam Smith never needed to dance or flash, nor do they know how lol. They just awkwardly, gently drop something of values into the world and expect you to take it or leave it. Top actors of all time are Taureans too. So I guess ppl do take it. Taureans are low key self deprecating... not insecure like cancers, but reticent and slightly not confident of what they have to offer. If they decided to do something, they already know they’re gonna be damn good at it. It’s almost like they’re so traumatized by the errors and mistakes of Aries they have to over-evaluate. This brings me to the next point. Taureans are extremely nit picky and picky. They don’t vocalize it like Virgo but they see the tiniest imperfection. It takes them a long long time to commit to something because they have to see if what they’re about to commit are meant to last. They’ll fight for the things they believe in once they do. Lots of revolutionaries are Taureans (Aquarius is more reforming, not revolting lol). Look at Che as an example. When it comes to relationships, a divorce really hurts a Taurus because they thought it was meant to last and they might never marry again. George Clooney for example divorced the first time and took forever to remarry.
When it comes to partnership, Taureans are very proud and they know they have a lot to offer. So you as a partner have to be able to take them up another level. Usually they have some sort of mental checklist but Taureans are open to a wide ride because they appreciate life and beauty.

@theunknown
I always enjoy reading your reflections on the signs, its really interesting!
Yes, I believe that they are ponderers. I've noticed Taureans tend to back up their actions or thoughts with reasons, and will explain how they got to that conclusion. They have a disposition for self reflection I think, because its worth it in order to improve themselves. They/we are definitely pleasure seekers though!

This is spot-on. Taurus is quality without the frills.
I want to cite Lana del rey's musical style here too (Taurus Venus). Granted, she has a Neptunian influence on her videos - which is beautiful. But if you take the music itself, every note is unhurried and she takes her time. The songs forego a lot of the trappings of pop music. The instruments themselves take a backseat, and at times it's just her voice holding you in.

Btw, because Taureans don't like consistency, they try to make sure they know what they know. They are usually really good at sciences/math or anything they put their minds to, even if it requires attention to details.
Also Taureans remember things wayyyyy longer than Scorpio. Taurus mooners I know can remember what feels like the whole phone book ... and they tend to remember how you have wronged them wayyyy longer than Scorpio because there is an aspect of Taurus that cries over spilled milk.

John Cena is a typical Taurus btw ... asking his gf to sign contract before coming in, failed marriage first time so took forever to decide on the second time, extremely stable and steady in his success
The guy who runs Zen Habits is another one --- gradual changes and addition of new habits over time, creating a set of rules (aka philosopher mindset)

When learning, they need to go over things one step at a time and digest it thoroughly. That's how I learn, I can't pick up things like a Gem moon can and remember straight away, I need to really etch it into my brain. I have a somewhat photographic memory, but I need the wires in my brain to add up properly first. I have a good memory when it comes to people in person. My memory is awful if we are conversing over text or something, I don't know why that is or if other Taureans are like that. I know a few fellow Taureans and we all speak about the countryside or our country roots, it's nice

I say that because with these two guys I was romantically involved with, it started fast....like, kaBOOM... Right? Yeah, maybe that's because earth energy can be a kinda...staccato? You don't see the movement from one stage to the next, you're just *in* it. With water energy, you can feel the natural progression of things. Earth tends to be more 'opaque'. Not trying to be too literal, but you know what I mean. So, it's not so much the slow melting of an ice cube on the counter top, it's the sudden flip of a light switch. A lot of their processing is internal and doesn't involve the other person, so it can be hard to know until they've reached their conclusion (and are ready to share it). but then there was a serious lack of communication, maybe on my own part, I wasn't going to say anything, I was just kinda waiting for them to make their intentions clear. Earth energy tends to be quiet, I think. We just hung out in very mysterious circumstances, in this limbo between friends and much more than friends. Yeah. They do tend to be quiet. Maybe they were waiting for some kinda signal to go for it?

^^it is possible that because I can read them really well I don't think they hang out in limbo state as much.
All the Taurus sun/moon/mars I know make it pretty clear. They hang out with you all the time, they try to make some comments here and there, they suggest meeting up, etc ... I mean they do a lot to arrange things happen but they are not gonna barge in your space.

Mentally, they're in the "courtship" stage and that's pretty clear. You're right, they don't play games.

A taurus moon/cancer sun I know walk up to the guy he liked and gave him his phone number. He also has mars in virgo in 12th ...
We are just really polite lol. Recently this gem with venus in leo and moon in scorpio barged into my space all the time to make it clear he is interested and of course my earth stellium/grand trine was severely offended. It's like ... can you not read between the line? I avoided you most days these days, stop having that "can't take no for an answer" attitude ... jeez.
The Aquarius I met many years ago who had mars in taurus was clear within 1 day of meeting me. He didn't take long to decide and he has a cap moon. A year later when we talked, he still suggested meeting, phone calls, etc ... but it was done in a 1950s kinda politeness lol.
Like honestly, taureans have very strong reactions to things. If they like something they like it from the start, because all of their sensory system acknowledges that you have the substance and bells and whistles to add.
The time I didnt have really good response to someone but somehow questioned myself, I really paid lol. These days I trust my intuition. If I don't like someone, nope they don't get to be in my space.

I forgot to say, Taureans are ruled by Venus. They are peaceful but also lazy and opportunistic. They will keep you around if you still have some use to them. They try to save things of values, you see ... So if they dont like you but still have some use from you, they will still be friendly and peaceful. They are on the same axis as Scorpio so they are equally manipulative. Also I've noticed Taureans don't read emotional content/intents from others well because they see clearly what's theirs and what's yours ... So say someone is thoughtful enough to give them a gift, they are not gonna be as touched as a scorpio .. they just think: "well what use do I get out of this."
Taureans are peaceful and beautiful but they can be very shallow and their attitude of "this is mine, that's yours" prevent them from being vulnerable to other human beings and reach a higher level (which is what scorp is about).
Taureans are low key self-centered too. Most of them really don't care what you think; they see themselves as pretty awesome so... who are you now? Remember Hitler ... at the final hours, people couldn't tell him the truth because he wasn't good at acknowledging reality and hm... when he found out the truth he shot himself *Shrug*.
