I was wondering about synastry with close friends and what it could look like. Then I thought, wow what an idiot, I am pretty sure planetary synastry would be similar to romantic synastry since its really about how you resonate with each other so I need to think a bit more specific. Therefore, so on and henceforth I am looking at these asteroids.
Has anyone already bothered with these and if so, what are your experiences, do they show prominently in your synastries with your dearest friends?
There is someone who is a bit of a pseudo celebrity that I reckon I would be absolutely best of friends with of we met and their amici is right in between my sun and moon, their amicitia is exactly opposed my venus and my own amici.
I'll have to get back with findings from friendships that I do actually have haha

you could add Philia (280) - it is the Greek word for love/ friendship, though it encompasses a very deep connection actually, more like love without the erotic emphasis.

Oh yes thanks lumina ! I keep getting that mixed up with fili (kiss) so I never think of it for friendship words haha! And wow, with this person, my philia is exactly conjunct their sun and opposed their philia exactly! Some other friends who I do know; Their Amici/itia exactly opposed my sun, opp. moon and square them. My amicitia trine their moon and ASC.

Interesting FruityLlama 3809, 367, 280 I have 6 Sag Venus 8 Sag Amici 11 Sag Amicita 12 Sag Neptune Philia-Juno @ 19 Virgo. So it would be hard to say where everything is coming from. My best friend's Philia is conjunct my Neptune but these aren't prominent in our composite. Checking another good friend, her Amici @ 8 Aries is trine mine. === This upcoming eclipse chart has Amici-Venus @ 19 Virgo

This upcoming eclipse chart has Amici-Venus @ 19 Virgo I like that! Especially since Venus will be exactly trine Pluto. So your EVC will have Venus-Amici, too. You love your friends. Actually I think that every lasting love (and yes, even romance) needs an aspect of friendship and true meeting of minds too. But that might be due to my Moon in Aqua and Sag-planets, we are big on the friendship-thing anyway. I always found the definition / quote of Aristotle interesting: "“What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies.” ― Aristotle" It`s fascinating for me, cause we probably would rather relate that to the soulmate/ twin soul concept and relate it to a romantic/ intimate relationship. However I suppose we need to consider the differences of the society back then, the idea of romantic love in a marriage was not the norm then (there were exceptions of course). Anyway I disgress, but yes Venus conjunct Amici, I like that. my Amici is on 1 Libra, I guess a bit too far from anything in my chart. lol (it is 3-4 degrees before my MC, so pretty elevated) Amicitia is on 2 Leo; lol basically that means their midpoint falls onto P`s NN on 1 Virgo. Philia is on 14 Taurus Honestly speaking those are not degrees that seem to spring to mind when I think of my friends natal charts. Interestingly in the composite with P, we have Amici, Amor, Cupido, (Camelot) all on the same degree as our NN on 20 Libra. SEriously. NN 20°46 Libra Amici 20°16 Libra Amor 20°35 Libra Cupido 20°47 Libra Camelot 20°00 Libra Seems like a bit of a loaded degree, natally I have: DNA (5000)20°20 Libra Musa (600)21°58 Libra Sappho (80)22°06 Libra ------ Chiron 20°02 Aries Phoinix (4543) 20°04 Aries he has Pluto 21°23 Libra Anteros (1943) 22°21 Libra (funny enough his PHOINIX is on 25 Libra, roughly opposing mine, so composite Phoinix ends up on 22 Cap, being on the same degree as composite Moon - and well it seems somehow fitting) oddly enough his eldest son has MC 20°43 Libra NN 21°59 Libra of course that means that shortly after he was born our composite had its nodal return. lol also funny enough P`s wife`s DNA is on 21°43 Aries (opposing mine curiously enough), but of course it makes really a lot of sense for her to have her DNA conjunct her son`s IC. (for examply my middle brother`s DNA is conjunct my IC, I think it might come up frequently, though maybe not always and not with every family member, in families). Anyway, apart from that my composite with P has Amicitia on 26 Libra, in between Mars on 23 Libra and Union on 29 Libra Philia is on 11 Taurus opposing Uranus on 12 Scorpio, and widely conjunct Eros (3°26) (it has by now progressed to the degree of natal composite Eros and is applying). Well I just think it is hilarious for our composite to have Amici, Amor and Cupido on the NN. lol Like anything less than everything would not be nearly enough.

My natal Amici is conjunct my Venus by 1 degree. I love the friendship aspect of love and I think it supports my 11th house stuff. Ooh Ava my Amici also trines yours then because thats where my Amici is too! Well, at 7deg Aries. EDIT and I have just realised you posted your planets anyway so yes it does, and your Amici! Ok so perhaps the composite is something to look at then- what a fantastic composite lumina !! With that person above, our composite also contains a wide Venus conjunct Amici

FruityLlama well not sure about it being a fantastic composite, but that Nodal axis is something, it also falls onto the approximate midpoint of the very very very wide conjunction, if we want to call it like that, of Mars on 23 Libra and Pluto on 15 Libra. Oh and the wide Moon-Venus-conjunction from 16-22 Cap, of course has their midpoint squaring this one. At least it is not a boring composite. lol your Amicis are all connecting to my ASC on 7 Sag and IC on 5 Aries, I definitely like that! As for friendship and Love, I know that Kevin Burke suggests to see if there is any flow or a harmonious flow between the 5th, 11th and 7th houses, especially in terms of the aspects of rulers of these houses, but I think this might be fitting for planets in there, too, and the houserulers are always a little tricky, if people use different housesystems. For me Placidus is the only one that works with houserulers, but I know that some people prefer whole sign houses or Koch or whatever. in my case, Venus as ruler of 5th house, is in a 5 degree sextile with Uranus on the cusp of 11th house, but also squaring the ruler of 11th house, Pluto - well ther eis an energy there, but not a completely smooth one. Interestingly P has that, too, ruler of 5th house (Moon) square ruler of 11th house (Saturn), with 11th house ruler conjunct DESC. But in my case ruler of my 7th house is only conjunct Sun, which rules the 9th house, no clue what to make of this, but it surely looks like a strong combo. Unless we count the 6 degree out of sign sextile to Uranus (again), of course (the Mercury/Venus-mp is exactly sextile Uranus on 11th house cusp btw, while I do not consider sextiles to midpoints really I find that intriguing enough to mention. lol)

I rarely have time anymore to research asteroids, but I did add Philia. My toddler's chart happened to be the one I had up, and besides having Venus conjunct his MC, he also has Philia conjunct his MC by less than one minute. I know we all have special feelings about the children in our lives, but there truly is something so incredibly sweet and healing about my littlest guy's disposition. Very soft touch for a baby, especially for having an Aries Moon and Mars in 1st house, haha. Sorry, not trying to brag about my kids or derail, I'm going to look at that one regarding my closest friendships and see what comes up.

Hm, not much for Philia with my best friend or my husband (my best friend's and mine are about three degrees apart, presumably because we were born a few months from each other). But my Philia is conjunct my oldest's Sun. I'll look at the others later.

None of my aforementioned houses do anything to each other which is a shame haha I wonder if your 7th-9th gives you a flair for philosophising on the nature of relationships lumina ? Aw Violets , that is sweet! I'm sure most parents wish their children to be like their best friends to be honest. It must be a shame if they're not. I am sure he will grow up to be very popular <3 Also perhaps worth mentioning that in modern greek, filia means kisses so maybe it is more parental or gives like a childlike feeling to relations?

With my oldest son (whose Sun is conjunct my Philia), we have a lot of difficult squares in our synastry, but we really do have a lot of fun together, and are very close. We play video games together and make up funny dialogues for the characters, talk about music, etc. It's a nice ease to the squares.

Violets , delighted to know about the Philia connections. I just found that my baby grandson's Philia in conjunct my Sun. Hope it manifests in a similar fashion to yours . We have Venus conjunct our composite Asc while he has compassion on his MC precisely. Our Mars square one another so we''ll have our arguments too.
