Dear All:
i have always thought the most dominant planets & signs are those that are either conjunct angles or rules the chart and/or other important points or is highly aspected.
According to Pullen, my most dominant planet is moon; understandable if you consider that the moon rules my chart, my sun and venus. Pluto for example is not considered to be dominant according to Pullen. However, astrotheme is of the opinion that Pluto is my most dominant planet. Pluto doesn't rule anything in my Chart thought; it conjuncts my IC and is highly aspected.
What measures do you use to determine the importance of a planet or a sign or even house?

I can't remember what mine are, I did that chart/reading years ago, and am too tired right now.
Pluto rules my chart, co-ruling with mars in Pisces. Uranus is conjunct my ascendant. Both planets feature heavily in my life. Venus is important to me too, though. It's conjunct my moon and SN, aspects both Mars and Pluto, and rules my 7th and 12th. I used to be an artist, and I miss it. relationships are important to me - friendship and family are huge for me, but also almost non-existent now, unless you count friends online.

Tried to answer this twice, deleted my post twice.
I'm just going to take another angle:
Just wondering what happens if the most dominant planet is the one that holds a person back and makes them passive? So passivity becomes a major part of their life story?
My Mars is out of bounds and quite dominant in the Pullen charts, but it's Rx and in a t-square with my Pisces moon and Neptune.
So it's not a typical presentation of Mars energy.
I'm thinking it might be similar for dominant Saturn. It's not necessarily a strong (proactive, productive) Saturn, even if it's deemed the most potent planet in the chart. Could be dominantly negative.

According to Pullen it is Pluto and Aries is most dominant. Which is funny because I have 3 planets in Pisces.
Aries is my Venus/Mars
Pluto and Sun are close though. Pluto is in my 1st house so kinda makes sense too.

Mine are Uranus, Moon and Venus and Dom. sign is Taurus, but I forget what the other signs are, I think one is Aquarius at number 2 or 3... I think its calculated by an algorithm devised by Walter Pullen. Beyond that, I don't know much to be honest and I've always assumed it was just a calculation of everything that a planet and sign does in your chart...as in I think its just a descriptive or power analysis but I could be wrong, I hate maths haha.
EDIT I am also not sure as to what Astro.com/Dienst actually have to do with this calculation, probably not a lot if its an algorithm computed by someone else..
Here is what it says on Astro.com:

My report for my planets in the houses is really funny because it says this like three times in a row:
This person's [insert planet related aspects] is very practical, often skeptical and stubborn, and loves serenity and inner peace. Most often this manifests in the area of life
dealing with the future, life goals, and association with friends and groups.

Haha such versatility...

Personally? Close conjunctions to the angles, including to a lesser degree Vertex, Nadir/Zenith (exact square to ASC) and also the exact square to the MC/IC-axis, which is usually near the East point/ Westpoint conjunctions to Sun and Moon conjunctions to chartruler dispositors of the luminaries and chartrulers or of a Stellium. (and conjunctions to them). Another list would be this one: "Qualities That Increase a Planet’s Influence: The Chart Ruler (Ruler of the Ascendant). Any angle ruler. Planets on angles in the natal. The Ruler of Either Lunar Node. The Dispositor of the Sun. The planet that forms the most aspects to other planets. (You can narrow this by using the one that forms the most ptolemaic aspects.) Planet ruling the Asc or Desc in the progressed chart. Planet conjunct an angle in the progressed chart. Planets conjunct the lights, natally. Any planet the progressed Sun conjuncts. (A three year influence.) Any planet planet the progressed Moon conjuncts (A three month influence.) Any planet that disposits a large or important stellium." theinnerwheel.com/2011/07/15/aspect-orbs-an-emergency-posting/
