Vibrational astrology - funny annecdote

Well I`ve been delving a little into vibrational astrology, which is pretty much a structured approach to harmonic charts and (direct) midpoint structures, as taught by David Cochrane; and I had the idea to check the transits for next saturday using the four basic harmonics, after the natal, 5th, 7th, 8th and 9th. 

I started with the 5th harmonic (which of course highlights quintiles and the likes) and heureka! First check, jackpot! lol 

On saturday there will be a New Moon in the 5th harmonic chart, Sun conjunct Moon by 1 degree, which means that at the beginning of the show I am going to see Sun and Moon will be TIGHTLY quintile or biquintile each other (turns out it is a quintile with 0°15 orb, so very strong of course). 

And this is where it made me laugh, comparing the 5th harmonic transits with our 5th harmonic (natal) charts, that transiting New Moon falls right onto my Uranus-DSC in my chart and P`s ASC in his chart. 

Or tracing it back to the natal factors the backbone of this day for me probably is the fact that transiting Sun is exactly opposite my Uranus (0°00!) at the time the show begins, and even 2 hours later, the orb will be only 0°10) - conjunctions and oppositions, if very tight are being carried through the harmonic charts, they are the backbones of aspects in this regard. 

I like Uranus in relation to the 5th harmonic chart, I think it matches the energy nicely.

Thanks for helping me get on board with harmonic charts. It's not really hard to understand, but my mind sort of panics when confronted with new concepts, and fails to work. So, "conjunctions and oppositions, if very tight are being carried through the harmonic charts, they are the backbones of aspects in this regard"....I faintly and intuitively get that, but I don't immediately see why the opposition counts? I mean if we divide the zodiac into fifths (72°), then why would two planets 180° apart be in aspect, in the 5th harmonic?

I am starting to get a grasp of harmonic Charts, how they can provide an overview to important themes for a Person.

The main Thing really is that we are looking for Patterns (with harmonic orbs in a harmonic Chart); it all starts with a conjunction or Opposition, and if one is there, you check

a) for a stellium (like in P`s 5th harmonic Chart, he`s got that riple Mars-Jupiter-Uranus opposing Moon: with Moon on the Jupiter/Uranus-mp)

b) for hard aspects to such a conjunction/ Opposition; meaning is a T-square or Grand cross formed?

c) for soft aspects to it, trine and sextiles

d) if no conjunction or Opposition itself is present, still there might be a Grand trine, which esp. in Close orbs, is important

e) I haven`t heard him talk about yods yet, but they might be important, too, well actually if you check 12th harmonic Chart the Yod-planets will form a stellium anyway (if the yod is in tight orb in natal at least)


One Thing however is also to be said, and that is that there is no mixing up of soft and hard aspects in a pattern; I suspect the reason for that is that vibrational astrology is symmetrical astrology in nature, and if we mix soft and hard aspects, what we get is an asymetrical configuration.


If nothing of this is to be found, the harmonic Chart you are checking, is most probably just not all that important or prominent in a person`s personality (like the 7th harmonic is not exceptionally strong in P`s Chart, which is interesting, as it is for both, his wife and me, very very strong).


Actually this is downright shocking. I mean of course her positions could differ about 3,5 degrees to each side in Terms of the Sun but generally it will stay in orb no matter what.


so I am referring to the 7th harmonic Charts here:

(the signs aren´t that important, just a way to locate the aspects and planets) - oh and I also use the Vertex, as I am pretty certain about my birthtime; if the bt is not known, it doesn`t make sense to use the angles (or Moon).


(my Mercury 25 Taurus)
my Moon 29 Taurus
my Vertex 00 Gemini
my Sun 01 Gemini

opposite

my Pluto 3 Sag

Sun= Moon/Mercury (weakly)
Vertex = Sun/Moon very strong (so that is where the natal midpoint of this Comes from, it is in a 7th harmonic resonance)



HER 7th harmonic Chart has this


Pluto 28 Taurus
Sun 00 Gemini

(it sextiles her Mercury-Venus-conjunction, but this is not what I was wanted to Highlight here)


Sun = Uranus/Neptune



I mean SERIOUSLY? she doesn`t only have the same planets (excluding Moon - and I think for a reason!) in a 7th harmonic aspect, too, but it overlays my pattern EXACTLY (just remember a 7 degree orb would be a 1 degree septile or biseptile or triseptile in natal only)

Also interesting to see that while I have the Pluto opposit, she has it conjunct, it is of course in both cases connected to our Sun, but well my hypothesis is that the opposing planets have often to do with experiences we drew to ourselves through others, or a certain relating to others, sometimes an externalizing of that factor.

so does that mean that in a 7th harmonic Kind of sense I drew her into my life, due to the resonance there, to possibly make some Plutonic experiences and realize some things about myself? I suppose that is more than possible. I have learned more about myself through her (unwanted) presence in my life than by reading a ton of books. (also 7th harmonic relation ).



Also funny enough P does NOT directly relate to that axis, however provided I recified his ASC REAL good, he has in 7th harmonic Chart:


ASC 29 Aqua
Pluto 29 Aqua (!)

his 7th harmonic is pretty unimpressive, except for THAT Pluto-conjunction.


(okay not totally unremarkable he does have a minor square in there as Sun on 8 Gemini squares Saturn on 6 Virgo, there are semisquares/sesisquares to Neptune on 23 Aries - it is not symmetrical however; interestingly for synastry conjunction an orb of 8 degrees is used, so his Sun is just out of orb or weakly aspecting both our Suns, and my Moon: well i would Count his Sun in septile to my Moon still, it is just one Minute over one degree or so in natal synastry)




oh and right now transiting Pluto (the 7th harmonic Version)

BTW on that day Tr Pluto = Sun/Neptune

BTW his best friend has 7th harmonic Uranus on 00 Sagittarius. lol a shaking, liberating force to reckon with? Certainly much needed with soooooo much Pluto, I mean it Looks like being locked in some sort of eternal combat or something. lol

My fifth harmonic chart features a wide yod:
0 Aqua moon, 2 Aries Uranus, 2 Virgo Venus

Uranus quincunx Venus to the minute. So....natally they are exactly semisextile (30°) and 5th harmonic multiplies that 5x, to give me a quincunx (150°). AMAZING

LOL, see how slow I am to grasp all this? I have to talk my way through it.

Anyway, do you think that means anything? Would 5th harmonic transits to that Venus have a special effect? It would just be fun, right?

Sorry i missed your question. You are right of course, IT IS only true for oppositions in a composite, AS this IS a midpoint Chart.

Septiles are my favorite because of the way Rick Levine describes them in his horoscopes, and his voice even turns a little spooky, reminding me of haunted house special effects, when he talks about them. Though that wouldn't be totally impressive, if I didn't feel like he is correct, a septile-heavy day DOES have an otherworldly feel to it!

I adore your sun-moon septile, and in those signs.

Using harmonic orbs the yod IS a tad wide AS quinkunx gets about 1,5 degree ORB, But provided Venus IS in the moon/Uranus best under one degree But Up to 1,5 counts i would consider IT.

And yes transits, esp. Conjunct or opposite that Venus, 5th harm. Transits, would activate that Pattern and Bring Up those Things Like Play, fun, creative, self-Expression.

Yes, me, too. 

Also, it means that her and my 7th harmonic composite would have a Sun-Pluto-square with P`s 7th harmonic ASC-Pluto falling right onto that composite Pluto.

Well, actually David Cochrane was confirming it for me, or at least something he said seemed supporting of that, well the 5th harmonic is "play" and for the 10th harmonic he sais "play with others". However the 10th harmonic already is part of the 5th harmonic chart, as the oppositions in 5th harmonic chart are 10th harmonic aspects. 

It might not be always the case, that we externalize one factor, but in terms of outer planets it might be possible.

Well, I have another pattern in my 7th harmonic chart of 

Venus 12 Leo 

Neptune 09 Aqua
NN 11 Aqua

Uranus 09 Taurus

(Ceres is on 07 Scorpio - out of valid orb for squaring Venus, but in orb for opposing Uranus definitely and also squaring Neptune)

Venus = Jupiter/Uranus (over one degree, but this midpoint is being carried through many harmonic charts, as I have it natally with 10 minutes orb only)

Neptune = Jupiter/Saturn (1°02)
Neptune - Uranus/Ceres (1°11)


On saturday

Tr Sun 09 Scorpio
Tr Mars 12 Scorpio


Of course septiles are very internal / deep inner reality and inner life kind of harmonics; they are pretty deep within, so all of this might go completely unnoticed. lol

Yes, I find my Sun-Moon septile intriguing I must admit. As for the signs, while we mainly focus on the aspects, if the 9th harmonic signs work, maybe some others do, too.
