"A signal or message designed to pass below (sub) the normal limits of perception. An inaudible to the conscious mind (but audible to the unconscious or deeper mind) An image transmitted briefly, unperceived consciously, yet perceived unconsciously." What do you guys think about them? Do you believe they work? How do you feel about subliminal messages being fed to us on day-to-day basis? Ava, remember our experiments? 😵😵😵👽👽😂

I have CDs that keep getting screwed up (my own fault) that supposedly play subliminal messages, and help you with things. I didn't get to listen to them long enough to know if they definitely had an effect, and now I can't afford to replace a couple of them that I wanted last year.

I mostly notice subliminal messages in things like commercials (which I adamantly refuse to watch), and the way things are worded by the media. It's not the type of subliminal message that you can't hear, but it's there for sure, imo. I do believe that subliminal messages work, like if you listen to or read a lot of positive stuff while you sleep, or before bed, etc.

midnight You mean the eye color hypnosis? I stopped, and never gathered hard evidence, but I believe it was working. My eyes are sitting on the fence between green and brown. It didn't seem to take much listening before the green "highlights" stood out. But I stopped, I got weird and discouraged when my favorite eye-changing video was removed. The replacement video was noticeably worse and I felt deprived. Did it end up working for you? We were also talking about receiving psychic impressions without even thinking about it. I had mentioned a case where I was doodling while listening to someone talk about remote viewing. My doodle ended up looking like the illustrations for the machine that was remote-viewed. I believe it's similar to the linguistics that magicians and hypnotists use, ie "the power of suggestion." Also sounds convey ideas on an archetypal level. I might be extra sensitive to that. Whenever I've played around with intuition, as some of you saw at the old place...I have felt that I was receiving cues from the text. As if the answer was encoded in the words. Also, when I read my own words later, I start to get a visceral sense that is straining towards psychic...I get a fleeting sense of "What, did I eat too much chocolate that day?" or "Obviously I was feeling very empty then" even if that had nothing to do with the idea I was presenting. It's one reason for my deletions, I felt like I was exposing too much between the lines. Anyway, thanks for posting this topic, it's been on my mind quite a bit lately. 👍 Violets I can't stand watching commercials, either. It's one reason I don't have TV reception. anela Do you happen to have a portable CD player? I think I need one but they seem so inconvenient to carry.

anela Do you happen to have a portable CD player? I think I need one but they seem so inconvenient to carry. No. We used to have one, but it stopped working. I'm thinking about downloading one of them as an mp3 - I think they should give you the option of both, when you pay for the CD, but they don't, and it's too expensive at the moment. I don't like commercials either.

anela , ah sorry you can't listen to them anymore, but if you are really curious, you can check videos on YouTube. There are a lot of channels. Ava , yeah that one. I tried "grey" and also saw some changes in my eye colour. I think, I listened ofr a week, but stopped because I decided I wantef another colour, something like "river green", it was kinda teal-green, very beautiful. Thought, I'll take a break and never got back to it. I also experimented with the "fat-burning" videos and only lasted 3 days. I couldn't sleep, especially during the 1st night. I had a fever-like side-effects: shaking, sweating, pain everywhere... I will dig out that old thread and re-read it, I don't remember much from it. Violets , yeah, I also avoid ads. I don't have a tv like Ava , but mostly cause I prefer other services, like Netflix, etc. Thank you forparticipating in this thread everyone. It's definitely an interesting and broad topic.
