This article in The Guardian makes grisly reading because ti confirms what one suspected all along - that Boris J was a self-serving, manipulator. www.theguardian.com/books/2023/apr/30/anthony-seldon-boris-johnson-at-10-biography-interviewHere's a quote from the article about recent UK prime ministers - "“The fact is,” he says, “people come into No 10 knowing less about [complex organisations] than most people running companies employing less than 20 people. That’s forgivable. What is unforgivable is that almost without exception, they do not want to learn how to do it. They think they know best. They are often snide, poisonous, dismissive of previous teams, particularly teams from their same party. And they come in with frothing adrenaline and swagger.”

They all are unfortunately. But I also believe politicians are merely puppets for something more powerful behind the scenes, whether that is the media moguls or something else. As soon as a prime minister takes their crown, their tenure is already decided by someone higher up. Nothing that we see is ever as it seems. Not that it isn't right to criticize Boris or whoever but we really are just looking at scapegoats and mouthpieces for something we don't understand, is all I can say.
