I ask because my past SRs may have indicated a year of realising one's potential for example, but nothing remarkable happened. Perhaps the results are subtle ones. A couple of years ago, Ava read my SR and said I would get healing done and I did. I thought that was quite uncanny. My next SR, admittedly is a few month's ahead, looks encouraging - Sun and Venus at Asc which just falls within Scorpio, my birth month. Other planets are harmoniously placed except for Saturn squaring Neptune. Has anyone had their SR Sun or Venus at the Asc and found it a year where they were "confident, grounded, and able to impress others with your authority at this time. People will respond to you favourably and you will be able to achieve your goals easily"? The quote is from Cafe-astrology.

I had Sun on the ASC in the SR for 2000 (partile or tightly trine Moon-Jupiter on 24-25 Aries in 3rd house) - to be honest I do not quite remember that year, but I think it was a good one, recovering from a pretty tough situation at home, that for the timebeing ended with my grandfather`s passing in 1999. Well I do remember that my parents, one brother and me were making a trip to Berlin, which was a great thing to do. And I remember esp. three things: a) watching the musical of "the hunchback of Notre Dame", in a theatre that by now has been closed, sadly enough. I do not remember awfully much of the performances but was very impressed with the setting on stage and also the architecture of the theatre itself, and for some weird reason I remember fleetingly passing two gentlemen during that trip. The first passing took place in that theatre, I do not know why I remember that though, and I couldn`t even say how the guy looked except he was tall and darkblonde. lol
b) I remember visiting the Pergamon, the museum for ancient times. The walking up those white marble stairs right to the gate of Ishtar, which for some reason blew me away. And I remember "losing time" while standing in front of the temple of Marduk (well the reproduction), which is where I sort of saw that other gentlema, just a passing eyecontact, and I always thought it was weird me remembering such an insignificant thing, anyway, I honestly cannot remember the minutes after standing in front of that replica, as I guess it was sort of "overlayed" by mental images and the likes, and I "woke up" in the Egyptian section right before the sacrophagus of Tutanchamun. It was a bit strange, but not in a threatening way, just being very NEptunian I guess.
Another year I had Sun at the ASC was for the year of 2004, which was a very important year, I had my second year as a teacher in training and in november that year would have my final exam, so it was very workintense, it also was maybe the only time since teenager days that I was part of a closer knit group, though there were big disappointments to be had during the course of the year too. But I also remember it mostly for the night we decided to see a fellow teacher in training on stage, as he was an amateur actor, the play being "The Glass Menagerie" by Tenessee Williams, which was my first encounter with his work (except I may have seen the old movie about Cat on a hot tin roof with Paul Newman and LIz Taylor, which had impressed me a lot, actingwise). Anyway it was a point where theatre was trickling back even more into my life, but this was somehow in a closer-to-life way.
But these were the only two years.
Well in my SR for 2026 I will have Venus in a 3 degree conjunction to DESC, Juno conjunct the DESC by 1 degree, and the DESC-Juno falling within one degree or so onto my natal Sun-Mercury. It is quite a bit until then, but I am curious about that. lol An exact Sun-Juno-conjunction within a degree of the DESC and also exact on my natal Sun-Mercury (Mercury, ruling my natal DESC and SR ASC). And Venus hanging around as well 3 degrees before the DESC, 4-5 degrees before Sun (widish, but I do not get really close Sun-Venus-conjunctions)
Anyway to answer your question, I´d think that yes the Sun-ASC years were kinda important and good years, mostly, though in a bit of a subtle way. no dramatic events, more the kind that would sort of have an effect over the course of several years, like little things becoming shiftpoints for life-development.

lumina , thank you. You do have a good memory of how and when astrological aspects affected your life! Glad to hear that positive things occurred with your ASC/Sun SR conjunction. In my case, they will also be conjunct my natal Sun. Interestingly, I will have Discovery exactly on the SR DESC which may be related to finding new things to do, or, as I will be in my final year of research, having new insights. I once acted as Laura (the daughter) in 'The Glass Menagerie' in college . I used to love the dramatic arts but family norms soon quashed any aspirations on that front - it was considered too unseemly.
