Brainstorming here....please add your own list, or comment as you like. Sun - Your purpose as a couple, your energy together. The effect the relationship is going to have on you. Your trajectory with each other, the kinds of things you will do together. The essential theme. What's culminating, the more time you spend together. What you resonate with, and where you shine best. Moon - How things fluctuate. Trigger points. Whatever drives the emotional climate. The circumstances that will be most conducive for bonding. The subconscious and whatever feels fated, irrational, or out of one's control. The part of the relationship that resonates most strongly to the deeper music of life. The core of feeling. Mercury - The daily chatter, everything that bubbles up to the surface and claims attention. The verbal atmosphere, whether it's more freeing or restrictive. The extent to which words will dominate a relationship. The extent to which a relationship's communication is beautiful and edifying, or broken, or destructive. Venus - The sweet spot, the area that can be pampered to make the whole relationship feel happier. Like a foot massage can make a whole person feel better, attending to the composite Venus may bring about a surplus of good feeling. Aspects to composite Venus may therefore show how other planets receive secondary pampering...if Venus is happy, all those planets are benefiting. Attending to the Venus placement may be wise for those who wish to keep a relationship ticking along. Read Venus for clues about what's most likely to invigorate a connection. More to come...

Mars - The energy of a couple, the "battery," the way you are inclined to take action. The type of action & the setting. Physical interaction, sexuality, aggression. Mars placement may determine how the relationship physically moves or affects you, whether you become more of less active with this person. Transits to composite Mars tend to be more obvious than other transits, because something is more likely to happen, to manifest in the material plane. Jupiter - A couple's composite Jupiter indicates matters that expand out of measure. Magnified issues, a couple's idiosyncrasies, based on the inordinate amount of attention they might give to matters represented by Jupiter. Also, thanks to all the forethought, some luck here, changes of fortune that work in the couple's favor. Serendipity, grace -- how these are likely to appear. Jupiter also shows a couple's combined philosophical outlook, and whether it's harmonious or under stress. Saturn - Structuring issues, limitations, containment. The disciplines that become the backbone of togetherness (or not). Staying power and longevity (or not). Saturn's aspects to other planets will show how those planets' influences are extended and possibly "frozen" in time, challenged against growth. The nature of the obstacles a couple is stuck with, and the personal effect those obstacles have on each person, whether it's positive or negative. The lasting effect of a relationship, issues of authority, the rules or norms a couple determines for itself. Uranus - Elements of unpredictability, how and where they will strike. Extremes. Sometimes the Uranus placement seems to be determining everything else: it's the fault line, the sleeping volcano, the way a couple seems to interface with Fate. A well-placed composite Uranus works like the electricity in a modern home, smooth-flowing and beneficial. Even then, transits will stress it and burnouts or explosions may occur. Neptune - Romance personified // disillusion personified. The trance a couple falls under when they fall in love. Magic. The quality of love, the extent to which it is actually love (selfless, caring, evolved.) The collective hopes of the pair, the level of activity between auras, the psychic effect they have on each other and with their surroundings. Receptiveness to channeling, openness to and cooperation with Higher Powers, creativity. The infinite, the sense that they knew each other before this life and will know each other afterwards. The way dreams are nourished or not...the way "drifting" and aimlessness may factor into a couple's life. Pluto - Indicates the area of maximum intensity for a couple: where and how it shows up. Planets aspecting Pluto play into the Pluto dramas, which are like the crucible for a couple. Pluto may determine the level of reality a couple achieves, the scope and strength of their intimacy. It's the unspoken and unspeakable, the secrets and subconscious, the deaths experienced whether literal or figurative. For some it may be the central nerve, and in those cases, may become something of a black hole for the individuals' lives, subsuming more energy than either party knew they had. Transformative, addictive, zombie-like, a crux experience, the way a small part of you dies when it's over....those kinds of things. --- Just my loose sketches, written for my own sake, as I try and pinpoint what's real about composites, and experiment with "guidelines." Sorry if some of that was overcooked and trite. Feel free to contradict me, that's how we learn....

I love your list! And as far as I see from first glance, it resonates deeply with my own understanding.
This quoted bit I found quite interesting, as I think I´ve seen it in Action in our Composite.
Composite Mars is on 23 Libra conjunct Composite NN on 20 Libra (yes I know you know ). (and well Composite Pluto is on 15 Libra)
So over the last weeks/ months - on and off- there`s been a lot of Transits being there, one of those being Tr Jupiter going back and forth, of course now it is rather backing away from it, but that just means Tr Jupiter is conjunct Composite-Pluto on 15 Libra. And obviously Tr Uranus has been opposing this Libra-stellium for quite some time, and I think tr Mercury is heading back there once again?
Of course it also coincides with our individual Transits.
for him this is:
Tr Jupiter conjunct and Tr Uranus opposite his natal Pluto in 7th house (ruler of 8th) (on my DNA-Asteroid. lol)
for me: Tr Uranus conjunct and Tr Jupiter opposite my natal Chiron in 4th house, and squaring my Vertex-Eros and Sun/Moon-mp
Well at the current time Tr Jupiter is rather conjunct our c-Pluto, and making a Grand trine with my natal Moon-Karma-trine, but also squaring my Saturn and quinkunx my Juno.
but anyway yes I think I certainly can Attest to the Transits to Mars (Mars is said to be an Event timer anyway, at least that is what I recently read repeatedly).

Ava Wow! That 20-21 Cancer stellium is amazing! and also the Nodal return. Well in our composite Mars is the Apex planet of a Yod with the Ceres-Juno-sextile. It also is the apex planet of a minor triangle formed with the 5 degree Sun-Saturn-trine (but Mars is right on their midpoint). There is another Yod formed with Ceres at the Apex planet of the Mars-Saturn-sextile. But the tightest aspect actually is the square of Mars to Moon. A Moon-Mars-square and a Venus-Pluto-square, both under 1 degree, it`s surprisingly intense for two Sags. The Venus-Pluto is of course a theme, as we both have it natally, we don`t have it in synastry though, but in composite it reappears. There is a faint reflection too of a Venus-Mars square and a Moon-Pluto square (both almost 8 degrees though), because Moon and Venus, as well as Mars and Pluto are widely conjunct each other (Mars-Pluto almost 8 degrees, but the NN is right in between them, and actually squaring the midpoint of the Moon-Venus-conjunction, where Pluto is transiting currently. there are some harmonious planets to the squaring planets though, like Venus trines Eros on the IC (and Haumea in 8th house) and sextiles Uranus on the MC Pluto sextiles Mercury-Neptune in 11th, trines Pallas in 1st and trines Jupiter in 5th (this Jupiter is pretty much calling the shots in our composite, so it is interesting). Mars trines Psyche in 1st, conjuncts Amor-Cupido-NN in 9th, sextiles Saturn on Vertex in 7th Moon sextiles Ceres in 2nd exact, trines Juno in 4th exact, sextiles Valentine-Lust in 10th exact There is also that nice Stellium of Sun, Mercury, Neptune (and Lilith. lol) in Sagittarius in 11th house - I just watched a video of Sun in 11th house in composite. I also tend to have a glimpse at what the dispositor is doing, especially if there is such a concentrated thing, as I read up this article here: " dispositors
"the energy of that developing planet has to go somewhere. It has to spill out, play out someplace. This is where the dispositor of a planet kicks in. The dispositor of a planet will receive that planet’s newly forming energy and test it out, use it within the house it finds itself in... the dispositor will show you were the developing energy of the planet will spill. If a number of planets have the same dispositor, or the dispositors of a number of planets fall into one house, the emphasis should be noted. It will give more information to the meanings of the planets in those houses." In our case there is a mutual reception which is covering ALL planets in a dispositor chain and that is the mutual reception between Mercury in Sag in 11th and Jupiter in Gemini in 5th house. Jupiter is also a singleton as it is the only planet below the horizon, though I think the major asteroids being strewn there have their clear impact, especially Ceres and Juno. But Jupiter is dispositing all those Sag-planets, Sun, Mercury and Neptune, and it happens to be placed in 5th house, so it seems that the 11th house experience is spilling over into the 5th house, maybe expressing in a more personal creative playful way even. Well there are worse things than having a 5th house Jupiter in a composite, especially in one with the rather intense emotional planets. It`s interesting, but there is this odd combination of high idealism and maybe also sublimation and yet something rather raw and primal (I mean Moon-Mars and Venus-Pluto how could this be called differently?), and also about the unusual, liberating electric vibe with that Aqua-ASC and angular Uranus. i mean Uranus is the most elevated planet! (though Eros-Priapus on the IC is its counterpart, and the bridge is actually Venus, making sextiles/trines to both ends of the axis). And yet at the same time there is this stuffy boring conventional traditional thing I see, almost an obligation really or responsibility, but possibly also one of the reasons for the endurance. lol With Saturn in 7th house, making aspect to virtually EVERY planet, at least the personal ones: trine Sun 4°36 quinkunx Moon 1°02 trine MErcury 4°36 (biquintile Venus) sextile Mars 1°18 (quintile Jupiter) sextile NN 0°53 And Saturn is actually dispositing both emotional planets, Moon and Venus, so the bizarre, weird emotional experience (they are in 12th house after all) is spilling out into the 7th house in Leo (as that is where Saturn is, and actually it is conjunct Vertex, so in fact Uranus and Saturn are BOTH emphasized, one by being on the MC, the other by being conjunct the Vertex, an auxiliary angle. lol)

"pecially since you two are both Cap Venus natally. And it's on the Vertex, in the 7H? " Yes. we both have it natally, too, though it`s an important theme.

Great stuff Ava . I love your writing style. Me and my hubby have Composite Sun/Mon (1a) and Venus/Pluto (1a) Venus/Saturn (2s). EDIT: sorry, for my short and dry reply. Getting distracted here. Venus/Saturn doesn't feel very dampening, perhaps that all 3 (Saturn/Venus/Pluto) are sextile Neptune (exact to Venus), but there is a big sense of responsibility in our relationship. I'm kinda grateful it's not a closer orb, to be honest I don't like the feeling of heaviness, if that makes sense

Avagreat write-up! Very insightful! "Sun - My husband and I have our composite sun in Libra, a... There's the whole matter of culture & togetherness in these kinds of venues. " This definitely makes a lot of sense for Sun in Libra. Well our composite Sun is in Sagittarius, who knows what that means? Except that we seem to share a bit of "robust" humour that easily make other people cringe in embarassment. lol Also, when we first met, and even later, he seems happiest when he can explain something (not only to me, of course); also it seems like we definitely have in common when it comes to our views on social things and politics (though he is usually a tad harsher than me). Sun in 11th house definitely makes sense in this regard as well and also in the sense that there is a strong sense of relation to some community or group. Turns out we even are part of the same facebook group. LOL "because our composite sun is in Libra conjunct Venus. " That sounds very very sweet. Mars - Again and again I have seen Mars function as a trigger. Whatever it touches it activates. Maybe it's not always obvious, maybe I'm wrong....it "just seems this way. " It is interesting and does make sense I think. For my parents Mars conjuncts Saturn in their composite. I suppose in their case that related to their commitment, responsibility together and giving their lives a structure. in my composite Mars is on the NN and widely (8 degrees) conjunct Pluto, and Pluto is conjunct the NN by 5 degrees. Certainly an intriguing placement, no clue what it means though. The more I" think of it, the clearer it is to me, that this is the Disney planet, this is the hopes & dreams and melting hearts and slow music that puts a lump in your throat planet. " The Disney planet. I like that!!!!! Well our Disney planet is conjunct Mercury and Sappho (and for some reason the wedding asteroid Boda 1487. lol) It`s part of a Yod with Pluto to the Apex of Priapus-Eros on the IC in Taurus. "But I do want to study Pluto in composite more intently." Yes, me, too. It rules our MC, is placed in Libra (of course) in 8th house, and as I said being part of that Yod to the Eros-Priapus on the IC, and also being conjunct NN (and widely Mars), squaring Venus closely and Moon very widely (7-8 degrees), trine Pallas exactly and so on. He seems to be not insignificant.

Ava "It means you're defying gravity?" Haha, yes, definitely! " Also, when are you two not having fun? " When we are not communicating? " I'm not giving up hope even if it's scandalous hope. " Do I detect a little LIlithian vibe here? "The Neptune-Mercury could be responsible for some of the telepathy, don't you think? Well I have that with my husband and there is something weird about us" Yes, definitely. ". But again, couplehood would be...um...enriching for you two, because without activating Eros-Priapus on the IC in Taurus, do you really realllyyyyy know yourselves? " WEll Eros-PRiapus is very much activated. It just cannot manifest and express in the way it usually would, but I suspect it still acts as much of the fuel and drive behind our interactions. Interestingly our composite had its Priapus AND Lilith-Return last month. lol And its Eros-Return on 16th march this year. LOL your imagery is great! I like that cartoon idea. Also I loved Jewels take on Sun in 11th house, too, the things you quoted made me smile myself. Yes, that`s very true. Well there is enough drama around us, and enough drama in other composite placements (like MOon square Mars or Venus square Pluto for instance), so I think it is great to have a dramafree Sun (which is also one corner of a minor triangle, as Sun on 26 Sag is trine Saturn on 21 Leo and both sextile Mars on 23 Libra on the NN on 20 Libra). Interestingly natally I have an Aquarius Moon with Uranus on the cusp of 11th house - so the 11th house placement might resonate with my emotional needs really. For him I found it even more interesting, as he has Venus in 11th house, and Venus rules his intercepted 7th house in Libra and his 2nd house in Taurus. Maybe that is something we should have an eye on too? if the composite placement somehow fit our natals? I mean I could imagine someone who has all planets in Scorpio or 8th house, possibly also 2nd house or 4th house, might not feel as good with an 11th house composite Sun? But speaking unastrologically, I do think that friendship is a necessary ingredient actually. I need to be able to like the one I love, or a relationship or connection would never get anywhere for me (or become too much up and down and drama, no matter how wild the attraction might be).
