I was looking into this cause if anything can help sharpen my memory (or keep it intact) it would make studies a whole lot easier. A healer i know suggested a mushroom tea called Lion's mane.
Here's an extract from Healthline.com about its benefits:
"Studies have found that lion’s mane mushrooms contain two special compounds that can stimulate the growth of brain cells: hericenones and erinacines.
Additionally, animal studies have found that lion’s mane may help protect against Alzheimer’s disease, a degenerative brain disease that causes progressive memory loss.
In fact, lion’s mane mushroom and its extracts have been shown to reduce symptoms of memory loss in mice, as well as prevent neuronal damage caused by amyloid-beta plaques, which accumulate in the brain during Alzheimer’s disease.
While no studies have analyzed whether lion’s mane mushroom is beneficial for Alzheimer’s disease in humans, it appears to boost mental functioning."
I ordered it online and it tastes awful. In fact, the only way I can drink it is to mix the powder in a little hot water and gulp it down as quickly as possible. I hope that does not affect the health benefits. But determining whether something is helping the brain is tricky. I will just have to trust it is doing me good.

Not sure if I would personally recommend the mushrooms. I've tried reishi before and it didn't work out. I felt 'off' the entire time.
From my experience, your milage may vary:
Gingko liquid extract. Short term use only and for times you need to concentrate.
Omega 3s and DHA. Anti inflammatory and brain uses it for whatever it can. I prefer getting omega 3s from chia seed / flax seed 'crackers' I make, and ground up local fish for DHAs. Plant based omega 3s are less bioavailable. Not sure if you are keen on eating brain..
Liposomal vitamin c. General wellbeing.
Turmeric with bioperine (sp?). Anti inflammatory.

Hi minceymouse, thanks for the info. Is reishi the same as lion's mane? I'm taking fish oils and a high dose combination of vits and minerals. Hopefully, many things get covered. Have you tried the liquid Gingko extract? Hadn't heard about using it for the short term. I took tablets for a while but wondered whether they were potent enough. Will find out if the liquid version is available here. The thing that helps me concentrate best is microdosing lsd. I only tried it for a few days as I was able to get the microdoses from a friend. It works like a charm. I could concentrate for long periods (for me), that is 3 or 4 hours without fidgeting and taking tea breaks.

Concentration was an issue during my university days. The work was so dull, and I just had to power through some of the sessions to prep for exams.
Yes, all the supplements I've recommended are things I took / take. Short term for gingko as it was super potent.. don't think it should be taken for more than a couple of months at a time.
Never tried macrodosing - if it messes with serotonin receptors, I will pass on it. I tried 5-htp and was way too happy to do any work at a relatively low dose.
