Hello! I think I asked this before but i cant find the thread Im sorry if im repeating myself but why isnt mercury(maybe my perception) seen as being important or as important as other planets in synastry? I think its just as important as venus/mars. Communication is important. If someone is your ideal in terms of looks or ambition but you argue all the time its not going to be fun. I think its just as important as the moon. No quote pls

I believe Mercury is quite important planet in any relationship but the level of its importance probably depends on the charts of people involved. Is the person "Mercurial" or do they even have a strong/highly aspected Moon? When people have poorly aspected Mercuries, they probably don't have a lot to talk about. That might be ok for some couples, though, but perhaps not for a Gem Mercury.
I really don't like Mars/Mercury or Mercury/Mercury hard aspects btw. These are probably my least favorite aspects.

Thanks midnight. One of the main reasons i think mercury is so important is because alot of relationships have communication(or a lack of) as a reason for their issues. Eg, this might be a bad example but one of the most common questions that people ask tarot is how someone feels about them. I know people can show through things they do but other people like to be told directly so its clear. Another example would be how someone would interpret what the other says. Especially today where people are texting more and more we cannot see the emotion or the mood behind the text. One person might be more sensitive than the other and interpret something meant as lighthearted as something really negative. If someone talks too much where as the other doesnt and needs alot of headspace there will likely be issues there. My strongest planets are most likely venus and mars but how organised someone is and how communicative they are, for example, plays a role in how suitable i think they are for me. I dont like people hiding things and i like people to tell it like it is. I dont know how strong my own mercury is but it rules my moon and my mercury is in virgo squaring my nodes. With mars I personally dont like squares or oppositions to mercury, but the conjunction i do like to be honest. No quote pls

vg I agree with you (but Mercury rules my DESC. lol) Well I think most people, if they think of love relationships, really think of romance and frenzy lovemaking and the whole stuff. And all of this is very important if you are in love. donĀ“t get me wrong. But so is Mercury as you said (and of course Moon and Sun, that goes without saying I think). Actually I think there is a book "The Mercury method" by Lois Rodden, which analyzes this in synastry. But I have not read it. To me Mercury is a major relationship planet, but then again Mercury rules my DESC, so I might be biased.
