Hi🌟 What is your Aletheia? From the Astrology Book: Encyclopedia for Heavenly Influences:
Aletheia, asteroid 259 (the 259 asteroid to be discovered on June 28,1886), is approximately 103 kilometers in diameter and has an orbital period of 5.6 years. It is named after the Greek word for "truth" or "sincerity" When prominent in a natal chart, Aletheia shows a sincere person. Its location by sign and house indicates where one is most sincere or experiences sincerity. When afflicted, Aletheia may signify insincerity or confrontantions with unpleasant truths. Personally, I have my Aletheia on 6th House in Saggitarius 9° 29'R (Tropical Capricorn 3° 44'R) And aspects: Aletheia conjuct South Node 2° 14 Aletheia conjuct Sixtygarden 2° 31' Aletheia sextile Saturn 0° 27' Aletheia trine Charis 1° 46' Aletheia trine Hilaritas 1° 46' Aletheia trine Pythia 3° 10' Aletheia trine Vibilia 0° 5' Aletheia trine Amaravela 1° 11 Aletheia trine Sweet 2° 44' Aletheia trine Magion 2° 12' Aletheia opposition Moon 1° 14' Aletheia opposition Mars 0° 11' Aletheia opposition North Node 2° 14' Aletheia opposition Akashi 0° 38' Aletheia opposition Phoenix 1° 58' Aletheia opposition Somnium 2° 10' 🌹💕

Thank you Lionessmind! Such a pretty word. It's nice you have this on your south node, indicates you are essentially sincere...that's how you come across. Also, you have such an intriguing cluster of asteroids conjunct your moon-Mars-NN. Do you ever dream of past lives? I have Aletheia @ 3.26 Aqua conjunct Mercury. I feel like I just passed a cosmic lie detector test. Aletheia conjunct Eros, 908 Buda, 11911 Angel (slightly over 2°), 997 Priska (means ancient/beautiful)...also 743 Eugenisis. That's not eugenics! Eugenisis: "The quality or condition of having strong reproductive powers; generation with full fertility between different species or races, specifically between hybrids of the first generation." Funny to have that conjunct Eros (makes sense) and BUDA (as if you can meditate with a bunch of children running around).

To begin with, the mythological background and etymology of Aletheia are key to understanding her astrological role.
Aletheia is translated more often than not as “Truth” or “Sincerity,” but its true meaning is much more complex. Some of the other “simple” translations include: “unclosedness”, “unconcealedness”, “disclosure” or “truth.”
To fully understand its meaning, the etymology must be considered. “A” is used as we would use the prefixes “non” or “not” in English (ex. nonexistant: something which has no existence). After “A” there is “Lethe,” the name of the river of forgetfulness in Greek mythology. “Lethe” is not only translated as “forgetfulness” but “oblivion” and “concealment;” it conceals your past memories, it sends them to oblivion.
Connecting them further, it is believed that the goddess Aletheia is capable of undoing the “forgetting” which Lethe causes. Perhaps in reference to this ability, Aletheia is sometimes translated as “remembering,” a more logical word for “un-forgetting.” This is key as it reveals how Aletheia’s role extends beyond “truth” in reference to honesty or sincerity, but into the realm of uncovering what is true.
Aletheia is depicted as a beautiful, young woman in white to represent the beauty of truth and the pursuit of it. Perhaps to represent the pursuit, and the struggle to find and determine what is true, Aletheia is said to hide deep within a well, or to hide in the forest, away from humanity as it has grown so full of lies and concealment. It’s somewhat ironic, but to be expected, that the goddess of disclosure and revelation is so intent on hiding herself, yet it speaks to how difficult it is to find not only honesty but the facts and truth to so many of life’s unanswered questions.
So what does this mean astrologically?
In the most literal interpretations, Aletheia reveals one’s relationship with honesty. When well-aspected in a chart, the individual is inclined to be honest, perhaps brutally so; when ill-aspected, the individual is much more likely to struggle with the truth, to be inclined to lie and conceal their motives.
If one looks deeper, Aletheia relates to the pursuit of knowledge, remembering past lives, and the drive to explore life. Aletheia reveals one’s relationship with knowledge, facts, and their understanding of the universe. This can relate to learning and academia but also spiritual exploration and growth. Aletheia shows how we learn and how we try to connect to others through knowledge: Are you a teacher? Are you a spiritual leader? Are you driven to pursue knowledge without restraint? Or perhaps you’re driven to flee from it?
In relation to past lives, very powerful connections to Aletheia can reveal the ability to remember the lives one has lead in the past. Again, this relates to the “remembering” the goddess gifts. Aspects, such as conjunctions (and the tighter the conjunction, the more powerful) with the Sun, will enable one to remember, even if they do not necessarily understand what they are “remembering,” at least at first.
Such conjunctions can also give one similar qualities to the goddess, such as the desire to hide from others in some sense, or feelings of wariness when it comes to sharing the “truth” of themselves with others. There is overall a sense that one isn’t fully safe revealing themselves.

Thank you Lionessmind. All very interesting. I saw a quote this morning that reminds me this: "Aletheia is depicted as a beautiful, young woman in white to represent the beauty of truth and the pursuit of it. Perhaps to represent the pursuit, and the struggle to find and determine what is true, Aletheia is said to hide deep within a well, or to hide in the forest, away from humanity as it has grown so full of lies and concealment." The quote is: “The revolutionary and critical thinker is in a certain way always outside of his society while of course he is at the same time also in it.” - Erich Fromm Heliocentric NN of Aletheia currently @ 27 Gemini, trine transiting helio Aletheia @ 26 Aqua. Transiting Aletheia @ 7 Aqua, so I just had my Return.

I don't know Aletheia is the Greek Goddess of Truth Veritas is the Roman Goddess of Truth the asteroids named after them could have the same astrological meaning veritas is the Latin word for truth This suggests a slight difference: In Roman mythology, Veritas (Classical Latin: [ˈweː.rɪ.t̪aːs]), meaning truth, is the goddess of truth, a daughter of Saturn, called Chronos by the Greeks, the Titan of Time, perhaps first by Plutarch, and the mother of Virtus. She is also sometimes considered the daughter of Jupiter, called Zeus by the Greeks,[1] or a creation of Prometheus.[2][3] The elusive goddess is said to have hidden in the bottom of a holy well.[4] She is depicted both as a virgin dressed in white and as the "naked truth" (nuda veritas) holding a hand mirror.[5][6][7] Veritas is also the name given to the Roman virtue of truthfulness, which was considered one of the main virtues any good Roman should possess. The Greek goddess of truth is Aletheia (Ancient Greek: ἀλήθεια). The German philosopher Martin Heidegger argues that the truth represented by aletheia (which essentially means "unconcealment") is different from that represented by veritas, which is linked to a Roman understanding of rightness and finally to a Nietzschean sense of justice and a will to power.[8] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VeritasThe German philosopher Martin Heidegger argues that the truth represented by aletheia (which essentially means "unconcealment") is different from that represented by veritas, which is linked to a Roman understanding of rightness and finally to a Nietzschean sense of justice and a will to power.[8]
