Unfortunately, COVID has contributed to making co-corporations and credit card companies richer. With more transactions online and credit cards being the mode of payment, it is the credit card companies and banks raking it in as they get a commission on all transactions. And it is smaller retailers who bear the losses.

The Covid response is so much worse than the infection itself. How can leaders be so fully aware of the dire consequences of global lockdown, and completely unwilling to allow for a different response, except they are opportunists with a preexisting agenda?

Extreme poverty, defined as living on less than $1.90 a day, is likely to affect between 9.1% and 9.4% of the world’s population in 2020, according to the biennial Poverty and Shared Prosperity Report. This would represent a regression to the rate of 9.2% in 2017. Had the pandemic not convulsed the globe, the poverty rate was expected to drop to 7.9% in 2020.

“The pandemic and global recession may cause over 1.4% of the world’s population to fall into extreme poverty,” said World Bank Group President David Malpass. “In order to reverse this serious setback to development progress and poverty reduction, countries will need to prepare for a different economy post-COVID, by allowing capital, labor, skills, and innovation to move into new businesses and sectors. World Bank Group support—across IBRD, IDA, IFC and MIGA—will help developing countries resume growth and respond to the health, social, and economic impacts of COVID-19 as they work toward a sustainable and inclusive recovery.”

I have Mercury in Aquarius. When I was young, my Mercury progressed forward, I was at the head of my class, impatient with others and basically arrogant. My classmates couldn't even understand me, quite often. I struggled to find the right words to communicate concepts that were foreign and nonsensical to them.

My pr Mercury turned retrograde, I lost some of my academic mojo, I became more patient. My ego deflated considerably. In 8th grade, I scored in the 99th percentile on the national standardized tests but still didn't have the self-esteem to apply for a scholarship to the private school I wanted to attend. Pr Mercury in Cap opposing pr Saturn, I was under a heavy mental burden. 

Just recently my pr Mercury returned to Aquarius, and now it's synced up with my natal Mercury. I'm not as arrogant as when I was younger, but this whole feeling that I'm speaking a foreign language reminds me of my youth.
