Hi. I have recently got into duads & declinations & am wondering if conjunctions between them are valid. For instance, A has the declination of his Rudra on 28 Capricorn, & the duad of his Kaali on 27 Capricorn. Would this be read as a conjunction? He also has the duad of his moon here. All of which conjunct B's natal moon.

Hi fifiNot sure if I've ever converted declinations into zodiac positions. Please explain more? I assume the method described here, for pinpointing exact dwad positions, also works for duads: astroref.wordpress.com/2010/09/02/calculating-dwad-charts-the-basics/In case anyone forgets the difference, both dwads and duads divide each sign into twelve 2.5° sections, each equivalent to a zodiac sign. With duads, the first section is the sign in question (for Cancer, the first duad is Cancer, the second duad is Leo, and so on); with dwads, the first section is always Aries. aliceportman.com/calculating-duad-and-dwad-charts/

^ Isn't one of them supposed to be equivalent to the 12th harmonic? I'm probably muddling up some concepts, but I don't remember for sure.

But I see my 12th harmonic sun is in Libra. My dwad sun is in Libra (mid-Cap, so halfway around the zodiac, which is Libra). *nods while examining chart* I'm sleepy but yes, I can see how that works, I think you're right, thanks.

Thanks for checking! So it probably happens for dwads.. Not sure how that would work for duads, interested to hear about that.. Will update if I find anything.

Sorry I screwed up! I meant the antiscia, not declinations!! God I'm so embarrassed right now... So it's A's antiscia of Rudra on 28 Capricorn, & the duad of Kaali on 27 Capricorn. I also just realized B has the duad of Parvati on 29 Capricorn. So my question is are conjunctions between Antiscia & Duads valid, would there be a resonance of some sort between them?

Honestly speaking I am prone to neglecting the Dwads/ 12th harmonic charts, even though actually they are very interesting, they highlight all our aspects, based on the natural zodiac. All planets aspecting each other in one of the 30° aspects (the major ones plus semisextile and quinkunx) are showing up as conjunctions in the 12th harmonic chart, it actually should give a pretty good overview what is connected to what in synastry, too, this way.

fifi that is an interesting question! I am not sure I have an answer, but just some thoughts. The Duads are the sub-zodiac/ sub-signs of the main sign, any planet`s antisica will have a sub-sign-placement, a Duad, too. There could be resonance on basis of this, yes, but I am not sure how strong it is. The antiscia themselves are already mirrorpoints and not "real" positions of signs; I am just not sure if or to what degree that matters in terms of duads. If we are treating them AS IF they were actual planets-positions, then sure, I guess the duads would add some meaning. But question is, is it valid to do that? Treat them as actual planets positions? I do not have an answer to that question unfortunately. So basically my answer is : I don´t know.

Do you mean that the asteroid Kaali is at 27° Aquarius, thus making it the Cap duad, and you're keeping the degree?
Sorry to keep spinning on this, just trying to make sure I understand.. #brainfog
As for the original question - while I do see Antiscia-Antiscia, or Antiscia-natal resonance sometimes, I haven't seen whether it holds for Antiscia-Duads.

All the links are very informative, thanks! Just quoting this one because I hadn't considered dwads in this light.
Some of this sounds like the draconic chart (unconscious motivations and such). Maybe we could have a thread for this.

Just noticed I have an exact Pluto-Juno square in the 12th harmonic. Never realized they are semi-semisquare in my natal, about 22°30 apart. 4th harmonic connection! So they are square in the 4th harmonic, opposed in the 8th, conjunct in the 16th...oh my goodness, so much Juno-Pluto and I wasn't even aware of it until you said that. Thanks lumina! Cochrane's helpful study on the first 32 harmonics: www.astrosoftware.com/harmonicfirst32.pdfAnd fifi, is there something in the energy between A & B that calls to mind these gods/asteroids? I don't really understand duads so my opinion isn't worth much, but if you sense that these asteroids are significant, I suspect you might find strong links between them in other ways (draconic chart, progressions, declinations.)

Ava very interesting about the PLuto-Juno-square. And yes, it is interesting how these other minor aspects show up so clearly in the harmonic charts. I think it is mainly what Cochrane and his vibrational astrology is about, those vibrations vibrating through the layers of the chart / personality. Your Pluto-Juno must be in a tight 16th harmonic aspects I guess. the tighter it is, the more frequently it shows up even in higher harmonic charts. My SAturn-Juno should be a bit like this, I have the trine natally and it is only one minute so chances are it shows up in several harmonic charts, in different ways of course.

Thank you so much for your input everyone. & for the links to Alice Portman & LL. I had read & enjoyed both those links. It's difficult to pinpoint if the energies from those particular placements are felt because there is already strong placements in both A & B's natal charts & in synastry to all the name variations of Rudra/Shiva & Kaali/Parvati. But I have also noticed these conjunctions for lack of a better word between antiscia & duad points in my own & some other people's natals & it just felt like it must be more than just a co-incidence, that it must mean something. But as someone with strong Pluto energy & a fascination for psychology, maybe I'm just digging for something that isn't there!

^Oh, it might not be in vain.. I'm pretty sure there could be other patterns if you're feeling a connection.. They might show up in different ways, as Ava says...
