I might have a book on this - I can't remember. On the quindecile. I'll try to remember to check in a while.

^Wow, an entire book on this aspect?
This one confuses me, because there seem to be different definitions followed by different sources. Most widely used definition says it's a 165° aspect. Jewel Mayberry and some others use it as the 24° aspect. I had an article explaining the discrepancy, will post it if I can find it.
Going by the definition of the 165° aspect above, it sounds like it would indeed be obsessive. Haven't really explored where in my chart I have this - will try to do that when I get some time.

Okay, found the article. You can read the full text here. I think Jewel's video was subscriber-only, so I can't link it.
The common thread in both is the root "15". Noel Tyl seems to have used that root as a multiple of the angle itself. The ones that consider it a 24° aspect, use the principle that every aspect is obtained by diving the circle into 'n' parts. The quindecile, according to them, is what you get when you divide the circle by 15. So, in that sense, it's a 15th harmonic aspect(?)
Here are some more interpretations (this site uses the 165° aspect. I know, it's hard to keep up.):
Why can't they all agree on one thing?

Not very "nice" aspect indeed. Sun quindecile Neptute here. I can be often delusional and out of touch with reality sometimes, to be honest...

Another article about it being 24° www.astrolearn.com/astrology-articles/quindecile/Can't find much on the 15° aspect. Actually bumped into Kannon talking about it kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/2015/09/02/15-degree-aspects-in-the-progressed-chart/Talking about lunations on another thread and figured, there should be an aspect corresponding to the distance between new and full moons.

Hey t5, Welcome to the forum if you roll over Ava's name, you can see her tag name. If you tag her (or anyone you want to address), she'll see it in her notifications. Otherwise, messages addressed to others without proper tagging can get unnoticed.

Ava ... Is it ok for me to explore the Venus-SN-Uranus poleaxe figure in your natal chart? Yes please! I never even registered I have that. I need real software.* * Ugh, edit: I FORGOT these are all in aspect; clearly I wrote that in the OP but it slipped my mind. I need brain supplements more than software....

Thank you, Ava ... And, thank you midnight for the heads-up. Ava ... As this board is for relationship threads, I shall open a new thread on the advanced astrology board to explore your Venus-SN-Uranus Poleaxe figure ... "Vibrational Astrology - The 24H Poleaxe Figure". ... So, can you please post your natal chart image there (showing no personal data, and only Venus, Uranus, SN, NN + Saturn-165-Sun + Mars-60-Jupiter) OR give me your permission to do so myself.

Ava ... Note* that your natal chart also has Sun-165-Saturn (which becomes a temporary Poleaxe when a progressed, transit or synastry planet/point is at 14/15/16Aquarius47 OR within a one degree orb of 0Cancer36). ... And your natal Mars-60-Jupiter becomes a temporary Yod when a progressed, transit or synastry planet/point is within one degree of 16Scorpio01. [However, your natal Venus-SN-Uranus poleaxe is activated whenever a progressed, transit or synastry planet/point is within one degree of 6degs35mins (or 20degs00mins) of ANY sign ... So, almost "always active".] *Also, bear in mind that the poleaxe, yod, thor's hammer, grand trine and all other 48H isosceles triangle figures have their apex at the far-midpoint of their (30, 60, 90, 120, etc) base. ... So, these are very helpful/useful in Vibrational Astrology (which combines the 3 techniques of harmonic aspects, midpoints and planetary pictures).

Anyone reading this thread should also note that Anela's link to Rikki Reeves's "Quindecile" book ( www.amazon.com/Quindecile-Astrology-Psychology-Obsession/dp/1567185622 ) contains an excerpt of the whole of Part 1 ... in which she states/summarises (as Chapter 2) what is perhaps the key to using the 165-quindecile aspect consciously rather than unconsciously :- "In my opinion, there is enough energy contained in obsessive-compulsive tendencies to blast off the next space shuttle. It is astounding how much time, energy, and focus we put into these behaviors. They become habit and often do not manifest to the point of obliterating our entire lives, so we continually fall back on them because they are familiar and comforting. When tendencies, impulses, or behaviors are unconscious, they are driven by a perceived unfulfilled need. Awareness provides us with opportunities to meet that need through many different ways; however, as long as the need remains undefined, alternative solutions also remain undefined. We then have no option but to continue to quiet our anxiety through whatever means we have found to work in the past. The anxiety produced by unfulfilled needs is somewhat like the monster in the dark that scared us at night as a child. Once the lights were turned on, we could see the monster for exactly what it was, and proceed to remove the toy, chair, doll, or whatever else it was that had created the monster. Magically, the monster then disappeared and we were able to sleep. So, the first step in being able to redirect obsessive-compulsive tendencies is to identify what unfulfilled need is attached to the anxiety masked by the behavior being demonstrated. In my case, my unfulfilled need is about feeling valued. This relates back to early childhood difficulties and massively affects my self-esteem. This issue disguises itself as a need to prove myself constantly to the rest of the world. This push is then focused into whatever I am working on at the time. In this way I can prove to you that I am valuable and worthwhile, and then maybe you will love me. Boy, was that hard to put on paper! When I strip it down to the bones, the bottom line is an unfulfilled need for self-approval. Bingo! I now have the necessary information to reduce my anxiety and subsequently redirect my behavior. Instead of working so hard to prove myself to you, I need to put the same amount of energy into feeling good about me. I need to work toward being the person I want to be, instead of the person I think you want me to be. When we identify our unfulfilled need, we can then look for ways to fill that need ourselves. By taking steps (redirecting the energy) to accomplish this, we are being proactive in creating and maintaining a healthy emotional life. Just keep in mind that if the steps you take become as obsessive-compulsive as your previous behavior, then you are probably trapped back in old habits. Stop, look at your behavior, and be open to talking about it with others. Then begin working with these principles again."

So, can you please post your natal chart image there (showing no personal data, and only Venus, Uranus, SN, NN + Saturn-165-Sun + Mars-60-Jupiter) OR give me your permission to do so myself. You have my permission. I don't know how to create a chart with only selected planets/points. Will send you my birth time/place.

I thought 0Cancer36 creates the poleaxe with my natal sun quindecile Saturn? ... And your natal Mars-60-Jupiter becomes a temporary Yod when a progressed, transit or synastry planet/point is within one degree of 16Scorpio01. My husband's NN is within a degree of that, so is my pr NN. For what it's worth there are several semi-famous people born within a day of me, same year. I've been fascinated that they all are associated with, and partly famous for, a striking and unusual tragedy/situation (Scorpio Uranus), and love (Venus) is usually an issue. 1. Julie Yip-Williams, wrote a book about dying while dying relatively young, agonized over leaving her husband 2. Vybz Kartel, Jamaican dancehall legend, imprisoned for murder after dubious trial, sings about love in prison 3. Danny Pintauro, child actor from "Who's the Boss?" - HIV positive, fame revived for a moment after getting married 4. Richard Zednik - hockey player whose throat was slit in a game; thanked his wife for her support after the accident, then divorced

Ava ... You are correct. ... The temporary Poleaxe is created at 0Cancer36, rather than Gemini ... and I have now corrected that in my original post. Thanks for picking that up, giving me permission to post your chart and for the info on the semi-famous people. I guess the synastry Yod with your husband is self-explanatory, and your NN progression is just highlighting it as 'something to now review'.

But I haven't really been obsessed with anyone or anything falling onto my SN. At the time I wrote this, I wasn't thinking of the Davison chart with my ex-boyfriend, where the sun is exactly on my SN. That was difficult.

Also, how neat that the apex of my poleaxe came to my attention (thank you) while the sun was transiting right on that point. With the recent new moon there @ 21 Taurus.

I don't know exactly why I didn't mention my natal sun/Saturn quindecile in the OP. Obviously it's a major issue (sun is my chart ruler, sun and Saturn in mutual reception); I guess I didn't feel like talking about it.
My Saturn's in the 12H, tightly conjunct my mother's Pluto, which exactly squares her Saturn-SN. So that's unusual. Her nodal axis is badly aspected and she died relatively young. Obviously this affected me. What's curious to me is how I handled that when I was young.
The other day I had lunch with an old friend* who was around then and again, she marveled at the fact I never talked about it. Never said she was dying. Never brought it up afterwards. If people discussed it around me I would usually either go mute or leave the room. One side effect of this habit was, people seemed to just forget I'd lost my mother or just didn't seem to be a factor. I also never cut myself any slack for the extra hardship arising from being motherless....therefore I just blamed myself for everything, from being broke to not knowing basic things most women are familiar with to making really bad judgment calls. So my self-awareness and self-esteem (6H sun) were largely an unconscious (12H Saturn) reflection of an objectively circumstantial hardship that I took personally and even assumed blame for.
As a continuation of that theme, I've researched medical issues for years (6H), deviate from the mainstream with my assumptions, and it's created a lot of pain (12H Saturn) which I usually either conceal or drastically understate. At the beginning of 2019 I had double eclipses exactly on my sun and Saturn; of course, Covid began that year, and these issues reached a new crescendo.
* Her natal Mars @ 0 Cancer converts my sun/Saturn to a poleaxe, and incidentally, my Saturn completes an exact grand fire trine with her sun and moon, all @ 0°.
Pls don't quote, just felt obliged to supply what to me was obviously missing in this thread, my sun's quindecile.
