Hey @theunknown, do you mean somewhere else on this forum? I have reposted it on some historical forums and gotten good responses on there, I just want to branch out the diversity of the respondents by also putting it here

athenaI am sorry, I cannot partake in that survey, because personally I find those yes/no-answers too simplistic. Yes, I know it is aiming to figure out how much propaganda shaped my view on him, but I cannot think in those Yes-No-terms, I always think any answer would need more elaboration and thinking it through, and also taking into account the historical and political circumstances he made his decisions in. Just as an explanation why I will not take part in this, it is not that I do not want to help, but I just can`t click a simple Yes or No button to those questions.

Hey lumina, that's cool if you're uncomfortable participating. The reason I made it yes/no was for two reasons - the first being that if people were to write in their perceptions, that would make the data qualitative, not quantitative. I only want quantitative data. The second reason was because I wanted this survey to be something of a rorschach test in which people made snap decisions without thinking too deeply, which would be indicative of whether the propaganda was deeply rooted or not. If you're uncomfortable answering those questions without being allowed to elaborate, it means that you have a rich historical knowledge on the Napoleonic wars, which is amazing! I wasn't seeking people with a historical background, just run of the mill folks who may have heard of Napoleon and had assumptions about him without really knowing too much.

I went to link to do survey but questions for a simple yes or no didn't fit my answer. I didn't feel a yes or no reply adequately reflected my knowledge or lack of subject ie Napoleon

I've completed the survey. Hope I'm not too late.

I completed it, too.
I agree that some questions were hard to answer, but I'm used to the fact that in surveys or tests, the questions often don't line up with my way of thinking.
Like Meyers-Briggs, I could never get through it if I didn't just bluff my way through some questions. I don't regard myself as a consistent person, I can be very determined and hardworking or an absolute sloth. First or last in the class. So I have to take the results with a grain of salt.

Thanks guys! The survey will still be open until late April when I have to turn in my thesis I genuinely wanted to do open ended questions but my co-author preferred it if we kept it short and sweet, and eventually I did agree that the results would be easier to manage that way. Ava, that's very Piscean (imo!) as I often find myself exasperated in situations where I have to take a hard-line (especially re: my constantly fluctuating feelings) about something. The way MBTI is set up is super grating considering they throw you 485,204 questions along those lines like that

Hi athena, I did start the survey but got side-tracked into reading about Napoleon as I didn't want to make uninformed judgements. This endeavour, of course, never got completed and I finished the survey more intuitively than I should have.

Thank you so much @astrokeen! Filling out the survey via intuition was very much our original idea
