"So you count mixed midpoints?"
Not religulously.
Too many of them most of the time I get lost. lol
But since midpoints can be strongly activated by transits or solar arcs or progressions, it would mean that these midpoints on the same axis or even in square possibly, would be activated simultaneously, and so yes in this way I count them.
BTW I just found it downright funny that
my Moon/Mars-mp 11°08 Cap
P`s Sun/Venus-mp 11°27 Cap
Were it the same planets involved, it would have been significant for the composite, as you demonstrated below.
we do have
my Mercury/Pluto 17°04 Scorpio
his Mercury/Pluto 15°23 Scorpio
So well of course in the composite the midpoint is the same, or actually around 16 Scorpio on our MC, but also the synastric DW, that happens to be there, gets replicated. It does not always have to be a major aspect, but in this instance it is.
his Mercury sextiles my Pluto exact
my Mercury sextiles his Pluto widely by 3-4 degrees
and the composite has a Mercury-Pluto-sextile by 2 degrees
Again this becomes a sextile rather than a conjunction, because we both have Pluto first, followed by Mercury, and not one having Pluto first and the other one Mercury.
This does not work as well with the squares, but I still find these here significant:
my Saturn/ASC 26°59 Virgo
his SAturn/ASC 26°10 Sag
my Sun/Jupiter 3°34 Aquarius
his Sun/Jupiter 3°34 Scorpio
The one with ASC is interesting, as it of course means that acutally my SAturn/DESC-mp is on 26°59 Gemini and therefore on the same axis as his Saturn/ASC. This always happens with ASC-DESC, MC-IC and NN-SN. If you see a square there, it means that there is a direct midpoint connected to the other angle.
And Sun/Jupiter I just love because of the precision and the signs and well Tr Uranus squaring mine and opposing his has been fun.
"Sun trine sun
Mars trine Mars
Sun square Mars DW
"
Yes, exactly. In your case it is also very strong because of the underlying major aspects. What did it become in the composite a square or a conjunction/opposition?
"Now, my fantastic roommate A, her sun/Mars could be @ 29 Pisces, depending on her birth time...her sun/Mars conjunct mine. But she doesn't share that underlying structure with him, which is why 20 years later, he's talking to me and not her.
"
Yes, just lately I have started to pay more attention to the underlying structures, too. Maybe midpoints are not equal, but those with underlying aspects are just stronger (though I do feel some of the others, too). But it is always intersting in any kind of chart where the midpoint of aspects are and what happens if they are activated. This is basiccally what aspect configurations are about of course. Any grand trine is actually a midpoint combination, as the third corner of the trine is always on the direct midpoint (Opposite) of the other two, fit he orbs are tight enough. Same with a T-square or a Yod.
my Jupiter-Neptune-square has its midpoint on 26 Capricorn, semisquare both, my Jupiter and Neptune. and I guess it is just a coincidence that P`s Venus falls there exactly.
I think this is stronger than if my Jupiter and Neptune had not been in aspect, but this way the underlying aspect gets energized a lot.
I suppose we now can count solstice points, too, since they are having their midpoint related to the Aries point.
, so I think his sun/Libra-planet midpoints are particularly important...like a stepping stone from here to there. And if that stepping stone falls on an AP, might take on more importance.
Yes I agree with that.
