Someone I dislike presented this idea at LL, so I'm giving them no credit (but if anyone's seeking justice for them, they can search there and find the person).
So this is not an original idea. But I like it.
Each of your planets are a certain distance apart from each other, like:
X....X....
Here it doesn't matter if the space is 15° or 43° or what...we're considering what happens when a transit or synastry planet (Y) falls equidistant from one of those Xs:
X....X....Y
This converts the middle X into a midpoint. Tada! Now a planet is emphasized.
What do you think?

Is this not the idea of midpoints in general Ava? And which planet would be emphasised, say for example, my sun and moon are 4 degrees apart, so the midpoint is two degrees from each at 6deg Taurus. A transit to that midpoint would emphasise my sun or moon or both? Sorry if I have completely missed the point here!!

Oh sorry do you mean the transiting planet is emphasised? Our midpoints emphasise the external influence type-thing?

I'm not the best at explaining things and perhaps others are confused. Sorry I can't recall your chart but if you have... 4° Taurus sun 8° Taurus moon I'm talking about planets @ 0° Taurus (so that your sun becomes a midpoint: 0°, 4°, 8°) or 12° Taurus (so that your moon becomes a midpoint: 4°, 8°, 12°). Hope that makes sense?

Ohhhhhhh I understand now, thank you Ava! So if my planets become/sit on the midpoint between two transiting planets? Hmm that is interesting, I'll have to look out for that. I wonder what the effects are..

Avait sounds vaguely familiar, cannot put a finger on it though. I think I didn`t really understand it back then or was too lazy trying to. But transiting midpoints on your planet, I think cosmobiology uses these also. Well if a transiting midpoint becomes conjunct your ASC for example it seems like you are a conduit for that energy, but that is just hypothetical, no clue.

So if my planets become/sit on the midpoint between two transiting planets? I meant, a transiting planet turns one of your planets into a midpoint, like this sequence: Transiting planet (outpoint)......your planet (now a midpoint) ....your planet So for example I have Mars sextile Jupiter exact: 16 Aries Jupiter 16 Gem Mars When planets transit @ 16 Aqua, my Jupiter is now a midpoint between tr planet + my natal Mars. When planets transit @ 16 Leo, my Mars is now a midpoint between tr planet + my natal Jupiter.

hmm, sceptical about this. But open to be convinced.

Oh heavens, okay I sort of get it.. I know its not a difficult concept but sometimes I'm really thick and need to sit on things haha

FruityLlama, Well I think I could have explained it better from the beginning. luminaHaven't we talked about mixed midpoints before? Like "find the midpoint between your Mars and their Venus" ? It's like that, because your can use any planets, but there's always going to be something occupying that midpoint. I'm not convinced, either...just wondering.

So at the moment we have
5 Sag Mercury 5 Cap Saturn
...my 5 Aqua Mercury is an "outpoint"
Is this putting me more personally in touch with that Mercury-Saturn semisextile energy? Yeah, I believe so.
Tr Mercury on my Sag Venus, sextile my Mercury ought to be sparking all kinds of bubbly thoughts...
Instead my mind is like a long dirt road (Cap Saturn, just earth) where there isn't much traffic. Just quietly ruminating on losses, stalemates, regrets.

Doesn`t it also mean your EVC Mercury is conjunct transiting Saturn?

This upcoming Mars-Uranus conjunction is part of a semisextile chain:
29°44 Pisces Chiron 29°12 Aries Mars-Uranus 28°20 Taurus moon
Around 1:30 am on Feb 13th in my location.
I wonder if my pr sun @ 29 Aqua will be affected.
