Ava , right? That line made me think of you two!
Aw, you read mine? Thank you! And definitely, they make it sound like Venus conjunct Mars in Scorpio is the ultimate match. Venus in Virgo is such lovely energy. I've been blessed to know so many Virgo Venus people through the years. It's sweet that your got your Taurus Mars friend to see things a new way. Gotta read more of these...love the author's sense of humor.

ah interesting.
just to be on the traditional side (and because my Mars in Sag and his Venus in Cap suck. lol)
"MARS IN VIRGO WITH VENUS IN CAPRICORN Venus in Capricorn is actually the official dream lover of Mars in Virgo. They may bicker about interest rates, paleo diet versus vegan regime or even one another’s friends but they are in utter and total agreement about anything to do with sex, always. Each feels the other is their sexual soulmate."
Draco - Draco
"MARS IN ARIES WITH VENUS IN ARIES This is one of the ‘we get off on fighting’ combinations. They actually totally HAVE to because both their egos are massive. Both of them want to be on top. Who wins? Who cares? They have fun battling it out. If this turns toxic, they really need to live on different continents. They’re often plate-throwers or door slammers. They should do martial arts together."
Actually can see that. lol the need for at least temporarily live on different continents not necessarily the other stuff.

What is it with Cancer mars and gardening? So many of my Cancer mars friends are into or have developed interest in gardening. Recently, another friend joined the club - except he has draconic mars in Cancer (well, I count that). It's good stress relief for them, from what I hear. Must be nice to be involved with the earth, nurture little saplings into trees.

Quote from the book Scheme of Heaven, by Alexander Boxer:
"The seal of the United States Naval Observatory is emblazoned with a verse from Manilius on the professions appropriate for Pisces."
Also according to that book, data shows that between 1994-2014, in the US, more Leos were born than any other sign, and fewer Caps were born than any other sign. (Births peak in summer, decrease in winter.) It's a pretty significant disparity.
I need to buy that book instead of just taking pictures of pages at the bookstore. Almost $30, though.

^ You can get it for $15 on Amazon, if that's an option.. I was going to recommend this other bookstore I use (which has books for like $4), but weirdly enough, it doesn't have good prices on that book.

Anyone's having a moony-loony time? I was tense again, late afternoon/early evening, and asked dad to bring home my favourite pizza (with the garlic butter dipping sauce, and hot peppers). I've just been watching TV, and I have to do laundry.

I take pictures in bookstores, too. Glad I'm not the only one. I have way too many pictures on my phone, right now. You could also try the overdrive site, with access to library ebooks - by signing up with your local library.. you find it on their site. I haven't searched for the book myself, but it's another option to try.

Last night, I met a cat that was up for adoption, named "Aries". She meowed at me loudly as I walked up, so I made a fuss of her, put my fingers through the cage bars gently, to see if she wanted to be petted. She didn't. She pawed at my fingers a few times, didn't bite, but hissed. I said, "Is that how you got your name?"

My Libra son's female friend asked if he'd be her Valentine. All smooth, he said, "I thought we already were! Our astrological signs have totally been glancing at each other out in space." Ha, my kids.... Pls don't quote

You guys, I’m seriously getting good (*ahem, not meaning to brag) at vibing out aspects between my chart and other people’s. Some random guy comments occasionally on a Facebook group I’m in, and I felt curiously drawn to him in a friendly way, but there was still that sort of “rusty gears” energy that I associate with hard Saturn aspects.
I creeped his profile (no romantic draw, just curious), and I could see that he’s a Taurus Sun, which isn’t usually a great fit for me with friends (no offense, Taureans it’s just that it often clashes with my Mercury and AC/DC axis).
But, I felt a positive Mercury energy, like a pleasant communication flow. We’ve hardly exchanged more than a couple of comments with each other, but I looked up his basic placements, and I was right! His Mercury is trine my Moon, and his Saturn sits on my SN squaring both my luminaries (and a few other mostly harmonious aspects).
I was pretty pleased with myself, needless to say. 😁🙂

I don't know if I saw it on this thread or another...But you made a post or two about enneagrams, Ava ? Anyway, I just remembered wanting to say that that type fits you. And mine does seem to fit my chart. I don't remember the whole thing, but I'm primarily a type 2. They usually rate you with your primary type and a secondary "wing" or two(?) But yeah, I can totally see myself in that, both good and bad. I guess lunar-influenced people could fall into type 2 -- so, my Moon-Asc fits that profile. Other parts of me fit some other types too, ofc, no-one is just one type. But as far as "primary" type goes (or you could say one of the primary types), I think mine fits.*
* Also, you mentioned something about not knowing which one describes you best, or something along those lines. Splash chart or not, no test can fully define anybody. I see these enneagram types as "here are a few important things about you"...not necessarily "here's the only important thing about you". That kind of frees you up while taking the tests because you know that nothing can really describe all of you. And it doesn't claim to. It's all an approximation. It's also an approximation of perspective. Or one of our personas. Of all the different ways we could look at ourselves, here's one and this is what it says.... Just like people - different people will see different parts of you. In fact, the same person can get different results (for the same personality test) at different points in their life. People have depth and nuance and no test can fully capture all of it - but it can give us a bird's eye view, a snapshot of a moment in time. At least, that's how I think of it.

^ Well said 12YearsABlob . Thanks for reviving the topic. I don't know these types at all, despite having read several descriptions in the past. It doesn't stick. In Ayurveda there is your natural inborn state (prakruti) and diseased state (vikruti). Maybe that's like your natal & draconic charts or natal & progressed charts, I don't know. My point is just that when I read about my enneagram it makes me feel like, "That's not who I am. That's who I've become, but it's just an elaborate defense mechanism, taking over my personality like weeds taking over a garden." It's who I've become because various things happened to me or I made choices that painted me into that corner. It feels like that, anyway. My friend sent me this: cac.org/type-five-need-know-2016-05-02/^ As I said in my deleted post, Five is associated with Aquarius, so it's no wonder if it's perhaps overly cerebral: askastrology.com/how-the-enneagram-fits-in-with-the-zodiac/I like the way Twos are described there. I looked for a reading for Two from the Christian site I quoted but found it weirdly negative and don't want to post it, because I hate posting negative readings. The friend who sent this to me is a self-proclaiming Three (Leo sun).

^ Well, what's the worst they can say, manipulative, needy, etc..? Not entirely wrong.. You can't be ruled by emotion and only show the warm fuzzies...Emotion is the whole spectrum..
:ETA: Oh I found it! Lol.. yes, it mentions all that and more. I wouldn't say that's all wrong, but they got the motive wrong. It's one thing to only give in order to receive, and another to realize you're exhausting yourself for people who don't care. It's actually healthy to distance yourself from such people, IMO. What are they saying is the alternative? To always be there for people who have never done the same for you? To a certain degree, we can. But we're not God, and our energy is limited.. We're human and we need support too. There's no shame in putting your energy into more fulfilling avenues (fulfilling is not necessarily reciprocal either). Maybe they met people like that (who give only to receive) and thought that was true? It's alright though, everyone has different experiences..

Oh yeah, makes sense with the Uranus association. Also, your tendency to have sudden insights would also count as Uranian?
Btw, we also get one or two more numbers with this, right? Type X Wing Y? Do you remember yours? No pressure, just wondering.

You make great points 12YearsABlob . I get pegged with that same accusation in another reading, I think it was Mars opposite Neptune, "You only give so you can receive." All your points above comprise an intelligent response. My childhood was "Get over your self-pity" bootcamp and some of that stuck, but I do get upset if I feel like the nature of a relationship calls for certain transactions (ie, I show up for the birthday party because it's a family member) and the other person doesn't feel the same way at all; thus, I'm there for her (yes, I'm talking about my sister-in-law) but she would never, ever do the same for me. Why do I even do this? (I guess this might make me wing #4, Pisces/Neptune wing, victimhood?) I like the song "If I Needed You." If I needed you, would you come to me?...If you needed me, I would come to you.
Why does that song exist? Cuz people wanna know.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It took me all these years to finally realize some of it. Well, it's just how I'm (we're) wired. If we're wired to do these things for the people we love, how are we to stomp on our instincts and put up 'boundaries'? It's all very confusing..

Wish we had this guy's time of birth. Serial killer Rodney Alcala made it to (and won) this dating show. Luckily, she refused to go out with him afterwards because he seemed creepy. (Warning: super cringe-y show, the Dating Game).

My Pisces 8th house spidey senses have been tingling, lol. I’ve been going through old pictures, letters, etc. as we unpack more boxes from the garage, and I thought “This feels VERY 8th house-ish, what the hell is going through my 8th house...?”
So I looked, and of course Neptune has been hanging around in there for a while, but I looked closer and sure enough, there’s Mars sitting right on my Sun, lol. I should add that it’s the nature of the things I’m unpacking that feels very intense, not just the act of unpacking.

This isn't about astrology, but this is a direct quote from an Aries friend of mine:
I put the little star in there. I wouldn't call people that, but she will, and she does.
