Not much to say on this, though it's curious: "The Wow! signal was a strong narrowband radio signal received on August 15, 1977, by Ohio State University's Big Ear radio telescope in the United States, then used to support the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. The signal appeared to come from the constellation Sagittarius and bore the expected hallmarks of extraterrestrial origin. Astronomer Jerry R. Ehman discovered the anomaly a few days later while reviewing the recorded data. He was so impressed by the result that he circled the reading on the computer printout and wrote the comment Wow! on its side, leading to the event's widely used name.[2] The entire signal sequence lasted for the full 72-second window during which Big Ear was able to observe it, but has not been detected since, despite several subsequent attempts by Ehman and others. Many hypotheses have been advanced on the origin of the emission, including natural and man-made sources, but none of them adequately explains the result.[3] The Wow! signal remains therefore the strongest candidate for an alien radio transmission ever detected." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wow!_signal I'm extra curious since it occurred just hours before Elvis died. Like the aliens were summoning him home.

HOW can that be a coincidence!? Well a certain astronomer believes the "signal" was just a pair of comets. The media jumped on that and reported, "Mystery Solved." If you Google the Wow Signal, you'll see what I mean. Other astronomers claim to be more prestigious and more correct, and they rule out the comet theory. They lament that the sensationalized media reports on "Science" without even knowing good science when they see it: blogs.discovermagazine.com/d-brief/2017/06/08/closest-thing-to-aliens-not-aliens/#.Wk7EjdWnHEaThe author of the study that concluded the signal was caused by comets is supposedly trying to prove his theory by renting equipment with which to "listen" to the comets when they come around individually, again. One of these two comets is due to come around again in a few days...on the day before Elvis' birthday, in fact. Odd coincidence!

I thought the wow signal was debunked to be echoes of something doing something light years away? Like space artifacts or something?
