It's that time of the year, right? Do you have any? --- I have so many of these (8H Pisces moon, I collect ghost stories)...but for now I'll try and limit myself. Here's a spooky one... My grandmother died in a bedroom that was connected to my bedroom by a door. After she died, for a short time that room was used for storage. I don't remember why, but there was a heavy desk against that door, in my grandmother's room. And there were boxes under and over the desk. So the door never opened, and I kept it locked. On my side of the door, I had a full-length mirror. Once in the middle of the night, I was on the phone with my friend, crouched by the mirror, idly watching myself as I talked. Then, there was a scratching on the door, from the other side. I was alarmed...but thought my dog must have gotten around the stuff under the desk and decided to scratch the door. Totally uncharacteristic of him, but I figured, that must be it. Then there was scratching at the door above the doorknob. I was frightened again, but I reasoned that the door seemed hollow and a mouse possibly got into the door and was climbing and sliding down with its claws. That actually makes no sense, since I didn't hear any upwards scampering, and there wasn't enough time between scratches for a mouse to climb up again. I was telling my friend that I was scared, and she offered to call the police, but I just didn't know what to do. She kept talking to distract me. Then the doorknob started rattling. At that point I was terrified speechless, and my friend was getting very sleepy. As she drifted off to sleep and stopped talking, it really seemed as if a person on the other side of the door was angry and trying to burst into my room. The doorknob was being rattled full force. I just sat there in horrified silence until it stopped. A while later my brother came home from his friend's house, walking in the back door. I asked him if he had done it, and he denied it. It would have been completely out of character for my brother to try and scare me, and I never did hear any shifting of boxes and the desk, that would enable a person to reach the doorknob. Still, if it weren't for the fact that I had observed other things in that house (lights turning on when no one was there, heavy footsteps when no one was there), I would just assume my brother was pranking me. It's a mystery.

I have a lot of second hand ghost stories from some of my great-aunts, but not many to speak of for myself.
The ones from my great-aunt Francis were pretty crazy, as she lived in Mexico and had gone to see a "witch doctor" or medicine man with my uncle Sixto, and when they went home after the event they tried to duplicate what they had seen him do...with really awful results.
They saw crazy things throughout the night while they were trying to sleep, were woken up to bizarre and terrifying sights, and the story goes that the medicine man showed up at their house that morning at the crack of dawn, demanding to know what they had done. He fixed it for them, so to speak, and after that my aunt Francis swore off anything having to do with experimenting with unknown powers.

Omg Ava sounds terrifying, especially that you've witnessed it yourself. Hopefully, it was your brother playing a prank, because it's hard to imagine why your granny appeared angry with you. Unless, it was someone else in her room. Anyways, I'd hate to be in your shoes. Violets This sounds like it belongs to a horror movie script. Really scary. Good to know your great-aunt wasn't alone. She had your uncle for support and to whitness, too, incase noone will believe. I myself have a few stories. Not sure if all of them were ghosts, but definitely something supernatural.

I think my ghost stories are possibly more like family legends, lol. I have one from my cousin's great-grandmother (I think, or maybe her great-aunt not related to me by blood). That one involves a ouija board, and again it was more like a story passed down through generations, I guess. I'll get to it sometime before Halloween, probably. But Ava, yes that would scare the crap out of me!

Okay, this one is real I know for sure, because my grandma grew up on the property the picture was taken on. While she was growing up in Nixa, MO USA, her family's barn was on a Native American burial site. Her mother knew that, and always warned my grandma not to go digging around in the barn. After that, her family had to sell their property during the depression. When I was in high school, the Nixa fire department burned the old barn as a practice fire, because it was a fire hazard as it existed. My grandma went down to Missouri every year to visit friends and family, so I guess that's how she found about it. This is an actual picture that was taken of the fire. Everyone in my family has one of these printed and/or framed. π³ www.nixafire.org/The-Picture.aspxI deleted the other link, it had my family members' names in there.

Thanks, ladies! Violets , Francis and Sixto are the coolest names! And I love that story and can easily believe things like that happen. The fire pic looks like there's a dark silhouettte of a Native American with feather head-dress standing up in the middle. The flames at the top look like arms raised in anger, with an apparent horse head to the lower left. Is this what you're talking about? Both of your stories remind me of something that happened to me in college, which is relatively boring in comparison, but with a certain perspective, it's actually pretty meaningful and symbolic. I think I'll tell that story below. midnight My grandmother was angry with me the day before she died, one of the few times I remember her being mad at me. But no, nothing about that energy seemed like her. Other people had died in that house, though. In fact, when we first moved in, our new neighbors, including my current best friend, warned us that the house seemed cursed and haunted, because people had already died in it.

Whoa, Ava. I'm honestly glad I haven't personally experienced the stuff you have, it would scare the sh!t out of me. My face right now, lol... I also swore off ouija boards at a young age. Funny how we just know that some things aren't to be messed with.

Ava I like to read your stories. Do you feel the energy of ghosts as well?

Hehehe, really Violets ? For some reason I thought you might have experienced some of this. whisperix , Thank you. I don't feel the energy of ghosts, not that I know of. Well my great-grandfather's ghost is apparently still active, almost a century after his death. (edits long story & article)

Lol. No Ava, thankfully I don't see or hear them. But I do FEEL them, so I guess those are the different ways we experience them, with our Pisces luminaries in 8th! I can't wait to read the article, sounds like the perfect ghost story! Also, I've de deliberately programmed myself NOT to see or hear them, lol. Not if I can avoid it, anyway.

Omg, I'm too scared to write my stories now. It's 1am here. I'll need a daylight to relive my experiences. Violets, I loved the story. I see the native american on a horse with his hands in the air. Ava another experience you shared is really creepy. I had something similar, I'll share tomorrow when it's brighter. I'm going to go to bed now and will try my best notto think about it

Wow, Ava, I just read the article (I found it interesting, not particularly long). It must have been pretty cool to go in there and know that the mansion was directly connected to your family! We have ghosts at my grandma's (now my mom's house), but they don't do much other than make a person feel slightly uncomfortable on occasion, or give you the impression that they're curious about what you're doing if we're working on the property or something. I don't think they're relatives of mine, though. They've been there for a while, and our family bought the property in the early '50s, I think. Really a cool thing about your family's history! π

Violets, That's very interesting that you can sense spirits. What's it like? Do you get a sense of their location in the room, and the energy they bring? Thanks for reading about my family. Someday I will go to a concert in the auditorium part of the complex...and maybe leave the music to wander whatever empty hallways are accessible. I would absolutely LOVE to meet my great-grandfather's ghost.

AvaI can usually tell if they're male or female, sometimes get a vague image (old or young, etc), and can feel the general vibe of what they're doing (hiding, being curious, wanting to be left alone, or holding some sort of hostility for whatever reason). Sometimes their presence is so strong that I could swear an actual person is there, but of course I never see them, heh. I would scream, I'm pretty sure. π

AvaThe funny thing is that I have in my natal chart a conjunction of Pluto/Sun/Mars. It is the focal point of one of my Yod's. I do like your description of your connection. Ghosts tend to talk like this. I was one time at a house and "they" did not want me to be their and I told them:"You called me to show you the light." I went into a room that seemed to be a well in former times. They main use for it was to throw people into it. I looked down and tried to release them into the light. There were many dead people so to say . The building has been replaced by a new one, but I do think that there are still ghost in it. As the owner of the building is not my friend any more I will give it a rest. I do see some people at the place I work at the moment, but I do not have the time to work with my energy on the ghosts there. On step after the other. VioletsSeems like this property is well protected. midnightI will wait for your story to come.
