"they can make it to where others can't make it" Apparently, their eyes have rectangle pupils, giving them peripheral vision so they can see all their options. The feet actually have suction cups as safety back up. And hm... they take small steps to make sure their bodies are well balanced.

It's funny you mention this, I was away from the computer, doing dishes and marveling about how hard it is to be a Capricorn...came back and you had posted that.
But I was thinking....Cap = Saturn. Who wants to be friends with Saturn?
"Hi, I'm Saturn. I'm here to lay heavy pressure on you, to get you to re-examine your life. Just a hint, I think you should restructure it, or yield to my structure if you haven't got your own. Have you improved your...(fill in the blank)...lately??"
Caps are jerks, but we do try so hard not to be.

Ava yup, very true. No one wants to hang out with their boss. I think it's interesting the video said goats live on the edge. Which you'd think would be more of a fire sign attribute. But if you think about it, both Capricorn and Aquarius are aware of the severity of life, of scarcity and survival and so clear boundaries must be created to prevent the deadliest scenarios.

OMG that is exactly what happened when my Cancer sister and I missed our flight out of Paris. She was balling and pleading with the lady at the desk, I was emotionless and trying to get her to be quiet.
Tears were more effective, though.
Cap "strength" can be our weakness in situations where emotional displays unlock the door (if another Cancer is on guard, for instance!) Sometimes I have tried to put something across to my Cancer ASC husband many times, but only on a late night after a tiring day, when I'm blitzed out and finally crying about it, does he listen.

You sound like my sister. I like capricorns, I just wish that I were more like you all. My sister doesn't put most things off. Like the dentist or the doctor. I do. And you guys are funny. I just don't think that everyone gets to see that side of you. Oh, I'll edit out the part you removed. I actually do think that to myself, only to crumple when I'm feeling helpless with something.

anela, I put stuff off, I never go to the doctor and it's been a long time since I've been to the dentist. I just eat very healthy and take good care of my teeth. I wanted to say, Capricorns are fundamentally insecure, just like the mountain goats are one step from disaster. Caps seem cold because they don't want to get attached, only to have the person leave.

I actually see Capricorn to either never miss a scheduled appointment or miss several of them. It's never in between. Saturnisme wwnt to be the rule makers. So either they think it's worth it to follow rules or it's not worth it at all and they won't follow any. Plenty of saturnians are criminals lol. And even if they're not outright delinquent, they're usually the stockbroker or the business ppl who have their own unspoken rules

@theunknown I've honestly never known a Cap who would blow off appointments. Hell would freeze over before I did that deliberately. Last month, my husband and I had miscommunication about our son's orthodontist appointment, and I got a call saying, "He's supposed to be in our office now," and I could have fallen over and died of shame. Fortunately the receptionist is a saint, and they could fit him in later that same day, and no one demonstrated hatred towards us. It's the first time anything like that ever happened to me. I can't understand people who consider it optional to adhere to set plans. Edit - K, you saw my whole post and rant.

Insightful lyrics, I think the mergoat tail could represent those emotional attachments that hold us back.

AvaI am always surrounded by cap but my generation also has that pesky Uranus-neptune conjunction. The person who blew off appt that I know is a cap sun/moon/mars/neptune/Uranus Also I was surprised to see Jenna Marbles - cap mars/virgo sun wanted to put off changing oil for her car until it stops working, so much so that her friends/bf tend to change her car oil for her. So anyway it's all anecdotally. If caps have told someone that they'd show up they usually do keep their words tho. But in matters of having dental or health check every six months or keep ones room clean etc... things that caps don't have to make promise with another human being, lots of them put it off. And yes I mean more as putting it off than breaking a promise since caps take their reputation seriously

I think many Caps see the problems within the medical establishment, and don't want to submit ourselves to the "authority" of such an obviously flawed system. It's kind of humiliating.
And then, being told we are sick, it's like being told we are broken somehow, and we can take that as a sign of failure, our egos get too involved.

Just saw this and thought it kinda fits here, relative to my point above:
Start @ 13:15 - 15:33
Statistics in favor of Gerson Therapy versus conventional. Gerson obviously wins. But doctors won't tell you. Worse, they suppress the truth. I can't even pretend to respect that. It's arguably Caps' JOB to change the social structure where it's weak, fortify it and make it stronger.
For instance, on a related note, Capricorns did a lot to promote civil rights. Not only MLK Jr...
In the 50's, Sam Phillips of Sun Records (Capricorn) was looking for a white person willing to try and promote "the black sound." He found his answer in Elvis Presley (whose guitarist, Scotty Moore, was also a Capricorn.) They helped break the race barrier by not giving a f*ck about it, standing up to it, deliberately challenging it. Elvis was asked not to bring his black back-up singers, The Sweet Inspirations, to a huge venue...and of course the reply was, "You can't have me without them."
It can be said that his popularity became a de facto vote in favor of integration. Even the song "In the Ghetto" was considered radical and alienating to his Southern audience, and he was strongly advised not to go there. But of course, he did.
---
Anyway, maybe I'm just being too idealistic or self-centered, but when Cap takes a stand on principle, it's going to be a long war, Saturn doesn't quit.
The problem in this case of the medical juggernaut may be that too many Caps are enthralled with money and titles, and they aren't willing to take a stand. My dad's one-time girlfriend is a Capricorn, she was VP of a major cancer center, her boss was the president of that center AND president the American Cancer Society. Now she knows full well how valid "alternative" medicine is, and she did push for it. But she could also just keep believing in her establishment, overlooking the politics of cancer. It was a trade-ff she could rationalize. With so much cancer in my own family, and everything on the line, I couldn't.

I can't understand people who consider it optional to adhere to set plans. Edit - K, you saw my whole post and rant. I prefer not to make plans, unless I know that i can make them. I've had nightmares about being late for things, or not being able to make it, and being told that I'm useless, and a waste of space. I wake up feeling that way, too. I hate it when dad tells me that we can do something, though, and then changes his mind, or somehow forgets that he's the one who suggested it in the first place. With the teeth, or medical stuff, I just hate being in a vulnerable position. I guess that sounds so Aries. I need to hear that the situation isn't dire, as well. So of course, I put things off until they might be. I've been taking things like vitamin D, in the hopes of remineralizing my teeth. They've been less sensitive over the past few days, but I probably still have a long way to go. If it works at all. I've been getting grass-fed butter, milk, and yogurt, as well, since it apparently contains things that should help with this. I forget to take things like my liquid Cal/Mag/D, though. My cousin's son managed to remineralize a tooth, or more than one, so I'm just hoping to make things not as bad as they could be, before I go (so that I don't get slammed with extremely bad news, that scares the hell out of me - all because I'm too disorganized/absent-minded to do what I needed to do to take care of them years before).

AvaAs you already know, I dont see the typical descriptions to apply to any sign. Capricorns are not rule followers. They are rule-makers. For that reason, they have their own standard; you either meet them or you don't. So of course for the things that are worth it, they will pour themselves into it. Plenty of caps collect valuable things, and only invest themselves in valuable things. Seth Meyers for example had his section of jokes a white man can't say where he featured women, poc as well lgbtq ppl. He makes an effort to feature Leslie Jones, a black actress. Capricorns often promote meritocracy and standardizing things to evaluate what is valuable or what kinds of work are worth our attention. They might not be the most progressive but you can suave a Capricorn to be open to something of value. Similarly, Libra is not a weak sign, nor is it indecisive; it's passive and interested in winning and being likeable at the same time. Gemini is not two-faced, it is just a very indecisive sign. Sag-gem are about searching. Cancer is also not weak. And Pisces is not soft. They seem soft but they are incredibly fast.

Damn, @theunknown. Well said! anela, I think our 6H suns come through all the time. Sorry to go off topic... Have you looked up Arginine? www.dentistryiq.com/articles/2015/09/arginine-new-study-exposes-additional-oral-health-benefits.htmlMy son had two cavities when he went to the dentist about 6 weeks ago. I've been putting grass-fed pasture butter on his toast, that has the X-factor you're talking about. I learned about it from Nourishing Traditions many years ago, but I don't always buy it. For what it's worth, just anecdotally speaking, he's had about a tablespoon of that butter per day for a month. And when he went back to the dentist for fillings, there was only one cavity. The dentist said it was an x-ray misread but possibly, it was borderline and healed? I used to give my kids fluoride, at the insistence of the dentist, and they never had cavities. As soon as I stopped they got cavities. We have a well, so our water supply is untreated.

The Babylonians didn't view Capricorn as an earth sign. They associated it with Ea due to the goat-fish being one of Ea's symbols. Ea was the God of the Waters and Wisdom. They also associated Aquarius with Ea. Aquarius represented Ea. They definitely didn't view it as an air sign.
