Can someone help me with this person's ASC?

Hello everyone. I have been a massive fan of Helena Paparizou (a Greek singer born in Sweden, she is pretty popular in Europe) since I was about 12 and I have no birth time for her. 

Her birthday is 31/01/1982 so she is an Aquarius. 

Her moon is in either Aries or Taurus. A greek site says she is Libra rising but mentions a moon in Aries (the site was trying to figure out why she put on weight or something....its here if anyone can read Greek or wants to use the translator on the computer: www.astrology.gr/celebrities/stars/story/67135/elena-paparizoy-ti-symvainei-sti-glykia-ydroxoo )  but according to astro.com then the moon is in Taurus if the ASC is in Libra. 

Further, if she is a Libra ASC then that puts Mars, Saturn, Pluto, maybe Jupiter in or around her first house. Personally I think she must be a late Libra rising which would put her mars and saturn in the 12th. 


Anyways, what do you guys think? I thought Leo was a possible choice for her too given her eyes and that she is very confident within herself, dyed her hair a lighter shade, but I can also see resemblances of Kim K who is a Libra sun. 

Just on a side note, the chart Ive posted would make sense as to why I love her so much: our moons are potentially conjunct really closely plus her venus is very close to my DSC axis and sits within my 7th house. Further her North node is right on my ascendant!!

In some pictures of her being a bit heavier, she looks like xtina, who is a sag sun, taurus moon, aquarius rising.

Yet in the first picture you post, she seems strangely watery ... Considering that her appearances change according to pictures (it was hard for me to pin down the general style of each picture, sometimes she seems very revealing and some other oddly modest, and also just odd choices of clothes), also considering the fact that in her career people find it hard to pin down her style, I'd say Pisces.

You can look up Gertrude Stein who is an Aqua with Pisces rising (Virgo moon) who has very similar nose here.

Adam Lambert is an aqua sun, aries moon, Libra rising and his style is definitely much more defined. (he has saturn, mars, pluto on his rising)

William Somerset Maugham had aqua sun, taurus moon, pisces rising. He had very similar features



Also her weight seems to fluctuate a lot, which to me is a jupiterean, especially pisces rising tendency

I am an aries moon so I know lots of Libra rising and they tend to be moderate with their appearances. Usually not super active, but rarely do they gain too much weight and if they do, it tends to be a phase of their life where they were depressed (like Adam Lambert).

Piscean risings I know (which I also attract due to my earth grand trine) gain weight very easily and also lose them very easily.

These are not consistent styles at all. 

Even for an aquarius. Lot of Aquarius artists are known for merging styles, changing styles but there is always some level of consistency: i.e. Shakira, Alicia Keys, Adam Lambert, Robbie Williams, Justin Timberlake, Sheryl Crow. They change, and they are crazy, but there is usually one streak that runs through everything they do. Like even Shakira with all her crazy hair changes and such, it doesn't go from sweet girl to sexy. They are usually kinda a little bit of both and rarely do they wear things like the first picture where it's just plain jane kinda styles. Her wiki bio also said she likes to keep up with international artists' styles, which honestly doesn't sound very aquarian. 


Pisceans on the other hand will play the games. If you are conservative, they'll be conservative. If you are not, they will go wild. And if her rising is in pisces, putting her sun in the 12th, it makes a lot of sense to me.

I did think Pisces or perhaps even Sag a while ago because of her lips and eyes a little bit...(can never tell if they are watery or Leonine) Her eyes do seem sort of neptuney. She did go through depression after her father died though.

Actually now that i think about it, she has a few health problems which seem very characteristic of Pisces suns and rising and they are linked to her weight fluctuations.

Do you think she is characteristic of an aries moon then? If she is pisces asc, her sun and mercury would be in 11th or 12th. Moon in 1st. When she is performing she is either very poker faced or very expressive and engaging which I suppose could be Piscean as well. Holds religious beliefs too

Her eyes occasionally have the Aries glare. This seems very aries moon to me




Also her second pic in your first post seems very aries moony. Just the come-at-me look. And I assume her confidence in herself comes from this moon too.


Aries can be very single-minded so they can also be religious if that's what they are into.

I dont understand greek but it should be obvious in her conversation/interview.

Does she snap, or does she talks fast and seems aggressive? Does she joke a lot, or flirt?
Does she roll her eyes or have other facial expressions?

Aries mooners can be very poker-face in intense situations, as in a performance, but definitely in conversations they can either be closed off, snappy or they are super playful

I can definitely believe Libra Ascendant because of all of the planets it puts in her 1st House or near her Ascendant. I would probably shift her time, though, to put Mars and Saturn in her 1st House, instead, because the energies are just so prevalent. She has that "sharpness" to her face that Saturn Risings do. But, since it's in Libra, she doesn't have that air of hardness that Saturn Rising can have. This may be where part of her "poker face" comes from, as well. I literally don't know anything about her. She seems like she would be pleasant and likable (Libra). But, she also seems like a force to be reckoned with, i.e. the Mars and Saturn rising.

In the pictures in your original post, her beauty seems very classic in that Saturn-esque way. She has a Sophia Loren vibe going on in those shots, who happens to have Capricorn Rising, which is really similar. Pluto would also be either rising or in the 1st. Again, I just get a strength from her. And in that picture with the ice cream cone, her gaze is quite perceptive and Pluto-like. But, it doesn't come off as heavy or scary because she has that Libra vibe going on, which makes it just seem pleasantly alluring and magnetic.

If you're getting any Aries vibes from her or her eyes, I would say it's from her rising Mars. I can buy her being a Taurus Moon because I've come to realize that one's Rising sign/planet actually determines a person's eyes far more than their Moon. The Moon is simply the look in your eyes whenever you're reacting to something or processing something emotionally. Like for me, a Scorpio Moon, my gaze is actually not intense all the time. It just switches into being intense whenever I'm hit with a certain feeling. A person's Ascendant would more so determine how their eyes look in a general situation, like in a photo shoot. So, the fierceness in her gaze, I think, is her Mars rising.

Thank you both for replying! @theunknown In conversations and interviews she is very friendly and charming, chatty and eloquent. She is interesting and goes into detail, she is not shy. very smiley and hugs the presenters and hosts a lot. Expressive. So again I could see that being down to an Aries moon buuuut....

the89freespirit thats true, one way or another she will have prominent aries/martian energy. I can see her being either moon but I was going to add that she has quite a flexible singing voice which I give to Taurus because it rules the voice and all. She has an earthy, rock type voice but she also does classic authentic greek style songs and girly pop too so she is very all rounded. Nicole Scherzinger is a taurus moon and does all sorts- pseudo opera included. But maybe im barking up the wrong tree, idk.

I know that she can be impulsive sometimes like when she decided to enter Melodifestivalen, she heard the song Survivor being played and after years of rejecting invitations to enter decided to enter just because she loved the song so much haha. plus the song was beimg written specifically for the contest so she couldnt just have it. On the other hand, when she was younger she appeared to have made decisions based on common sense...like singing wasnt her first choice i dont think due to it not seeming attainable or something and she decided to stop playing the piano in order to concentrate on her exams. She described music as a necessity for being healthy in an english interview.

Thats what makes me think taurus moon but that said i think she is a bit more fiesty than your average taurus moon i guess

FruityLlama , I say Taurus Moon because she does have a grounded feel to her. Remember that, unless the Moon is in the 1st or 10th, ruling the chart, or in aspect to the Ascendant or Midheaven, it's a much more subtle energy. It's like the underlying influence of a person. Taurus Moons can certainly be feisty. I have a friend with three planets in Aries, including her Sun, and a Taurus Moon. Unsurprisingly, she is a firecracker but she still is level-headed and sensible underneath that. I can pick up on that need to stay grounded and reasonable in Helena.

I watched the first two interviews and the Libra Rising is even more confirmed for me, as is her 1st House stellium. These are all such forceful, intense planets yet the stellium occurring in Libra allows her to express that really powerful energy in a very light, amiable way. She is so dynamic and has a lot of presence. But, there is that airy quality to her, as well. She has that Air Rising thing of looking all around the room as she's talking (most evident in the second video) and often not directly speaking to the person. Her eyes are thoughtful yet distant when speaking. She seems more serious and intense in those pictures, when she's not speaking, as well as not as approachable as she comes off in conversation, which would reflect the Saturn and Pluto rising in particular. And her responses are very Libra, from reiterating how important love is to being very accommodating when the interviewer asks her to sing, wanting to know which kind of song he wants to hear. Also, since Mars in Libra is such a contradiction and is in her 1st, she sounds both impulsive and indecisive to me. I don't remember what she was exactly talking about but it struck me, in the first interview, when she spoke about taking forever to make up her mind on something and then just saying "screw it" and deciding to dive right into it.

Whitney Houston is an Aries moon, so is Celine Dion. And of course Adam Lambert has crazy range ... so I don't think your moon sign predicts your singing voice. Like Norah Jones and Xtina are both taurus moon and they like bluesy stuff. Taureans tend to like bluesy and slower songs, so her songs do seem more main stream for me. Sheryl Crow too is a taurus moon, and she likes telling stories through songs. They tend to be slower too. So you can see preferences; arian singers tend to like faster or more dramatic things. Like Selena Gomez has a rather watery/earth chart but her aries moon makes her go for more upbeat songs. When you have a taurus placement, you desire to feel all the vibrations of notes. Thats why taureans like to drag things out so they can feeeeeeel. Diana Krall for example sings jazz but she has an Aries moon. And you'd notice that she cuts notes short, and keep things to a more piercing quality. I dont know how to explain it... but it sounds cleaner than typical jazz.

Not that aries moons don't feel but the way she talks about being a survival and going after things, that sounds like she desires to express her VITALITY which is a key word for Aries moon. The second video is very obvious for Aries moon. And that's my personal take as someone who's seen aries moons of all sorts of placements (including 4th houser or 12th houser). The way she laughs and jokes at the beginning is so typical child-like manner that I've seen even in the most reserved Aries moon. You know, Aries likes to butt head We like to greet people with something punchy

The thing about tradition is that she is an aquarius with a cap venus. So she can settle for certain things. Aquarians tend to study and absorb a little bit before breaking through. If you take an Aquarius with Aries moon like me for example, you'd be surprised of the "traditional" tedious stuff I do. She has a mars-saturn conjunction in Libra, which explains her first video where she said she was thinking whether she should do this or that.

@theunknown I was just outlining how her voice is quite earthy and also has a lot of variety which I cant decide if that would be an aries or taurus thing, or maybe neither, maybe its her Aquarian sun or something else entirely. 
I think she has progressed towards a more rock style in recent years though. 

I know loads of Aries moons in real life too. I can see similarities but at other times I feel like she is slightly warmer or something than the people I know (not meant to offend i just cant think of a better word right now). But like the89freespirit said, the moon is really subtle so maybe I am just talking rubbish here haha

FruityLlama oh no worries. Fire signs and especially Sag and stirs don't sympathize much; they are generous, and live big but def not too sympathetic.

However you have to take into account the rising sign.

Like I have a Taurus riding so I always come off as very sympathetic and people live to dump their complaints on me just because I give off this peaceful-I'll listen to you vibe. Of course they found out my Arian side once they know me better

Oh you are a taurus rising? I totally understand the peaceful "i'll listen to you" vibe. Im a taurus sun and moon, cancer asc and people do the same to me haha

Cant say whether Helena comes across the same to me or not though... ive never seen her in a situation thats required her to be sympathetic. She is a judge on The Voice greece, but ive not watched it that much.
