Hi
I am just curious on how something is determined. For example someone looks at my transits that month, how do they determine exact dates something may happen? As in they tell me, it is possible you hear from that person on that and that date. I a always wondered how this is determined from a chart?

@intuitivefish I'm not very good at transits yet, but I'll throw some thoughts in here until someone more experienced will join the discussion "As in they tell me, it is possible you hear from that person on that and that date." I think, this excact scenario usually assigned to when Venus goes into Retrograde phase, especially when it aspects your natal planets or passes though "romantic" houses (5H, 7H and even 12H). A quick example, look at Jupiter transits for the month. If it aspects your Venus or 7HR, for example, you have a higher chance to meet love, be more popular socially, spend more and indulge generally. If you're already in a relationship, it can improve during this transit.

In a Horary chart you use the two planets that fit to question and then count the degrees until the aspect is exact. This is mostly the Moon and.... degrees=units planets=significator
Angular or Cardinal = Fast Succedent or Mutable = Slower Cadent of Fixed = Slowest
Faster times would be minutes, hours or days. Slower times would be days, weeks or months. Slowest times would be weeks, months or years.
Cardinal/Angular = hours or days Cardinal/Succedent = days or weeks Cardinal/Cadent = weeks or months
Mutable/Angular = days or weeks Mutable/Succedent = weeks or months Mutable/Cadent = months or years
Fixed/Angular = weeks or months Fixed/Succedent = months or years Fixed/Cadent = years or indefinite or unknown
Please bear in mind that there are other rules as well like "Is the chart valid?"
