I'm working my way through the Harry Potter books (again), and also bought The Passenger, and The Little Stranger, from the bargain sections. I have The Visitors, and The Couple Next Door, waiting on my kindle.

“Astrology Really Works” by Magi Society is incredible. I’d highly recommend it.

The Passenger, was good. The only book to hold my interest for a while.
On the kindle, I have waiting:
The Luster of lost things Stranger in the house The power The burning girl
And a book by someone who lived with the Amish for a while. I can't focus on much right now, and these are borrowed from the online library. Hoping I can get through them

I've gotten back into reading this year. Some books I read were:
Biology of Belief Real Alien Worlds (takes a crazy mind to read this, and I am crazy) Roanoke Girls (which I found to be rather cheap and primitive. I wouldn't recommend) The Wonder War and Peace (which I'm now reading)
I want to read more Russian literature, so my list includes, but is not limited to, Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky and 12 chairs by Ilf and Petrov.

I don't know if you guys are into historical biographies but I'm reading Andrew Robert's "Napoleon: A Life" and it's incredibly well written. Apparently Roberts got access to thousands of letters otherwise not released to historians previously by the French state, so his finger is very much on the pulse of Napoleon's psyche. I also learned something about Napoleon that kind of blew my mind: he was raised "Italian" throughout his childhood. He grew up on an island called Corsica, right in between Italy and the western most part of Europe. It was controlled by the Italian state for a couple hundred years, though eventually the French conquered it when he was a young boy. Considering he learned French as a teenager, he always spoke French with an Italian accent throughout his life, and was considered an "outsider" by much of the French people when he eventually become Emperor. In fact, throughout his early 20's, he loathed the French and even wrote pamphlets about killing them! Kind of insane he would go on do so much for that country as an adult.

I read YA books for shizz & giggles and now can't get over the fact that young heroine killed the villain. Guys, I cheered for him so bad!

I recently read The Woman In The Window, which was okay... I had real deja vu reading it, which has been happening to me lately, and I felt like I'd read it before. Maybe I read a summary of it, and forgot about it. I'm reading Before The Fall, and what was the other one? Damn it. Artemis.
I miss being able to read for hours. I wish I could win the lottery, so that I could stop worrying about a number of things, and my dad could stop working and just relax.

anela, It's totally understandable that you're worried, most of us can't escape that tendency. But consider...you don't HAVE to worry. There is no obligation.

anela , It's totally understandable that you're worried, most of us can't escape that tendency. But consider...you don't HAVE to worry. There is no obligation. I have actual reasons, like $3000 in medical bills. From one freaking day. I don't want to talk about it, but this is why I don't go to doctors, and I haven't been able to go to the dentist (and I'm scared of what they will find, and say, when I finally get to one). I have no insurance, no way to pay this off. It's just another worry, on top of the usual.

That's horrible and you have all my sympathy, anela . Not judging you whatsoever, or telling you what to do, just saying if we can learn to let go of worry, we feel better.

Enjoying this I'm reading his book "I Wrote This Because I Love You." A collection of essays. I picked it up from the library because I liked the title and the rave reviews on the back. It really is bizarre, brilliant, and hilarious. His chart has this interesting kite (noon chart): My composite with him has the NN @ 14° Aqua, so how funny that I'm just learning about him with transiting SN @ 14° Aqua.

I have a pile of books from the library including Dead Girls (essays on the obsession with dead girls in movies, tv shows, the news, books, etc). Secondhand Souls, White trash zombie books two and three, Reincarnation Blues, Florida, two Harry Potter books, and so on. I also have books that I own, but haven't read or finished yet (newest Stephen king book, Witches of East End, etc).

I understand, it's just difficult. It's easier when I'm not feeling stuck, alone, terrified, and so on.
