It would be helpful to explore meanings of cards particularly for those with negative meanings. I am referring to: Coffin, Fox, Clouds, Cross, Snake, Mountain, Mice, Moon, Crossroads (any others? ) Their meanings will differ according to context, positions and other cards in a spread, and it would improve our understanding grealty to share experiences with these cards. I would like to start with Coffin. This is said to have a range of meanings, either figurative or literal. Transformation - like the Death tarot card An ending - this may also be an ending, perhaps of a long drawn out troublesome part of our lives Death No 8A serious illness Dark hair I pulled this card when I asked about my mother's health some time ago. She was very ill and passed away a few months later. From vg: I try to look at leno the way I do with tarot - pictures, if they remind me of objects and numbers too.......I asked how my evening would go once and coffin came up - it was just me going to bed...it isnt always endings - can even be you lying on the sofa or bed when you chat - it could even be your pc "C" for computer.Has anyone else found these or other meanings?

Here's a variation on coffin. . How a meeting with the boyfriend would go - man, ring, bouquet, house, coffin Coffin as the final card in such a positive spread cannot mean something negative. I would assume that it takes on a more positive meaning, such as a change for the better or a fresh start. Or as vg suggested, going to bed. Coffin as a number 8 might apply here, since they were to meet in 8 days. Any other thoughts on this ?

coffin is change/end - so it will change/end what was before that. That can just mean end of meeting then going to sleep - maybe the meeting goes late into the evening.
pls dnt quote

Ah vg, I was amending my post to include your previous interpretation just as you were posting.

I agree with sleep, and also break (such as rest). I’ve had it come up to describe a short break (coffin + clover; and it was actually spring break).

Here's another card - MOON The online interpretations are as follows, which actually don't fit with the meanings in my spreads: Keywords: Emotions, fame, creativity, evening, moodiness, romance, arts, intuitionGeneral Description: The Lenormand Moon is a great card if you’re looking for fame. It doesn’t mean you have to be a famous celebrity, but it does mean you’ll receive recognition of some sort. The Moon can also indicate romance and the feelings associated with it. It also can represent creative endeavors – writing a book, an art project, etc. And another: Subconscious, Intuition, Emotions, Fears, Desires, Fantasy I have found MOON to have a negative meaning. For example, when someone asked if they would get a job, I pulled - letter, house, moon - the person got a letter of rejection sent to their home address. Moon indicated disappointment here. The darkness contrasts with the brightness of the sun, or flowers - cards which would have indicated a positive outcome. Perhaps MOON is one of those cards which needs clarification with further pulls. Has anyone found it to have both positive and negative meanings?

My Lenormand deck's Moon usually comes up as subconsciousness, secretive.. like if someone is married and has a clandestine crush on another that they're tempted to act out on, Moon has reappeared in that reading time and time again. It's very similar to Tarot's Moon - things are hidden, perceptions can be a bit fuzzy, a large part of the picture being hidden from view, etc. Though I do feel like Lenormand's Moon is a little more positive/coherent in comparison?
For your interpretation (disappointment) the phrase "dark night of the soul" comes to mind
