Everyone here is impressively ahead of me in astro knowledge, that I would like to suggest setting up a beginner's guide to transits in Basic A. Maybe we could all chip in and also add links to useful articles.

@astrokeen, well a transit guide would fill probably a whole book, and then most of us would write different books. I can only say that I check for the angles in particular, and what is conjunct them, because that is being brought foreground. And then the Event chart itself AND the transits to the forum chart. if we put for example our Jupiter on a transiting angle, not only Jupiter will be coming to the fore and be REALLY prominent, but any aspect Jupiter makes, hence the whole grand Cross. dynamic aspects like opposition and square, and partly also conjunction mean there is a lot of buzz generated, energy, sometimes tension, sometimes just an energetical boost harmonious aspects like trine and sextile are smoothing out the edges quinkunx is a see-saw aspect, a bit awkeward, modifications and often compromises will be necessary Aprt from that I check for symmetrical aspectfigures. For example our forum chart has a minor triangle of Saturn trine Uranus and both sextile Sun, that could be a good thing to be activated; Sun in Aquarius is great for an astro website anyway, and with SAturn-Uranus it seems to be about changing the status quo, but in rather harmonious ways, so it probably would be good to have this emphasized. Apart from that for election charts, really the ruler of 1st and 7th house should be taken into account (though it is usually more important for marriages or first meeting charts, but well there will be people coming to the forum, and they will be characterized by the 7th house and its ruler - not a good idea to have those rulers in quinkunx or square aspect.) Moon is the next important thing, maybe the most important thing even, as I read it should be waxing in election charts, so between New Moon and Full Moon, growing in size. And espectially the first and last applying aspect of moon are often indicative of how an endeavour will develop and how it will end. So we do NOT want the last Moon aspect being an opposition to Mars for example, unless we want to have many loud arguments.

Yes!! You have all taken my idea of Jupiter going direct Jupiter is obviously the best for expansion or opening the doors to the public; so it makes sense for us all to wait until then.
On another note, it might be worth while having another tiers of the forums open only to certain people. FOR EXAMPLE: - Guests (People not signed in, or people with no account) --> SEE 60% of the Forums.
- Members (People signed in to the forums but do not have Mod status) --> SEE 90% of the forums.
- Moderators and Beyond --> SEE 100%.
Now you'll probably wonder why we should have a divide in visibility between Mods and Members... This is because when the Forums grows, things will start to get speed up quick, and it will help with the management of the forums in the long term if everything is organised this way. Such as having Members only areas, prevent guest users from posting (they should only be allowed to view and access the core areas).

Hi sven555 , Thanks for the Jupiter suggestion. We already have a staff only area (moderator discussions)- only 90% or thereabouts of this forum is for members only. We were agreeing to keep some open for access (not posting) for guests too. See thread in Forum Matters - astrorebels.freeforums.net/thread/320/forum-public?page=2&scrollTo=7384I posted a question for you there . ps. some of the posts here which would be better in "forum matters' I would like to move there, if that is OK. As this board will be open to the public.

Ava , I need to brush up on my draconic chart reading skills In this case the most striking thing is that AR's moon is at 22 Cancer, and this June 9th full moon's draconic chart has the sun at 22 Cap, moon at 22 Cancer. Too bad astro.com won't let me do a tropical-to-draconic synastry, or I could show this visually.

I prefer the new moon on 24th June. Jupiter is finally direct and away from the Fixed star Algorab.

I am not sure what the verdict was. The aspects with the draconic chart were pretty compelling: "AR's moon is at 22 Cancer, and this June 9th full moon's draconic chart has the sun at 22 Cap, moon at 22 Cancer. " lumina and Ava, would you agree that June 9th is a promising day?

@astrokeen
curiously I just looked up the 9th june, though not in terms of the chart HERE. I just noticed that this day has a fullmoon (falling onto P`s and my composite Mercury, sort of took note of that. lol)
The full moon it self is on the midpoint of Mercury/Mars, so it might be good for very outspoken communication, but chances are that sometimes discussions get a tad heated (but usually not nasty, underhanded or mean). it is a pretty straightforward midpoint picture. Have not looked beyond that to be honest.

An agitated nervous system. The ability to be pointed and assertive when speaking. Sexual communication. Sun: To argue masterfully. To stick to what is most important when one is communicating, and to not be afraid to say what is on one's mind. An aggressively egotistical communicator. Moon: The emotional need to be able to say what one things, and to let out anger verbally. The urge to argue or to speak passionately is arouses when one is feeling insecure, or very emotional." --- john-sandbach.blogspot.com/2010/11/planets-affecting-mercurymars-midpoint.htmlCan you think of a better time? whisperix suggested the new moon June 24th. We lose Jupiter stationary direct...but new moons are nicer for beginnings, I agree.

Ava and lumina , the URL for astrogarden was changed at 2:56 pm Central USA time, on 7th June. Maybe the event chart could help with determining a going public time.

Good job putting Jupiter right near the ascendant, @theunknown. NN trine Saturn and Uranus, long live the strangeness of astrology. Astraea conjunct Juno-Kaali in Cap. What is that configuration called that's made of two Pythagorean Triangles and looks like a box of Chinese food? *researching* I guess it's a trapeze. The trapeze is an infrequent figure formed by two planets in trine, facing two planets in sextile, the two groups being in mutual square.This figure has no precise rules because it has not yet been classified, nor systematically researched. Trines and sextiles bring about easiness and connections to the planets involved, and thus, some level of harmony in the areas indicated by the corresponding houses, and according to the planet's nature. As for the squares linked to both groups, they express difficulties in conciliating the areas in question.For example, the 10th house and the 2nd house facing the 7th and the 5th houses may herald a tension between financial and professional matters, and marriage and heart affairs, and so forth for all the other possible house combinations.However, like all figures with hard aspects, the trapeze prompts to create and to build in order to progress, at the cost of a little bit of will and energy. Thus, this figure seems dynamic and positive, and more manageable than other very explosive figures (the grand cross, the arrow or even, the T-Square), all the more so because tension and easiness are more balanced. For all specific or rare cases, reflection and common sense are always the best tools for the good interpretation of any figure.www.astrotheme.com/files/figures-composed-aspects.php

This is looking good, Ava . Kaali conj Pluto holds much transformational energy. There are many other spiritual and healing asteroids/Goddesses that are prominent. This is a blessed chart with much spiritual support. Just a few listed below: Spirit conj MC trine Parvati - beautiful! Hygeia conj IC Horus conj Neptune Angelica trine Kaali/Pluto Divine conj Dsc Gabriella conj Venus Logos trine Mercury exact Fortuna/Tara conjunct Angel Another thing noteworthy are many number patterns - which I normally don't see together in charts. I take these as auspicious. Jupiter - 13.13 Spirit - 10.10 Ceres - 16.16 Angelica - 19.19 Fortuna - 5.55

Today is 13th June, which in the Vedic calendar is an important festival day celebrated in honour of Ganesha. Ganesh is the god prayed to at the start of new ventures. He is regarded as the removal of obstacles. The festival name is ‘sankashti’ - this has a Sanskrit origin meaning ‘deliverance during difficult times’. Given that the event chart for AstroGarden is very positive - nearly all transits still the same - I would like to open the doors to the forum today rather than wait till the 24th new moon. What this means is to make the forums visible to the public so that they can read contents (as is the case for all forums) but must register in order to post. We would keep forum matters hidden from public view. If there is another forum which people don't wish to be public right away, then please let me know. If anyone has any objections, please raise them too. cc: Admin , @intuitivefish , enneline , lumina , Ava - drawing you attention to this as you are all present.

Another good transit today -
"On June 13th, Mercury will trine Jupiter. Jupiter makes things bigger, the best way to work with this passage is to dedicate your time to creative communications/writing/sales projects, letting the inspiration come freely, and then rip straight through your work with red ink a few days later when the mood is slightly less bombastic."
