Just realized that this takes place today. Tr Sun conjunct pr Sun.
Robert Blashke put a lot of emphasis on this one, though it is downright creepy to remember that he passed away a week after his progressed Solar Return happened (with chartruler Mars conjunct natal Node - he saw it positively, but well maybe in the end it was positive, as it was liberating him from the pain of his terminal illness).
Anyway he was very sick, so that has to be kept in mind.
Well so my progressed Solar Return looking like this, I just can`t help but notice quite a few conjunctions.

pr SR ASC in natal 9th house; pr SR DESC conjunct n Jupiter (11 Pisces) in natal 3rd house - I just started working at a second school, so I think this definitely fits.
pr SR chartruler Mercury conjunct Pluto - I had that in my natal Solar Return in a year that proved to be very meaningful to me, and for most part surprisingly happy.

lumina So this is the time when the pr sun and transiting sun are conjunct? Is this a very refined calculation? Seems it would be difficult to pinpoint the time manually?

AvaApparently the progressed Solar Return Happens AS many days after birth AS your age is. I Just saw it coincidentally that Tr Sun is in the same degree AS my or Sun today, and then I Finetuned Tr Sun to the exact Position of or Sun.

Hi lumina - sorry but should the natal of the progressed SR be the same as the SR of the progressed natal chart? Do we keep the same birth time? I created a natal chart for X number of years(in days) away from my birthday and used the same birth time and the houses are out a bit compared to my progressed natal.

vg sorry I don`t quite understand your question. Well the progressed Solar return is when Transiting Sun is conjunct the progressed Sun exactly; that could of course happen at any time of the day, not necessarily the same birth time as your birth. It`s the same calculation as with the "normal" Solar Return (of natal Sun), just that instead of the natal Sun we pick the progressed Sun; it is a bit difficult as the progressed Sun of course is also moving, however there will only be one time when the transiting Sun and the progressed Sun overlap exactly.
Having said that, I am not sure it really works, though another method I have found very valuable was tracking the progressed Moon of the Solar Return.
So using the normal Solar Return as basis and progressing it, checking when the progressed Moon of that chart will hit some natal or Solar Return planets exactly.

lumina ... Trying to get my head around what the progressed solar return brings to the astrology table/party :- 1. Solar Return ... when the Sun returns to the exact degree of it's natal chart location, and indicates the development/experiences of our Natal Sun during the 12 months until the next Solar Return. 2. Day-for-a-year Secondary-Progressed-Sun ... when the transit chart is drawn for the exact natal-chart-time of birth, X days after birth - indicating where the incarnated Soul intended to be at x years of age, and where it was subsequently intending to go during the 12 months until the next Progressed Chart. 3. Progressed Solar Return Chart ... when the transit chart is drawn for the time at which the Sun reached it's exact degree location in the Solar Return Chart? ... Indicating? (And is the Solar Chart not also a transit chart for the time at which the Sun reached it's exact location therein?)

lumina ... Trying to get my head around what the progressed solar return brings to the astrology table/party :- That`s always the question about any method, isnĀ“t it?
I honestly have not really invested much mental energy in this, I just know that Blashke was writing about its importance.
