Anyone ever do Pilates? Whats your experience? I've signed up for some online classes, my goal of this is i want to strengthen my abdominal muscles and improve my posture.

vg Love pilates, dislike yoga. Mat pilates are the most boring though, I love the reformer. Since everything is closed, I've already lost a lot of my strength Would love to go back to my reformer classes.

minceymouse - The reformer(beginners obviously) is what I've signed up for, will be over zoom. My abdominal area just really needs to be strengthen. My legs are strong as I walk alot. Upper body needs work. 2 pregnancies have done my back and abdomen no favours

vgBeginner classes tend to be super boring though. I did some in the UK to get rid of my back pain, and I wasnt fan of what they considered 'beginner'. I guess you can learn some of the breathing basics? Try getting into a class with an instructor who is good. Usually they will ask if you have an injuries / concerns (it is my ankle for me). The good ones will push you - hard, but not allow injury.
